Helping Hands

It had been only a few hours since the tidal wave tore into the city. While the buildings to the west side of the city center survived with only minor damage, though the lowest levels of the buildings were flooded. The city center looked like a hurricane tore through it. The areas that are the closest to the ocean were completely wiped out with very few buildings left standing. When disaster struck Tycho was in the middle of a meeting with the leaders discussing terms for them to be brought into the folds of the Alliance when the group heard the wave coming. The Gotals were confident that the room they were in at the time was safe but as a precaution they were going to lead the way to a flight of stairs when the wave smashed through the windows of the meeting room they were in.

The injuries among those in the meeting room varied. The General thought that at first he escaped with only a few cuts and bruises besides being soaked to the bone. What he didn't realize, until a medic addressed it, that he had a good size gash on the right side of his face. No matter the Kolto will do its job, though the cut will scar a bit. After the Kolto was applied the wound was covered with a strip of gauze.

As soon as the wave pulled out, Tycho rushed to his shuttle that was on the landing platform at the very top of the building. Due to the location of the shuttle the vehicle survived the tidal wave. He sent a very urgent message to both Rebels and Jedi alike then sent his fleet to bring who ever will reply to his urgent message along with supplies that will be needed for the recovery efforts that will follow.

As he waited for Rebels or Jedi to come to the small moon. Tycho helped to access the damages as he started looking for survivors. Navigating the debris clogged streets slowed those who were scouring for survivors. But to the General's amazement the civilians that survived kept pressing on despite the obstacles they had to face.

After who knows of how long searching through buildings and vehicles Tycho took a seat on a fallen log to get a bit of rest before continuing to help search for survivors. The man could not help wondering if anyone got his message and will respond. Of course the message was encrypted so only those in the GA got the message.

He will get his answer in regards to if anyone got his message when the General noticed two familiar people, "Good to see that you two have come. I was beginning to wonder if my message got out despite the power going out." He will say to his comrades. There was a relieved smile on his face as he looked at Arda and Brent.

Tycho's message was broken, but it was clear they were needed on the Gotal home world. She had called for the GA to act immediately, gathering what numbers and supplies they could in order to help the gotals who were recovering from the disaster. With Arda, she had allowed Brent to join her knowing his cheek antics would quickly fall on shortened nerves, but he seemed more focused; though it wasn't reassuring as she wondered how long he could keep it up before falling into his known habits. Antar though was a quick jump and it wouldn't have taken them long to arrive to the devastated city where Tycho waited for their arrival.

He looked worn, but relieved with their arrival and Arda gave him a reassuring smile, "I'm glad we received it, General. We have supplies on shuttles, they should be arriving shortly." she said as she glanced around, it looked bad from the dock, she couldn't imagine what it was like in the areas that she could not see. "Fill me in, Tycho." she said glancing at Brent and then back to her General, "How are things progressing in recovery? Water, electric, medical, where do they stand on all these things." she asked with an eager to know where to start in order to get some sort of order back to the Gotals.

A part of her though wanted to avoid knowing the death count, in the upcoming days and even weeks, with the damage that had been done, the numbers would climb. The gotals would also be exposed to the opportunists of the galaxy too, they would need to set up a system to keep a look out for groups looking to take advantage of the goat-like citizens.

Looking up at Arda the General stood up the second that he was requested to pass on the information he has so far. Which may disappoint the Jedi Master as he does not have much. Due to the extent of the damage done progress as far as repairs, treating the injured along with the number injured or killed is constantly changing.

" They have electricity up and funning in two of the districts so far. That leaves only two hospitals to treat the injured. Because of the damages in the other districts getting the electricity up is proving difficult. They are pulling in resources from parts that were spared as well as those that were stocked up in preparation of something like this." The man paused as he tried to remember other bits of information he had, "As far as the injured and dead those numbers have been constantly changing. But one thing for sure the medical staff are struggling."

Tycho looked around, "Besides those. The biggest concern is the possibilty of kidnappings for the slave trade." He will finish off his brief report with that as it is all the information he has right now.
