Help on choosing what to make

So lately I've been entertaining the thought of two different character concepts. Unfortunately, I only want to make one of them a reality since I feel as if three characters is the max amount of active characters a person can have and be content but not overwhelmed. So far I've come up with these:

1) A young force sensitive child who has the potential to literally become anything (Jedi, Sith, Chiss agent, etc.) through extensive RP, training, and outside persuation. In short this gives the character the ability to be molded solely by other roleplayers and to grow as the community nurtures them. I've seen this idea passed around here a few times on the boards and I always enjoyed the idea due to the liberties it gives you with forming your character.

2) A trade prince who's young, cocky, bold, arrogant, and wealthy beyond all imagination. He is shrewd of mind but short sighted and prone to rash decisions. He would have a minor fleet as his disposal (if allowed) to enable him to become an ally of whatever force he so chose if the monetary gain was right and his wants were met. His progression would hopefully make him grow from an intelligent but immature child to a tactician of unimaginable proportions and perhaps in time apply for some form of government position (senator or some thing) within whatever sect he decided to enlist permanent (monetarily and with minor fleet support) aid to (if ever).

Sorry if this isn't overly detailed or is worded oddly but I'm reasonably tired and wanted to post this before it slipped my mind. Obviously whichever character is chosen for development will be exponentially expanded.

Although I'd love to make both I feel that two more characters would be too overwhelming. When one of my current characters die I will but until then I've decided on only making one or the other. Which to make first is the hard decision though.
