[Cardinal Paroaria]

Cardinal paced around his office, he was bored, he had no present deals, no contracts, nothing. His comm rang, someone was up to meet him. "Yes, send him up." Cardinal replied. He was to meet with some bloke named Luno. Nowadays, Cardinal wasn't doing anything but meeting new members who wanted to become part of the Mafia, or contribute and benefit in some way. Some just wanted protection, others wanted to be all in. Cardinal took his seat and waited for Luno, what did he want?

Luno knew the time had come for him to make the leap, since severely weakening his relations with his own people of Mandalore and virtually committing himself to crime. It was time indeed to get serious about advancing in this galaxy both financially and with recognition if he was going to make any sort of last legacy. His chance had come along in the form of an introduction to a burgeoning crime family and a meeting with its head Mr. Paroaria, because at the core of a Mandalorians heart is always the desire to belong to some sort of family.

Luno looked himself over one last time in the turbolift, while his street attire normally consisted of comfortable fitting blacks and greys; his conversational attire wasn’t a big change beyond a more professional set of threads. Some simple black leather dress shoes and well fitting black slacks held up with a cromium buckled belt. His top a simple black button down and an ash grey two button jacket were what he sported, a blaster pistol holstered on the square of his back was always with him but today was for talking.

Exiting the lift upon reaching his destination Luno moved towards Mr. Paroaria’s office and with an escort who opened the door to allow him entrance, Luno was there. ”Mr. Paroaria.” Luno said with an even tone as he approached the seated man, stopping short of the other furniture and gesturing towards a seat ”May I?”

Cardinal heard a knock at the door, and he straightened up, folding his hands on the desk. The doors opened, and a somewhat tall robot entered. Cardinal was confused at first, then horrified as he realized that the thing in front of him was a man. Cardinal quickly hid his surprise, something he was extremely good at, and looked at the man up and down. The man wasn't completely built of cybernetics, but his neck and chin had some sort of cybernetic material. Cardinal greeted Luno, and nodded, "Yes please sit. I welcome you to my base of operation. I hope your trip here wasn't difficult." Cardinal knew it took some time getting used to the big extravagant planet like Coruscant coming from an Outer Rim planet such like Nar Shadda. "If you don't know already, my name is Cardinal Paroaria, underboss of the Black Tails."

[Luno]

Luno took a seat across the desk from Cardinal and listened as he settled in taking note of the anticipated difficulty finding ones way to a specific place on Coruscant. The wasn’t wrong, Shogun was no small planet but it was dwarfed by the sheer imensitiy of a set of levels on Coruscant and this was the first time Luno had made his way into the core much less beyond the mid-rim.

“The flight was uneventful, which I’m not complaining about.” Luno said with a smirk before lifting his left leg and crossing it to sit atop his right, pant leg lifting to reveal a metallic black limb or at least part of one by what was visible. ”As for finding this place-“ Luno said gesturing with a finger in the air making a wide circle ”-More of a challenge than I anticipated I must admit. Your piece of this urban sprawl is to be commended Mr. Paroaria.” Luno said before folding his hands and placing them near his knee leaning forwards. ”I requested a meeting with you after hearing of opprotunities to for men to make something of themselves. I understand the need to prove ones self and I come here before you today to ask for just that. A chance.” Luno finished his statement while reaching in his jacket and slowly pulling a slip out while maintaining eye contact as a universal sign of ‘please don’t blow me away I swear I’m not reaching for a blaster.’

Holding the small slip in his hand as he awaited a response, he felt no need to lay all his cards on the table just yet. This was still at the end of the day a form of negotiations even if not in a traditional sense.

Cardinal watched as Luno took a seat. Cardinal smiled as Luno said everything was fine. "Ah thank you, this establishment was built centuries ago by the first Paroaria, as a way to show off his power and wealth to visitors. Now it simply serves as the headquarters of the Black Tails." The Estate had indeed been preserved for centuries, and only esteemed visitors, or members of the Mafia were even allowed near the place. Security was high, it was an impregnable fortress of sorts. Cardinal nodded to the man, but frowned when he put his hand slowly into his jacket. Surely the man had been searched by security, but Cardinal was taking any chances. Cardinal relaxed when Luno somewhat explained himself. Cardinal waited for the hidden blaster or thermal detonator, but instead a simple slip of paper was retrieved. "Interesting, by the way you made eye contact, and slowly reached your hand in cautiously, tells me your experienced in dealing with sketchy people? Most people would clumsily and hastily reach into their pocket, and get blown to bits. Im curious, what is it you have there that could contain so much importance?" Cardinal liked information, and this man looked like he had what Cardinal needed most.

"I've been in contact with a prominent arms dealer looking to expand his book of business and I believe it would be a mutually beneficial relationship for your organization and his." Luno said leaning forward and placing the slip of paper on the table, sliding it forward with a single finger and smiling. "Feel free to audit the information and make your choice. I simply wish to demonstrate my value." Leaning back in his seat and folding his arms again, giving a look around the room briefly as Mr. Paroaria spoke about Luno's past dealings of this sort and with a light chuckle Luno replied.

"You would be correct in assuming I have a bit of experience in this realm of existence. Not without shortfalls and mistakes as any man makes learning a trade." Mr. Paroaria was indeed an observant and experienced man, to this point worthy of his station running the family business and it made Luno even more interested in becoming involved and building his book of business contacts. He was a new jack on the streets as far as it was concerned when lining up the known names, Luno was not even on the list but he was ready to do something about that.

"An arms dealer? Great time you came, because I have warehouses that can store the weapons, and I have contacts that would buy the weapons. I also have a need myself for weapons, a relationship sounds good." Cardinal took the slip of paper and glanced at it, he would read the fine print later. "Yes, this slip of paper, proves your value. I need people with contacts, I believe you are the key to the Outer Rims and the Mid Rim. I wish to expand my operation, having more contracts would be fruitful for my organization. I'd like to extend a personal invitation to you to join my organization." Cardinal gleamed, the man was clearly smart, and knowledgeable. "Because of your knowledge in the Outer Rims and Mid Rims, I could put you in charge of my operations some place there if you'd like. I have several bases and warehouses that you could oversee." This was a big step, but Luno already proved to be valuable, and not expendable like so many of the soldiers.

"I could manage things in your absence in the Mid and Outer Rim. I'm more of a connection maker than a middle management type... Would you be comfortable with me conducting business on your behalf out of whichever instillation you're assigning me management over?" Luno said still sitting comfortably in his chair, he wasn't lying or trying to pull one over as simple grunt work and middle management was far removed from his interests and skill set. Could he manage people and crack skulls? Without doubt he could do so and still does when he needs to. But his aspirations drive him to be a politician of the underworld and be the sort of person who always has a guy for a task or a need.

"With a weapons storage site and a contact who can supply you, I am sure your contacts looking to buy will be happy. So tell me Mr. Paroaria what business avenue do you want to explore next?" Luno said leaning forward wondering where exactly this man's interests were in the diversity of the underworld. Surely he had aspirations that was no doubt, but Luno wanted to know if they aligned with his own and how they could help one another achieve them.

"I agree, not everyone's a management type. Sometimes having connections can prove to be more valuable. Yes, i'd like for you to conduct business on my behalf out in that area. As of now, I have a large establishment out on Nar Shadda, if you'd like i could send you there, or any other place within that area. Let me know when you want to start, and we'll get you started." Cardinal leaned back in his chair. Not everyone was fit for doing the occasional killing, but it had to be done by someone. "Well, I have a lot of storage space available, and I know people, so i'm mainly focused in weapon manufacturing and distribution, both legal and illegal. War is a good way to profit from. I'd also like to get a license to purchase a weapons depot, and the like. I'm focusing big in the military. In war, everyone needs weapons." Cardinal didn't really deal with spices, but occasionally he would be the link between the seller and buyer.

"Well in that case I do accept, it'll be good to be able to hang my hat somewhere for the time being, and outreach from Nar Shaddaa will most definitely look good. I'll get my things together in the next week or so and make my way there."

Luno said with a smile before standing from his seat and adjusting his jacket "The man i'd like to introduce you to is also on Nar Shaddaa, so when you get the time I'll be there to facilitate the introductions."

Finishing his statement he would clasp his hands together and give a gracious nod of his head, waiting to be dismissed or for more conversation to be had.

Cardinal knew the meeting was over. Everything was set, and all was well. “Sounds good, my men will contact yours and we will begin. Luno stood up, and Cardinal stood up, “Alright, I can’t wait to meet this arms dealer, until then.”
