So a few things.

I pick the Acer, as Nexus said they make good shit and that is a nice gaming computer. With that, I thought you had always wanted to build your own computer when the time came Keanu, what happened there?

And never buy a Mac for gaming. Macs are cool, they're neat. They do what they do well. Gaming is not one of those things. Its not about hardware but software. Look at it this way, on a PC these are the layers: Hardware: OS: Game. Just one layer between the game and the machine churning out results. On a mac it looks more like this: Hardware: Mac OS: Steam: Game. That extra layer will slow down system performance, perhaps not noticeably to the human eye, but it will.

awh, its cute when Sin try to sound english, wait that is pretty much every person on this site. we all wish we were English

dude what? I am dutch I speak english because you wont understand dutch. *epic facepalm

I am unsure if upgrading my entire system (because it will need a new motherboard, quad core, video card, more ram, more hard drives and some other things) was going to cost more and im also lazy to wait for the computer shop to do it (I myself am not the guy to upgrade his own pc due to lack of technical education/knowledge) I could probably replace ram, hard drives and the video card but a mother board and the quad core? unlikely not to mention you would have to run tests to make sure the computer doesnt overheat and if it has enough power supply. Not something I have knowledge in either.

I sensed the word Mac was used. I was summoned to combat it. Buy the Acer Aspire. Acer is good and that Laptop is the shit. You'll game anywhere! If not the Lappy then build your own damn PC.

im pissed off. I launch the computer right. gets along fine install updates restart all fine. Start installing programs and after a while of downloading and installing it just freezes. So I turn it off and on again and it says cannot find boot device (not sure what that is) but tommorrow im going to bring it to one of their stores. Anyone know what a boot device is? Harddrive? Boot disc/install disc? or the disk drive? (which seems to work fine because it goes open and closed)

Mac is meant for Indie games and the few games meant for Mac. Aside from that, it isn't much of a gamer's PC. And I am not gonna pay tons of money for stuff I can do on my PC, albeit my hate for the Win 7 OS (wishes XP supported more than 3 gigs of ram).

Now take a seat Azium, and stop trying to get Keanu to do something he's already stated he doesn't wish to do.
As to the booting, it means it cannot find a disk and/or harddrive and/or anything that has data to run it. You may need to reinstall your OS, but that's about all I can think of, as I don't make a job out of knowing stuff about PC errors (tries to avoid them).

what ever you do, don't buy a Mac, or a HP, or a Dell, or latvian hookers... amongst laptops IBM/lenovo is the best ones I have experienced.

Boot device is the hard drive yup. And I have no idea what your problem is. Its hard to do hardware diagnosis over the interwebs. Much easier in person lol.

PS Xp 32 bit supports 4 gigs ram... if you want more get 64bit which supports more then you will probably ever need.
