Brodan sat at his table keeping an eye and ear out for opportunity. He listened in on conversations as everyone went on about their business, complaining about life, work, politics, and everything else in the galaxy. He couldn’t believe he wanted work from these people, but one had to do what one had to do to get by in the galaxy. Brodan continued to scan the crowd to see who could be his next possible employer.

Dr. Valentine Lockhart sat down at the table. He ordered a drink, then faced Brodan Mesan.
"I hear you're good at finding things and people," said Doc Love. "I have a mission for you that would involve Tatooine. Nothing too big. And I can pay."

The Tatooine Sun drink burned Rynn's throat as he shot it down like it was a small glass of water. He liked the burning sensation in his chest he recieved from the drink, for some reason it seemed to put him at ease. He ordered another one at the bar a few seats down from a Zabrak and a human.

Rynn was close enough to over hear them talking to eachother, and it seemed the human was looking to hire his new Zabrak friend for some kind of job. Rynn smirked as he gulped down another Tatooine Sun, shaking his head. Normally he would jump in and offer his survices, but he wasn't there for a job. He had only a limited amount of free time and was planning to spend it by drinking down as much alcohol as possible. He ordered a third drink, asking the bartender to surprise him this time as he listened in to the rest of the Zabrak and the human's conversation.

"Tatooine!" Brodan thought to himself. This would be a good chance to get confirmation on rumors he has been hearing about the death of the Hutt he was after.
Brodan looked up at the Doctor and replied, " Your told correctly. Yeah, I can do the job, long as you pay enough..." in a rather dry manner, "...and fill me in on the rest of the details" finishing the rest of his sentence in a more welcoming manner, leaning inwards to listen to what the doctor had to say.

"You see, I was buying a pair of rare crystal swords called the Jewels of Shalharra, that according to legend, were owned by a Vicar hundreds of years ago. The swords are a work of beauty. They're completely made out of a single crystal each, containing no metal at all, due to their obsession with metal. The Hutt on Tatooine bought them off some smuggler last year. When I found out that he had the Jewels of Shalharra, I went to him to buy them via Holonet. However, the Hutt recently went missing. Apparently the Hutt's former employees raided the compound and stole a few of the treasures inside, the Jewels of Shalharra among them. According to a survivor, the group with the crystal swords were ambushed by Tusken Raiders. Unfortunately, the survivor of this attack died of internal injuries before he could give up the location of the tribe. Since I'd guess that the man would have gone to the nearest town, I'd say it's safe to say it's in the radius of Anchorhead, probably southeast of there."

Absorbing the information bestowed upon him. Brodan nodded his head and instantly started to compose a plan to help his new employer obtain what he desired.
“Doesn’t sound to complicated. Only tricky part is tracking down and dealing with those pesky Tusken Raiders, but I’m pretty sure I can get the job done.” Brodan said with confidence and a smile looking into the doctor’s eyes.
“Any special rules or request you want to assign me before I venture forth?” Brodan remembered to ask.

"Be careful who you tell about the Jewels of Shalharra," said Valentine. "Those swords are a tool in making peace with the Alsakan rebels. I would appreciate those crystal swords falling into the wrong hand. Also, let me know if you need any help. I have a way with hacking. Don't worry, it'll be free of charge as long as I receive those swords."

“Got it.” Brodan nodded his head in agreement and stood up. “I’ll get started on it, I’ll fly to Tatooine and search through the Tusken Raider tribes to see if they managed to obtain the objects you seek and I will report back to you via holopad.”
Brodan turned around and started to make his way towards the exit, sharpening his wits due to the feeling someone knew about the task he was assigned.

A lone renegade sat at the bar and drank his usual drink while watching something on TV. It was a coverage of the Hutt wars that he enjoyed so much. Eventually one of the other people there, drunk out of their mind, told the bar tender to turn it off. The renegade gave him an angry look.

"I was watching that, trash," proudly announced the renegade mercenary.

The man replied with a slurred, "Well you arn't now areya, bitch?"

The renegade nodded his head in an exaggerated tone to look like he understood. Then he grabbed the drunk's bottle and slammed it onto the drunkards head. "Can you turn it back on now," questioned the short renegade to the barkeep.

Paying attention to some talking going on at another side, the renegade decided to stop watching TV, and follow it. What he came upon was a Zabrak and some pale human discussing a deal. The renegade didn't exactly hear it, but he did hear something about pay and gains. So the short Epicanthix renegade went over to the group.

"What's this I hear about deals and credits," questioned the man to the pair.

Doc Love grinned. "A hunt for a rare set of crystal swords," informed Doc Love. "The first to return them to me will be paid hansomily." Before Brodan could comment, "Don't be offended. You're not the first I've asked, though I will admit you're the first who sounds like they can succeed. Also, if it ends up being a team effort, the reward won't be split. It will be given to everyone. Winners will get what they deserve."

Brodan looked up at the renegade, pausing for a moment.
"Whatcha say? Wanna team up? Perhaps we can both benefit from this opportunity." Brodan said extending his hand out for a handshake of confirmation.

The renegade, Fodera Grenelief, had a very dull expression his face. Eventually, he just flat out said it, "No," and then held up his hand to Brodan's face, "How about I get it, and you go do something else?" Obviously Fodera was not into the idea of a "team up" when he already couldn't stand the team he was on. Fodera may have looked unarmed without even a blaster on him, and that his hand may just be a regular hand, but looks can be deceiving.

Brodan laughed, "I see, your one of those types. I didn't need your or want your help anyways."
Brodan turned to the doctor, " Your swords are as good as found." he said with a nod of confidence. Not worrying about the competition, Brodan made his exit.

Angrily, the renegade made an energy blast at Brodan. He was not about to get away so easily, and certainly not going to escape with his life after just flat out insulting Fodera. Fodera Grenelief followed Brodan so that he could continue to shoot down the Zabrak.

(OOC: Just to clarify, Brodan is force sensitive, which is why I believe I can pull off the following maneuver.)
Brodan turned to get one last glimpse of his adversary, he saw the renegade shadowing his trail and assumed it as an immediate threat. Brodan quickly got upon one knee and fired the stun net from his wrist cuff in order to immobilize the renegade.

Fodera Grenelief ran at Brodan and saw the net as it was coming down. Fodera fired an energy blast from his hands at it to keep it from descending down upon him. He then continued the chase after Brodan, while firing another energy blast at him.

Brodan grabbed a humanoid that was standing right next to him and used the alien as a shield to block the energy blasts that were fired at him. Brodan then started to return fire as he continued hold his shield and try to make his way towards the exit.

Fodera saw that Brodan was grabbing a shield. He decided that it would do Brodan no good, because Fodera's next attack would rip through the human shield and Brodan. The renegade charged up an energy blast in to his right hand, and then shot out a continuous beam of energy at Brodan. The beam was a stream of purple energy that would simply go right through the shield.

The purple blast blew Brodan’s carcass shield to pieces, knocking him onto the ground and luckily he survived.
“ You wanna play rough, huh?” Brodan joked as he quickly recovered from the blast and raised his right wrist and pushed a button that ignited his built in flamethrower. Fire stretched across the room, scorching everything and everyone it touched as Brodan aimed trying to sizzle the renegade to a crisp.
