Imperial Prison on Hapes
2243 Local Time

Drace was starting to enjoy these missions. Go in, cause some chaos, get out. It was simple and to the point, the Mandalorian getting through them on autopilot. He knew that it wasn't just violence for the sake of violence; these missions had a purpose—to destabilize Imperial worlds and sway them to join the Mandalorians. He'd heard of something similar being done by the Old Empire, though he wasn't sure how that had gone. From speculation, the general opinion was that they were trying to gain the foothold needed to wipe out the Republica's capital, something that they should have done long ago. If you gave Raz the amount of firepower the Sith had, she would have had the Republica on its knees in less than a week.

Drace, two other Mandalorians at his side, peered through his binoculars at the prison several hundred meters in front of them. He was laying on his belly in a bush, the only thing poking out being the tip of the binoculars, which he passed to Percy, who was to his right. "Alright," he said, concentration visible on his face. "We were given two options for this: go in quiet, or guns blazing. As you know, there's a laundry truck passing by here in approximately 2 minutes. We either hijack that and enter undercover, or just shoot down as many bastards as we need to go in. What do you guys think?"

"Go in quiet,"
Arturo replied, a meter to Drace's left. The tracker, like his brother, was watching the prison, trying to make out guard positions and hard points through the dark. "We don't need to let 'em know we're here till we've gotten inside. Easier that way." His words drifted off as he adjusted his position, staying low and hidden amidst the foliage. He could just about make out men patrolling atop the walls of the prison in the distance, massive spotlights sweeping the grounds outside, beams of white light sweeping the blackness that pressed in from all sides, oppressive.

He was here for the same reason Drace was, in a way. He enjoyed these missions; they gave him purpose, something he could strive towards that was bigger than him. Bigger, even, than his House. What they were doing here was for the Mandalorian people, each and every one of them. It was for Mandalor itself. The Imperial Republica, and the Old Empire- The Sith and their lackeys, were a blight on the galaxy, a cancer, one that needed to be cut out for the good of everyone. What Arturo and his vod were doing here was necessary; freeing the prisoners within the compound ahead would help the people of Hapes on their path to ridding themselves of those who kept them down. It was necessary. It was right.

Arturo glanced down at his wrist, checking the time. The truck Drace had mentioned would be along soon, just down the hill from where they lay, a dip in the road making a viable ambush site, one from which they could hijack the vehicle out of sight of the prison. If they were going to do this, it had to be soon. He looked right, seeking out the third member of their party. "So?"

Well, Drace supposed that saying less is an effective way of dealing with a language you were still learning to speak. Arturo suggested they do things the stealthy way, and the Mandalorian nodded. That was for the best.

A speeder hummed in the distance, the noise getting closer. Drace unholstered and set up his rifle so that the barrel was pointing out of the bush, only a few centimeters of it visible. It was nighttime, which was even better for him since he had a thermal scope. The Mandalorian peered through, the world a mess of different shades of blue, an orange object silhouette approaching in his indigo box. Drace waited. And waited some more. And then just a little more.

Pew. The speeder was about 10 meters away when he fired, the bolt melting through the windshield and hitting the man's forehead. The figure slumped forward over the controls, and the vehicle slowed down. "Show time," he murmured. Twigs scraped against his helmet as he rose from the bush, rifle still in hand. He moved toward the speeder, opening its door and tugging the corpse out. "I'll drive. You guys get into the back," he said, motioning for the big box full of sheets that the truck was carrying.

Sure, the guards might catch on when they saw a Mandalorian behind the wheel. But Drace had a plan for that as well.

He nodded, waiting for the speeder to arrive. Percy's words gave him a new energy as he climbed to his knees; she seemed like the type to have everything figured out. Or so I hope, Arturo thought, already running as Drace took his shot. They were fortunate that the truck didn't go careening off the side of the road as his brother clipped the driver. If luck favored them, their fortune would hold. If not... well, there was nothing to be done about it. Lady Luck was a fickle mistress. They just had to pray she hadn't been sleeping around.

Arturo reached the track leading to the prison a few seconds before the others, squinting back the way the truck had come for any signs of life. The last thing they needed was some local out for a late stroll reporting a hijacking, and the accompanying murder. Arturo took a brief glance through the windscreen, approving at the sight of the driver. The poor unfortunate was missing most of the top half of his head, where the bolt had hit him. From the blood and brain matter smearing the cab behind where the deadman sat, Arturo figured the missing portion hadn't gone far. It would be a damn shame if any of it'd gotten on the laundry.

Climbing up into the back, Arturo waited until Percy clambered up after him to close the doors. He settled down into their designated hiding spot, leaving the doors not fully latched so that they could bail quickly if the need arose. The sheets were comfy, at least, and the box hid him and his sister completely. He activated his commlink. "If we don't make it past the gates, don't bother rousing me. It's kind of snug back here."

Wait— get in the back? I’m not some piece of cargo that can be hauled in the trunk of some trashy speeder!“ Her head spun to face down Drace. Arms crossed, chin raised, armored feet rooted into place. “I am a Mandalorian, proud and—

A few moments later…

Persephone was sliding underneath the sheets behind Arturo, grunting and murmuring to herself. Although she agreed to a stealthy infiltration, even if it wasn’t her style, Percy half-hoped she could be the one to drive. She never did like taking a backseat approach. She signed up to House Solus to be a gun-toting, gun-wielding and gun-blazing Mandalorian warrior, and she was seriously itching to use the rifle slung over her shoulder or the blaster stuffed in her pants.

Now settled in the trunk and hidden under the sheets, she eyed the other man close beside her. For two fully armored Mandalorians, her jetpack included, the container wasn’t exactly spacey. That was when a sinister idea popped into her mind, and a wicked smile spread emerged beneath her visor. As the speeder barreled toward main complex, just when the ride was getting smooth, Percy pressed herself against Arturo, armored knockers against his armored face.

Oh, Arturo! What are you doing?” She cried innocently, enough for only Drace to hear. “Oh, my!” Without a clear line of sight, the other man would probably believe they were getting it on back there. When, in fact, Persephone was dicking around with the poor fiancé of Corrine Eldar. After all, she was something of an agent of chaos— and a little fun. Even if Arturo would squirm against it. Or punch her. She had no idea which but she was excited to see.

Drace's eyes set on the prison, he kept his hands on the wheel and remained focused on the road ahead—until he heard commotion in the back. He furrowed his brows. Arturo wouldn't do something like that. He was (almost) a married man, and if he was actually up to something back there he would likely realize that there were consequences for jeopardizing a mission for a pre-battle quickie. Drace realized he was thinking about this for too long. He wasn't jealous. Not at all. Drace? Pff. He never has been and never will be jealous. Maybe.

"Arturo, you dog!" he called out into the comms, masking any other feelings beside a chummy sarcasm. "I'm telling Corrine! You can't have it all! Don't make me slam the brakes and come back there."

The prison was approaching, and his left hand hovered over his Quickshot. He would need to be quick. Percy's instigating, as "fun" as it was, would have to wait until they were on the way back home, when there were no people to kill or prisons to free.

Niish and Lucas had organized their own break in of the prison, and brought along some extra firepower for the occasion. Derailing the prison on Hapes would help them potentially gain more followers, who would defect to Old Empire Space, or rather, more slaves to fuel the machinations of the Empire. Either way, many of them would leave with the Sith in shackles, or in Niish's stomach, and he prayed for the latter. Eyeing the gate like the door of an all-you-can-eat buffet, Niish leapt, using the Force to the unoccupied guard tower, his cold-blooded nature would keep him from being seen by any well-equipped guards. Landing relatively quietly, he ducked below the solid durasteel banister and waited for Lucas and Tres to join him.

Hapes and women; any man who mastered the venusian arts knew that women thought with emotion and not logic. It was easy then, to convince the matriarchal loyalists in providing schematics for the prison as well as avenues for entering and leaving. Their goal was to free several OE operatives who had been captured during the course of this civil war and return them to their home for restoration and reinstating in the dark Lord's army. The pureblood Sith along with the Barabel and the heavy droid had managed to succeed in their own break in of the prison, only a few minutes before the uninvited Mandalorians would be making an entrance. He was dressed in his customized Sith Juggernaut armor, his sith sword strapped across his back while a single lightsaber was on his belt. Side arm pistol was also holstered on his left hip and he carried a Javelin Light Repeater for the occasion along with two fragmentation grenades that were in his right thigh pocket.

As the Barabel used the force to leap onto the tower, Luka had managed to climb into a covered railing and walkway that ran the length of the front perimeter and overlooked the front gates. He obviously had to strangulate one guard and snap the neck of the other, but casualties of war were expected. The repeater held in his hands as he advanced cautiously but turned to the lights and noise of an approaching vehicle. The stone wall he stood behind provided ample cover, granting protection up to his ribcage as he slung the repeater with biped onto the wall edge. The truck was approximately 100 meters away from him at this time, using his right comm link to speak to his comrades. "Unit Tres, can you get a visual on this vehicle? I wasn't informed of deliveries at this time. Republic reinforcements?"

Doing his best not to drift off, Arturo waited in the box, feeling the kick as Drace got this show on the road. He counted the seconds, trying to take his mind off of the warrior sat next to him. He didn't do a very good job, especially when the warrior jumped him a heartbeat later, allowing the tracker to get closely acquainted with his comrade; Perhaps she sensed his discomfort or perhaps she just couldn't help herself. Regardless, Arturo knew he could die a happy man as Percy pressed up against him, a pleasant pressure building in the pit of his stomach. He reeled it in as Drace called back to them from up front, committing the encounter to memory as a grin crossed Arturo's face, the disruption gaining his brothers attention. Is that jealousy I detect?

Taking Percy by the shoulders, Arturo reluctantly pushed her away. He held her at arms length, which, given current confines, proved difficult. He spoke up. "Keep your eyes on the damn road, vod." He said, cutting off a laugh as it reached his gullet, gaze locked on the one trying to make the drive to the prison a living hell, his head rolling to one side as if to say 'really?'. If Corrine finds out about this... Arturo knew it wouldn't be pretty, and he didn't fancy throwing down with a crazy, knife-wielding Mandalorian enraged by a falsely perceived betrayal. Though, maybe Percy did.

"Listen, sister, as much as I appreciate the love you're showing, nothing good'll come of it." He was only half joking. "So, apologies. This is for your own sake as much as it is mine." And with that, he bucked his head forward, delivering a solid -albeit affectionate- headbutt to Percy's Visor. He knew she could take it; it was his way of telling her the joke was a good one, and well received. If she read his gesture wrong, well...he expected one of her own, or maybe a fist to the guts. Either or, really. It wouldn't be long before they reached the compound, and Arturo tensed up, ready to move at a moment's notice. He couldn't help but feel like the time for jokes was quickly coming to an end.

Why had the Acolyte decided to use its commlink? Tres was right beside him up on the walkway, maybe only a meter or so away from him at most. True, the big droid had needed to go about it a different way, actually using the stairs for instance rather than clambering up. It was even hunkered down too to better hide its huge form and stand out less. But, in the past at least, Tres had usually found it rare that an individual somehow didn't notice its presence. Like that party that one time, where it had been chased out with a broom by some now dead human female. And it had only been standing in the corner, unobtrusively trying to do its duty as a simple sentry whilst also testing its aiming systems on the chandelier. Its ascent to the walkway had been loud too, enough to draw another guards attention, whom was currently dying on the stairs.

The Goliath turned to look at Luka for a long moment, calling up its databanks on the being to search for any structural deficiencies. It found none whatsoever, save a very confusing entry about the organic having a chiseled form. Tres ran its mechanical gaze up and down Luka for a moment before turning away, seeing no sign of blood or injury in the Sith's posturing. It would just have to investigate that discrepancy later after the mission was logged as complete. For now it turned its focus towards the oncoming vehicle, its HUD activating as it zoomed in for a better look. It did not recognize the truck, in fact it had no data on the oncoming vehicle whatsoever. It could see something however in the drivers seat, the form steadily growing clearer as it continued to approach.

One hundred percent certainty wasn't possible yet, but the armored form behind he windshield was most likely not civilian. In fact, the distinctive shape it was registering was attributable to only one thing in its databanks. Immediately the droid started running system checks, making sure each of its components was online and functioning. This mission's difficulty rating had potentially just spiked up a level or two. Without taking its gaze off of the oncoming truck, it started relaying information to the other Sith. "This unit has no data regarding the oncoming vehicle or its intention. However, an armored figure is present as the driver, and its armor seems consistent with collected data from the Mandalorian set.....Advise opening fire at earliest opportunity as priority option." Everything seemed to be running at full capacity, as was only proper for a droid of its status. All its additional resources were present and ready as well.

So far the night for Bob the guard had been calm. He'd even snuck an extra meal to one of the prisoners and provided medical aid to another that was abused. Bob was a kind hearted soul, after all. Truly a good man. An angel, even. After his shift, he was going to wrap the gift he bought for his two year old daughters birthday. His other kids would probably get jealous, but it wasn't their birthday. He had triplets and three other kids ranging from three to twelve years old. It was hard raising such a large family on a guards salary, but his lovely stay-at-home wife did a great job despite the disability that prevented her from getting a real one. He liked feeling important anyway, as the only bread winner of the family. Without him, his family would starve to death on the streets, or be prayed upon by thugs. He couldn't even bring himself to imagine the horrors they'd face if he somehow died.

He was walking the tower, about to cross paths with the other guard coming the other way. The other guard also had a large family with young children. In fact, Bob and Tom (the other guards name is Tom) had gone on camping trips together with their families. Their children and wives got along, even though Tom's wife was fighting a mysterious illness and seemly losing.

But then bob spotted someone LEAP on the tower. He wasn't in the tower but it was hard to miss someone jumping from the ground up into the brightly lit tower. "Intruder alert near tower alpha!" he said into his comm, rushing towards the location where he saw the man jump. He pulled a frag grenade from his belt (out of three that he had), pulled the pin and threw it over the railing. It'd explode in the intruders (@Niish Chichel's) face and anyone accompanying him if nothing was done about it.

From the opposite way, Tom the guard saw the same thing. A man leap into a tower. He also rang the alarm, calling into his comm, "Intruder alert near tower alpha!". He didn't rush towards the location like Bob, instead he moved slowly towards it and pulled out his Gladius Blaster Rifle. Aiming the rifle in the general direction of where he thought the man might've landed, though Tom was out in the open and could be shot at, he was a good brave man, ready to do his job and earn those credits for his poor sick wife and children. Besides, it wouldn't be long until the whole prison would be coming down on these intruders.

"Keep your eyes on your damn wife, vod," he replied, his voice sarcastic. Drace's eyes were on the road, more or less, though he did spare a glance at the mirror in front of him to see what they were up to back there. It seemed Arturo was holding Percy at bay, so Drace was more or less content.

He looked back to the prison, his eyes scanning the walkway. Three figures, and not one was similar to the other. A massive, hulking silhouette, standing next to a smaller, more human looking one. At their side stood what looked to be a Goliath, which Drace knew to be one of the most expensive and destructive battle droids on the market. His heartrate jumped, hands tightening around the controls. If anyone attacked, Drace would evade it.

"Kriff." He spoke into the comms, voice no longer bearing humor. "Something's up." Drace slammed on the brakes, cruising the speeder to a stretch of trees to his right, about 40 meters away from the prison. He would swerve again if someone shot at them. "Hop out," he said, slowing it down to a stop. He stepped out along with Percy and Arturo and rigged the speeder to keep driving on its own toward the prison. It would keep going, picking up more and more speed, until it reached its maximum, after which it would promptly slam into the walls of the prison, causing a decently-sized explosion. Drace didn't stick around to watch the vehicle go.

"Let's go, Arturo," he barked, grabbing his rifle and charging forward. He burst out of the foliage. "Percy cover us!" he added, though he doubted the need to. Percy would likely already be doing it. Drace ran as fast as his legs could carry him, eyes on the prison ahead. If any shots came his way, he would be able to dodge them. If uninterrupted, Drace would keep running until he reached the cover of the prison's walls.

What kind of headbutt was that? Pussy.” She reared her armored forehead back after the affection blow, boomed “OYA!” and hit him back. Likely enough to leave a dent, but nothing that could seriously damage his armor or hinder the Mandalorian in any way. They were about to enter the fray, after all. They needed to be in tip top shape if they were going to face down some Imperial scum. And by the sound of the alarms, resounding throughout the prison, it was probably going to be a lot more than expected.

If or once they reached the range of forty meters from the prison without interruption, Percy would hop out of the speeder behind the cover of trees. Given the guards along the wall would have spotted only a single driver, they would believe it was a single assailant. Wrong. Now that they were veiled behind cover, she and Arturo would ready an advance. The approach would be dangerous but they knew what needed to be done.

Sure thing, babe.” She answered to Drace over their comms, brandishing her blaster carbine and eying the guards on the wall one last time. With her jetpack, which replaced the jump boots formerly in her possession, Percy rocketed into the air. At maximum speed, she could easily reach the prison in seconds, but her job was to cover the others, which was exactly what she would do.

The Mandalorian rose high enough into the air to expose the ramparts, making any cover of the wall altogether meaningless. The rise would take hardly two seconds, wherein she would notice Imperials start a fight with Sith on the walls. Strange, but either way, Percy trusted she would continue unhindered. Quick as possible, she would fire two shots at the exposed man’s torso (@Faded Truth) then two at the droid (@Narsi) photoreceptor and chest in a smooth spread.

Should either attempt to dodge the first shot, Percy wouldn’t hesitate to reflect their trajectory with the following shots. She was likewise ready for some evasive maneuvers in case retaliation caught her by surprise. However, she was confident in her shots. Due to the droid’s hulking size and weight, there was no feasible way it could dodge the bolts as they would reach it in a second.

Arturo weathered the blow, smiling as he blinked away the dull pain spreading through his brow. He had tilted his head at the last second, unwilling to take the headbutt directly and risk getting a bloody nose from his own damn visor. He recovered quickly. "Oya, my ass!" He cursed, shaking his head in a show of disappointment. "You call that a headbutt? No wonder you've been shafted into coming on this mission with us." Running a gloved hand over his visor, Arturo checked for dents or cracks, anything that might hurt his combat effectiveness and quite possibly come back to bite him in the ass. He found nothing. He 'tsked' as Drace noticed something was up, all humor having fled the Mandalorian's voice. Sneaking a glance through the windscreen, Arturo just about made out the same figures as his brother, though, he had to squint through the half-light to see them. Yeah, they don't look like the usual lot, he thought, noting a hulking shadow and its smaller counterpart atop the wall directly ahead. Hmm...

Hopping out of the laundry box as the speeder veered off the road, Arturo prepared himself for the coming assault, ready to act if they came under fire from the prison. It wasn't long until they pulled up forty or so meters from the prison. Arturo bailed out after Percy, his jaw set, rifle locked and loaded. The air was mild, and Arturo looked about himself as Drace rigged the speeder to continue on without them. It wasn't long before he was following after his brother, keeping low and fast, two dark figures in a dark landscape. The moons of Hapes shone overhead, preventing true darkness from settling across the planet. Not that it mattered. It would still be a tad difficult for any vigilant eyes to spot them; he hoped the lights atop the wall left any guards -the strangers included- night-blind.

He ran, ready to dodge and duck for cover in case their approach was noticed. He kept a healthy distance from Drace as he ran; five meters of ground separated them- close but not too close. "Here we go, vod." He muttered, picking up the pace as the alarms grew louder and louder with each bound and leap. The walls loomed, growing larger. Here we go.

As the guard shouted, Niish turned to face him, in time to watch his frame chuck a grenade a good 20 meters. The light of Hapes' seven moons, and multitude of Nebulae were enough to give him all the light he needed to see the grenade coming, and quickly, first by reaching out for the grenade, tracking it through the air, with a fairly clear line of sight, to help him track the grenade, catching it in mere moments, at a range of a little over ten meters, before sending it surging back at the family man, with indiscriminate intent to kill, being chucked at his gut like a fast-ball. Given the nature of the timer, on most frag grenades, the timer might have been halfway up by the time it in Niish's telekinetic grasp, as it was aimed directly into his sternum, and thereafter, it would detonate soon after coming back to the guard. Niish knew or cared little to nothing about his family Family just tried to kill you, in his experience. @Dread

"Keep an eye out for more. The ssnackss wish to fight back, hmm hmm," he said, in a dark, but humorous tone, chuckling at his own joke, moments before the silhouette, and exhaust flash of an airborne Mandalorian making her way into the sky, under the stars and moons of Hapes can be seen as easily as someone lighting off a firework in the city. @Deviant

"The starzzz, at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Hap-ezzz," he thought to himself, before coming to the realization that it was, in fact a Mandalorian warrior, in possession of a Jetpack, "Thisss One hates canned food!" he shouted, lifting his Javelin repeater from it's sling, shouldering the previously loaded weapon, and firing in a tight ovular pattern, the highest of the nine shots being aimed above her head four of those bolts made a parenthesis-esque curve, going from her lower left up to her upper right, with intent to hit her center of mass, with one more nearly in line with her head, and then three more in a similar, but opposite arc, before the oval like burst was complete. He tracked the Mandalorian on her way up, to her desired vantage point, but if she stopped moving, or moved in a different direction, he would lead with two of those shots aimed at her center mass. He would also note the truck had gone off the road.

The pureblood sith was not too concerned with the presence of hostile combatants, after all, he had purposely selected this dangerous mission so that he could be here to kill them. He did not register the grenade being thrown, fully confident that his allies would be able to deal with issues that came towards their direction. The ringing of the alarm likely to coincide with the grenade explosion as his Barabel counterpart attempted to fling the explosive back at the family man guard. A simple but yet sinister smile would creep upon Luka's face as he realized he would soon be able to bathe in Republic blood. The shouting of the guard from his end caught his attention as this occurred while the Mandalorian vehicle was still roughly 100 meters away. Slinging the repeater once more in his arms, he sprinted down through the walkway until he of course ran into Tom. The Juggernaut's form was a terrifying sight but as the guard was busy staring at Niish, he would lay his own eyes upon Luka later than the Sith would upon him. A short advantage, but still an advantage nonetheless. He made no attempt at reservation, simply aiming his repeater and unleashed two bursts of two bolts at the man's torso prior to him being able to aim and attack with that Gladius blaster rifle @Dread .

The sith had managed to return to his position on the walkway as the speeder came to a halt roughly 40 meters from their current location. Taking a step back, he shouldered the Repeater for a tighter and more accurate grip. He wouldn't be able to easily distinguish the Mandalorians running on the ground through the thick of trees, however, the one that decided to become airborne, well she had erroneously given away her own position. The tails of flame and smoke that exited through the exhaust of the jetpack lit up Hapes' night sky; her top speed would have allowed her to come quicker had it not been for the simple rule of physics that all velocity required some degree of acceleration. Also considering that she would choose to fire until the walkway wall was no longer an obstacle indicated that she would be required to reach a significantly elevated position in comparison to her targets. All of these choices added time before she could attack and gave a distinct advantage to the Sith.

As Percy ascended out of the treeline with her Jetpack, Luka would fire upon her with deadly precision. Three bursts of two bolts would ring outwards from the repeater barrel, aimed at the center mass and tracked to keep in accordance with her rising altitude such that they made a magnificent vertical spread @Deviant . These shots would occur well before she got to her desired height and thus interrupted any shots she would aim to deliver on either him or his droid counterpart. They were also timed in accordance with Niish’s volley, making it that much harder to feasibly defend. After the shots were fired, he simply dashed towards his left and back into full cover from the Mandalorians as he descended to the staircase and pressed his shoulders against the side stone pillar such that only half of his left flank was now visible. Attention turned towards the various entry points from which other prison guards could be entering. His repeater raised and actively aiming while eyes scanned furiously for other targets to slay. That alarm ringing continuous and growing ever so annoying by the second.

The sudden shout of alarm drew Tres's attention immediately, and the huge droid pivoted towards the sound. It realized the situation quickly enough, tallying up the number of already slain guards and realizing that such numbers couldn't have been all of them. They had also been standing out in the open for an unnecessary amount of time, a tactical error according to its databanks. For now though, their priority was quick response and neutralization of the mission threats and those shouting. As such, the droid decided to follow the Red Sith's lead in this, lurching forward to look towards where Luka was heading. Activating its HUD to follow the Sith's movement closely, it soon found the oncoming guard, this Tom.

The Goliath droid had no way of knowing the guards family or moral standing with the world. Indeed, it didn't even have background data on any of the guards. However, even it did, there still wouldn't have been even a moment of hesitation. For all his kindness and children and camping trips, the force had simply decided that Tom's time was up. Karma was such an illogical concept anyway, one Tres still didn't understand despite numerous soldiers attempting to explain it. The other Sith fired, and Tres then followed up with two shots of its own for good measure. The man would find no recourse if he managed to survive the initial assault, two more bolts coming a moment after, seeking the bury themselves in his chest. That done, Tres returned its focus to the coming vehicle, which had actually closed the distance somewhat in the meantime. It was now entering firing range even.

Tres didn't hold back for a moment, opening fire with its arm cannon even as the vehicle started to slow and stop. It wouldn't even get a chance to reach full stop before a flurry of five shots ripped through its front. The quick succession of bolts would quickly render the vehicle inoperable, each shot piercing further into the depths of the machine until the fifth and final bolt struck something unstable. The vehicle would explode with great fervor, a beautiful fireball of shrapnel and heat in the night. Those inside, particularly those who had exited last or tried to rig something up with it, would likely find themselves caught up in the blast. They would likely be pelted with shrapnel and fire, almost like being caught with a combination fragmentation and plasma grenade. Tres didn't allow itself to be captivated by the light, shifting its gaze about to look for potential targets and threats even as it awaited results.

And thus, Bob and Toms lives came to a swift end. Bob at the hand of his own grenade as it flew into his stomach and exploded unexpectedly. Tom while he was only running towards the scene to check it out like the good guard he was. He didn't even get a chance to report that there were more people outside of the gate. It seemed like a hail of bolts came out of nowhere and struck him down. Why would anyone be so evil to such lovely men? It was a good question, yet neither would ever find out.

But they would be revenged.

Hopefully...

The whole prison was aware of an attack, and ten men were heading towards the causeway—the known intruders location. Another explosion on the door only made things more urgent, and the men were ordered to keep their eyes out for anymore intruders that might be lurking outside. Among the group? Two Sith. While only acolytes, both had some sort of ties to people who worked in this prison and both wanted to see these attackers brought to heels.

Persephone didn’t like to think of herself as canned food. A better analogy would have been quality meat served on a silver platter, but certainly nothing bought and sold at some second-rate supermarket. Not that her thoughts on the matter, well, mattered. Her focus was on her Mandalorian allies and the Sith that now aimed to take her down. In particular, the massive tank droid. Of course, his attacks didn’t matter.

Drace was already prepared to swerve should shots come, and swerve he did. Given the droid didn’t fire until they were slowing down, which they would have done only when they reached the stretch of trees, almost all shots would be for naught. Especially when each bolt would take a whole second to reach them. Especially with the trees to shield them. Especially when the vehicle was capable of tanking multiple hits. Whatever the droid did, it was a waste of time and effort.

The Mandalorians would advance, this time without interruption, and Persephone would still rocket into the air. When she did, and when the Sith attacked, she would be able to effortlessly dodge the bolts. At forty meters, she still had over a second to avoid them. While over a dozen bolts was a lot, her jetpack could cover seven meters a second at half her maximum acceleration. At full? Twofold. Even if they followed her speedy trajectory, she had already been prepared to move, and move she did.

Rather than take a vertical rise, she tilted to the side and simply continued her rise at an angle, tilting whenever needed. Every shot that was coming to her would miss. Of course, while she would be unable to go through her planned attacks, Percy didn’t care. One Sith decided to retreat from the ramparts, allowing her to focus on the weakest link. The fattest target.

Regardless of distance, the droid was almost nine feet tall. Percy didn’t have to focus as much to aim compared to the Sith, especially with two hands on a rifle meant for that distance. While she avoided any shots, and would continue to do so at her speed, the Mandalorian unleashed five shots. All at its photoreceptor and surrounding parts. Again, each shot would take a second, and while it was a lot for quick Persephone, it wasn’t for the droid. If the droid tried to dodge her first shot, she would make sure to follow its trajectory. Then again, that was near impossible.

The tank droid weighed six thousand pounds. It wouldn’t be able to dodge, and even if it tried to hop off the ramparts, it would take far too long. The droid was a sitting duck, abandoned and exposed. With her Mandalorian allies pouring attacks of their own, the hulk of metal was doomed. No matter how thick its armor was. Percy almost pitied the droid, because it never had a chance in a real battle. Speed always beat brawn. And at her speed, as well as her distance, neither the droid nor its allies could catch her.
