Hello! I am sure there are some enthusiasts amongst you, with a lot more handle on this than me.
Long story short is that I am looking to buy myself a new system, and deemed around 1.5k USD to be around what I was willing to spend on it.
For exactly 1471 dollars I can get the following notables in a complete, custom made system:
i7 6700k 4.0-4.2 ghz - CPU
16gb 2133mhz corsair ddr4 - RAM
B150m-a m.2 - Motherboard
Gtx 1070 oc - GPU
240gb ssd kingston 550 mbs/s - HDD
Asatek liquid cooling system.
550w 80+ certified xfx pro series - Power supply
Win 10 (not really sure how to circumvent this cost, as I want to run Windows - any ideas?)
A pretty dope, nice airflow cabinet.
How does that look, value-for-money?
For the record I already have 2TBs of HDD space on externals.
The only questionmark is the worth of upgrading the 1070 oc to a regular 1080, since I don't plan on doing above 1440 resolution. Then I am thinking maybe the RAM could be upgraded in size (to 32gb obv) but also to 3200 mhz.
Any feedback appreciated, before I make this squander :-)
