DESCRIPTION​

The 'Herald-class Shuttle' is a ship design that was said to be used by the Sith thousands of years ago, similar to the Sith Fighter. It is suggested that the two share the same mysterious original designer, which remains unknown. The schematics for the Herald have been recovered and are now slowly being produced again, this time up tostandards of present-day ships.

The Herald-class Shuttle is an interesting design. It is a mutli-purpose transport. It can be used as a personnel transport, being able to ferry up to ten passengers, or it could be used in a freighter role, and having an ample amount of cargo capacity for transporting goods across space, although not enough as a dedicated freighter. In addition to the cargo hold, the Herald has a small hangar bay by the exit ramp. The hangar bay can carry a small landspeeder or couple speeder bikes.

Very prominent on this vessel are it's heavy laser cannons. Although the ship isn't very agile and the heavy laser cannons may not be the greatest at taking out agile targets, they do pack a powerful punch. For secondary weapons, they do have a pair of light laser cannons.

These ships are not common out in the galaxy, as they are used by the shadowy Sith. The Herald-class are mostly used as personal vessels for Sith Champions or Sith of higher rank, or may be requisitioned for use in select missions or other ventures.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. In addition to restrictions in regards to heavily armed transports and freighters, these ships are also proprietary property of the Sith Order, and used by others outside the order is disallowed.

INTENT​

To import this ship from Legends into our site canon, but also to give the Sith a vessel that they can call their own. In Legends this ship had past association with the Sith and thought it would fit. With the Sith gaining territory, influence, and funding, they should have no problem producing these ships on their own.
