Hello, SW community. I've been lurking for the past day or two, and think I would like to start posting and trying to get more involved. I was on for a brief period in 2009 (when I made this account) and was more active a long, long time ago.

A few questions:

I have some ideas for characters, a couple of which I have begun to draft into actual sheets, but I see that a time skip is happening in the very near future. Would it be worth it to start RP now, or wait until the time skip? I will unfortunately be away the first week after the time skip, as I will be traveling abroad, and so am not sure as to what would be the most efficient form of action.

What is an advisable number of people for one thread? I see a couple of threads that some of my more complete characters could jump into, but many of them seem *quite* full.

Thanks, and I look forward to RPing with you all.

Welcome back to the community old chap :)

Some would say it would be wise to wait until the time skip to establish new characters because the obvious leap in time might have a negative effect on character. The timeskip will apparently have the biggest impact on the Empire and the Jedi But thats really up to you. I came back after a long while as well due to sickness but I gave up my old characters because they where so behind on the plot

Welcome to TheSWRP, Indigo!

Either way, it's all dependent upon the sort of effort you place in your RP.
While we're on the cusp of a time skip, I'd say go for it. Get your feet wet, and see where the story takes you. If you decide to wait, no harm there....

We're a free form community. How many RPers you'd like in your thread is entirely up to you. You can even RP by yourself. To me it'll be boring, but it can and has been done.

I hope that answers your queries. Do let me know if there's anything else (within reason) that you need.

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks! I think I will post a character later today, then, and see what happens.
