Help finding character idea a faction

I'm only just starting to flesh this sub out but to put it in layman's terms She is Arkanian mad scientist, she's going to be an odd duck, who likes to experiment on other species to "Better" them, and help betterthe Arkanian way of life, she'll be the sweetest little psychopath you ever did see. My biggest problem though is finding where a good fit would be for her and how can I better weave her into the story of a faction, sure it's easy to just say she got in with them but I'm having trouble finding an idea to align her with one.
Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!

@TheRevanchist If she's a Force-sensitive, it sounds like you've got yourself a Sith. Otherwise, she sounds like she'd fit most in the Hutt Cartel.
