Hello everyone,

Long time Star Wars rper but I haven't done it in a while and would like to get back into it. Now that school is over and I am done teaching for the next month and a bit I thought this would be a good time to get back into it and get into a rhythm. I look forward to getting back into Star Wars rping and what stories may come out of it.

Thanks, just working on my character biography at the moment. Quick question for anyone willing to answer.

If I put a brief encounter with the Sith as a motivation for some of my character's personal beliefs and attitudes in my biography, should I get approval from the Sith faction for that when I post it?

Usually it's expected to have a faction's FL or AFL just note their consent to the info after you post the profile. I don't think I've every seen someone say "no" to a request like that either, so it shouldn't be a problem.

But yes, I would recommend tagging Black Noise or Pheonix after you post the character's finished profile.

How did I miss the part about you being a teacher!

I too am a High School teacher, Engineering. Your job sounds more fun tbh.

Depends on the class really. Engineering would be cool to teach. Is it more applied or theoretical engineering? And while the topic is fun, the English education system isn't the best one to be teaching in tbh.

For high school students, it's mostly theoretical and the "process". A lot of Computer Aided Design and such.

That's cool. I think that would be really interesting to teach; probably because I don't know much about Engineering.

It can be fun. There's a lot of complaining because ... math.... they all hate math. Even if it's simple algebra

Yeah fair point. Most of my students are alright for complaining but there's always a few that don't like how much primary source work we do in our lessons.

Sometimes, depends on what topic we are doing. Some of the ancient writers like to drone on about useless information that would have only made sense if you knew a vast majority of people living near you at the time. It can be tough sometimes for students to find what's important and what's not. Roman writers are usually alright (aside from everyone having the same or similar names; Romans weren't very creative that way) but Greek authors ramble.

Hahaha. I'd argue that rambling is just a writers thing sometimes. I've read "modern day" books and such where authors ramble. xD
