Heart of Imperial Economy 'torn out' as Hutts escalate Imperial conflict.
Following earlier reports that the HQ of the Imperial Czerka Corporation had been destroyed in a targetted attack, information has reached this publication that has caused some analysts to suggest the Imperial Security Bureau has 'lost control of the flow of information'. A source from within Hutt Space released a slew of holocommuncations data confirming a large payment was made to a mercenary (who remains at large) to 'disable' Imperial Czerka, 'by any means neccessary'. The flow of communcation also confirms that the Imperials are failing to attract mercenaries, and that the ISB has thus far failed in efforts to stop Hutt bribery payments reaching Imperial Troops and Officers.
It is understood the bomber was allowed onto the compound under Imperial clearance codes, and proceeded to attack and kill the Imperial Czerka CEO, Ms Hipori, before taking out the compound itself by destoroying the generators. Imperial Czerka, which is based on the same planet as the Imperial Capital, was annihilated in a chain reaction explosion - emergency services only responding after the information reached broadcasters. A Hutt source said that the "heart of the Imperial Economy has been torn out as a result of valiant mercenaries, there empire shall fall before the might of the Clans".
Hutt fleet movements have hastened in recent days, with 'sizable concentrations of warships' seen travelling in formations to mustering areas, as the Hutts signal the 'second stage' of the war is set to commence, amid rumours the Supreme Mogul has offered the Empire peace talks. Sources within Hutt Space have further confirmed that the Hutt Slave Legions are being called up across hundreds of planets, with millions of indentured 'chattel' being drawn up to fight. Analysts predict that this is being done to ensure the second stage of the war can commence 'immediately' should talks with the Empire fail to meet Hutt expectations.
With the Hutts already securing several major victories in the open stages of the war, it is notable that they have yet to deploy a single military asset into Imperial Space - meaning the Empire is effectivly on the backfoot to handfuls of mercenaries, and alleged operatives from the Sith Order.
Security services have failed to deny increases in violent crime within Imperial Space, however it has been confirmed that Cartel-aligned gangs have started taking part in gunfights in open streets wth planetary security services as the Hutts 'flex their muscles' in the independent space between Cartel planets and the Empires eastern dominion. The destruction of the Imperial Czerka HQ, and video footage taken from automated drone cameras, has been circulated across Hutt and Independent planets, normally through Hutt influenced news channels, as 'proof' the Hutts are 'winning this conflict.
ISB operatives have failed to clamp down on news moving out of Imperial Space - a sign that Imperial power is weakening? Or a deliberate ploy to spread the methods of Hutt agents? Here at the Herald, we are keen to find out.
