DESCRIPTION
Not much is known about the background of the 'Sith Fighter', or 'Sith Interceptor' other than the design dates back thousands of years ago, used by one of the Sith Empires. Even to this day the name of the initial designer and manufacturer remains a mystery.What is known about the craft is that the Sith Fighter is analogous to the TIE Fighter; in that the Sith Fighter is lacking in defenses and firepower, built in mind for a war doctrine of quantity over quality. The Sith Fighter has minimal lifesupport built in, has no hyperdrive, and no shielding.
The Sith Fighter is not without it's strengths, as it is decently fast and maneuverable. It is also cheap to build and manufacture as well.
Despite the craft's name, these fighters are not in the possession of the modern day Sith Order. These ships are very uncommon in the galaxy. One can however find one in the possession of a odd collector. If these ships were spotted in the modern day, it's unlikely anyone would be able to recognize the ship or it's past affiliation in the ancient past. Pirates may have gotten their hands on some of these vessels on the fringes of the Outer Rim, either recovering intact versions of various degrees of quality or either dissecting and incorporating parts of these ships into Uglies.
However, it is said there is a Sith Holocron lost somewhere on one of the traditional Sith Worlds that contains this ship's design and schematics inside.
