Name: Heth
Race: Togorian
Faction: Taung

History: Born as the youngest son so a tribal chieftain on the planet Togoria, Heth lived a normal life for his kind; from a young age he was taught the ways of his people, which focused heavily on hunting and tracking and survival skills. He became highly skilled with a blade, ranging from knives to short swords to the common hunting spear. He was even trained in the use of the few slugthrowing rifles his tribe had access to, given that he was a chief's son.

When he was sixteen, a dispute between himself and his eldest brother - next in line to assume control of the tribe - escalated and Heth was momentarily overtaken by a 'bloodlust.' When he regained his senses, his brother lay dead at his feet, having had his throat ripped out by Heth's own hands. With the other members of his tribe in hot pursuit, Heth was eventually able to flee to one of the few cities on Togoria, where he was then able to stow away and leave his home forever.

He traveled aimlessly for weeks before finding himself on Concord Dawn, where he became aware of the Taung. He idolized the fierce alien warriors, and desperately wished to join their band; he was in awe of their martial prowess as well as their tight-knit community, a feeling he himself missed dearly from his home tribe.

The xenophobic warriors would not accept him as one of their, own, however, to he was left with the only option being to indenture himself as a servant. In this capacity he worked alongside the Taung for 8 long years, watching and learning everything he could from the super soldiers. The more he learned, the greater his desire to be one of them became, and the more difficult it was for him to stand being a lowly servant.

Finally things changed when, as he was preparing a troop transport for launch, he was insulted by a recently appointed Taung Verde, who called him a worthless slave (among other things). The 'red mist' descended upon Heth again, and he effortlessly bested the young warrior in combat, coming to his senses standing over the alien with his Beskad in hand on the verge of making the killing blow. He stopped himself, terrified of repeating the mistakes he had made previously on Togoria and not wanting to have to run away from home yet again. Luckily for Heth, the newly appointed Mandalore, a human, witnessed the 'honor duel,' and rather than punish the hulking feline for striking a warrior instead offered him the opportunity to prove himself as one of them.

Heth had finally been given a shot at his dream, and he would do everything in his power to show the Taung that he was just as skilled a warrior as they could ever be.

Personality: At first glance, Heth seems to perfectly fit the "strong silent type" description to a T. He lacks any sort of formal education, living first as a nomadic hunter and then as a warrior-servant for all of his life. This makes his conversation skills lacking to most, but those he trusts and counts as 'family' see a much more open side. He is fiercely loyal, and has completely adopted the Taung culture as his own, to the point where he very rarely even identifies himself as a Togorian. He is currently clan-less, having to work harder and fight better than those around him to be viewed as equal, but he doesn't mind, and over time he has discovered that not only is he a damn good killer, but he actually quite enjoys it as well.

[[MAJOR work in progress, but hopefully the bare bones are here to get my foot in the door.]]
