Hess'ora'nuruodo
(Soran)

"Dane Scala"

Chiss-1.jpg

COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Just like every other member of the Chiss species, Soran had blue skin and deep red eyes. Soran looks like a young adult, and is twenty years old. While any human could easily pick him out of a crowd, his own species could do that as well. His skin was naturally a lighter shade of blue than the average Chiss, and his eyes were not as bright. According to the physicians of his home world, he had a rare genetic make-up. It was in ways similar to being an albino in other species, however not even as simple. Soran's jet black hair was nearly completely unaffected as his skin and eyes. Although it was never a mystery to what the cause was, it was a rarely recorded trait.

PERSONALITY:
Unlike the stereotype the rest of the galaxy believed, Soran was far from being arrogant. From studies, training, and discipline, he learned to be cautious about most things. He didn't treat everything passively. Whenever faced with something new, he felt compelled to study it to its fullest. The unknown bothered him, and he refused to run into any situation without prior knowledge. While he face plenty of punishment for this stubbornness and inevitable insubordination, this trait attracted the attention of certain military officials.

SKILLS:
Soran has a mathematical mind. He works raw information well. When given a set of numbers, he can do advanced math quickly in his head. When given a simple code, he can solve it without using any notes. Although his strengths are working with numbers, he has skills in the humanities. He personally enjoys researching new things, and he is capable of absorbing information rapidly. In addition to this, he can associate words and numbers easily, in both Basic and Cheunh. When given enough time to study or the correct instruments, he can take the most complex codes and decipher them. While his skills are primarily code related in these regards, his superiors trained him in these skills because his mind was naturally inclined to such abilities.

Before he joined the CEDF, Soran studied the other cultures in the galaxy. He was highly interested in knowing what existed outside of his homeland. Using the name of the Nuruodo family to silence any questions about this interest, Soran studied several languages, including Basic, Bocce, and Huttese. He was one of few of his peers who could name several important planets outside of the Core Worlds.

A certain officer of the CEDF enlisted Soran when he reached adulthood at the age of fifteen. Aside from combat training, he learned his coding and decrypting skills from the military. Although he was far from being a terrible combatant, his superiors recognized him for being more of an intellectual than a warrior. Taking advantage of his interests in other cultures, he was trained in espionage and disguises. Soran found for the first time a use for his lighter skin and dimmer eyes. With the right technology, he could quickly modify the color of his skin and eyes to blend in easily with human populations. Due to his genetic disposition, he could assume a believable disguise much faster than any of his peers.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Csilla, Soran was immediately investigated for his genetic differences. Because his lighter skin was apparent at birth, the doctors ran several tests to make sure it was not malignant. Once it was proven to be benign, he was brought into a rather normal Chiss household. Although he looked different, his family and teachers ignored the albino-like characteristics. After all, it wasn't who did the job in their society; the job itself was the importance. There was no time to show prejudice towards someone with a rare genetic trait.

Soran passed his primary education with little difficulty. He wasn't the best of his class, but he was among the top. Because of this, he did not get immediate attention from the government or military, which were looking for new and bright students to join their ranks. As the best youths passed on into better training, Soran was left to attend standard classes. This didn't bother him at all, even though he knew he had the intelligence to keep up with the others. He took the opportunity to study material of his own choice. In this case, he studied other cultures and languages. It wasn't long before his hobby was discovered. Before he finished his secondary education, he was contacted by the CEDF with the offer of specialized training.

Training involved expanding Soran's knowledge of other cultures and languages. He was trained in preparing disguises using both traditional methods and technology. As part of this training, he was sent to immerse among humans on Coruscant. Under the guise of Dane Scala, Soran studied at the University of Coruscant for a year before returning to his home world. By the time he returned, he was fluent in the customs of the civilians of the Alliance capital.

After returning to Csilla, his superiors believed that he was ready for field work.

[Will be improving the bio with time. I know it's in poor condition.]
