Hello... I have a few questions.

Hello, my name is Callus(Caleb in real life), and it is awesome to be here, but I have a few questions.

Firstly, My character is not force sensitive, but I want him to wield a darksaber, in my backstory for the character I'm creating he inherits one from his father(who was a Jedi). Even though he is not force sensitive, he would wield simply out of respect to his father and to honor his memory.
Second, where do I post my first roleplay, is there a common starting place?

1) I think darksabers are not a good idea, Jedi would definitely not wield them as, according to most people, (you know how lightsabers colours show your personality?) the black saber shows your ego and that, in a way, you worship yourself.

I want a darksaber to show, for my character's father, how he embraced his darkness and didn't fight it yet also didn't give in to it. It would also be an analogy to show how my character's disbelief in the force.
Also, can you join multiple factions, say 1 regular faction and 1 independent faction?

1) Surely, no matter what the timeline, the Jedi order would not appreciate someone high enough in their ranks to earn the title "Jedi" to embrace and use the dark side. The path to the dark side isn't as simple as "I wanna join the dark side" and you can't go "Oh, I'm gonna use dark side energy but I'm not gonna turn to the dark side". That's like me putting your favourite food on a plate in front of you and said: "I'm gonna no to leave this room, it will be completely unmonitored. Do not eat this food. There will be no consequences if you do, though, and that includes me being disappointed and you feeling bad." You'd eat it, it's the same with the dark side, once you get a taste you can't stop. There's also a thing called dark side corruption, it not only alters your appearance physically but it also causes you to use the dark side more and make different decisions. Basically how it goes is once you use the dark side you get a little corrupted which will cause you to use it more leaving you even more corrupted. It's like when the sun melts the ice caps which makes water, water is good at absorbing heat so it helps the ice caps melt even more.

2)I'd say you can if they aren't like rivals or at war or something. E.g: Sith and Jedi.

Hi and welcome! Honestly I'm not sure how the whole darksaber thing would work here, I'd ask an admin about that... same goes with with your back story... in any case here would be the place to start rping in general if your not going to start in a main faction like the sith, or jedi or whatnot, here is where you'd go to post in one of those factions, however if you're interested in joining one, you would need to sign up for it. As for your other question I don't think so? I know for the new time line rules, you can only be in one faction at a time but I'm not sure if those rules are taking place now or not... again ask an admin for help :3 anyways welcome and have fun!

I changed it from darksaber to lightsaber, and he's force sensitive now, so I think everything's okay now.

Also, is there any way I can not have this character archived when the timeline changes. I just started this character, and would really like to see where it goes. I haven't met anyone yet while roleplaying, and I haven't stated when it was in my roleplay.

I'm afraid not, pretty much everything that isn't OOC information will be archived when the timeline changes. But there's nothing stopping you from pretty much just reposting the character, updated to fit into the new setting, and playing it in the new TL.

Yeah next tl we're going back to the past like waaaaaaay back :3 so...Nope however, you could keep his core aspects an stuff like his personality and rework his bio to fit the new tl if you're set on keeping him also what @Galavant said.... now that I think about it I just let much said what he did lol... anywho I feel like I'm starting to rant now so ima shut up now ^-^
