Description
The Merr-Sonn R-8R "Raider" Battle Rifle is a venerable weapon design that has seen use on the Outer Rim for the last twenty years, and is a best-selling rifle for the Merr-Sonn Munitions company. It was developed due to a wish for reliable weaponry in the Outer Rim, made to power through all but the very worst environments that could ever be found, due to the high variability of climates and terrains on worlds in the galaxy. With that in mind, the weapon was built to be as heavy-duty, hard-wearing, and reliable as possible. It can still fire when seemingly choked up with mud and dust, due to the simple manufacture and high stress-tolerance of all the parts of the weapon.

However, this reliability comes at a cost, mainly in terms of accuracy. While there are some weapons out there renowned for their accuracy, the R-8R isn't. In close quarters it is an absolute beast of a weapon; it hits hard, and while it has strong recoil, that isn't much of an issue, nor is the long-range accuracy. However, getting out to 300 meters, the accuracy is primarily considered to just be "good enough" to hit a man-sized target in the torso consistently. This is no marksman's weapon, as the lack of accuracy and short maximum range will show.

Despite the lack of range and accuracy, the reliability and strength of the weapon - as well as its sheer power - has made it a favourite among various militias and other forces in the Outer Rim, because it is one of the few weapons that is basically guaranteed to work no matter what happens, be that getting clogged with mud and dust, getting wet, or suffering percussive force due to being used as a club on an unruly enemy. It comes standard with a thumbhole stock, detachable scope, and 533mm barrel. However, stocks separate from the grip, collapsible stocks, and shorter barrels are all available with the weapon, and can be switched out from the base model with some work - it isn't made to be an interchangeable weapons platform.

Sihkar Tarei

[/beebox3]

A Jedi from the Core worlds, Sihkar Tarei is a very compassionate young man, with an almost irrepressible urge to help everybody he is able and see the good in everybody he meets. However, he is still cognizant of what goes on around him, and recognizes the dangers posed by those who follow the Dark Side, and will heed the call to battle if he has to in order to protect innocents; still, he would generally rather find a way to bring any Sith into the fold of the Light and the Jedi, rather than fighting and killing them - no matter how much he might appreciate a good test of skill and strength.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinForce Sensitive
HumanMale20 years5'9''140 PoundsDark brown, wavy, long lengthHazelCaucasian, lightly tannedYes

A young man with a young face, Sihkar Tarei can still present a respectable appearance of maturity when needed, though his face is often blank as he walks around, appearing lost in thought. His hazel eyes - primarily green with a little bit of brown in them - are quite piercing when he's paying attention to something, however, and rarely miss any actions that occur around him. His dark brown hair is thick (but each individual hair is rather fine in terms of size, making his hair seem thinner overall than it actually is), wavy (although it forms into large curls near the ends), and he wears it rather long, most of the time pulling it into a ponytail in the back - although that doesn't quite take care of his bangs, and he's almost constantly jerking his head one way or another to get the hair out of his eyes. It's hard to tell whether or not he tries to stay clean-shaven or whether he tries to grow facial hair, given his amazing propensity to forget to shave his face; quite a few of his fellow Jedi joke amongst themselves that eventually he'll forget to shave long enough that he'll grow a beard, look in the mirror, and then decide it'd be too much work to shave it all off after that point. His nose is slightly larger than the norm (though not comedically so, thankfully) and his eyes are a little deeper-set than the norm, beneath a heavy brow.

He's shorter than most male humans in the galaxy are, although not particularly so - he wouldn't stand out as being particularly short if he went anywhere. He is, however, quite scrawny - which surprises most people when they hear his deep voice and see how physically capable he is, able to carry upwards of 200 pounds relatively easily, as he is leanly muscled, rather than looking like some sort of bodybuilder. His Jedi robes generally cover up his small size, however, so people often don't notice that.

He isn't without his fair share of scars across his body, due mostly to the somewhat rough training he had, as his first master that he ever had was an old fashioned, grumpy old man with far more than the average number of duels and fights under his belt, who had been trained in such a way by his master that he described it as having been "thrown through a meat grinder," and he trained Sihkar the same way - including using live weapons with the then-13 year old after he had mastered the very basics, in order to instill an appreciation for using proper defensive techniques and a healthy respect for the dangers involved in being a Jedi Knight into Sihkar.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Sihkar is of relatively average strength for most working adult male humans in the galaxy, although he is stronger than he himself looks. He can pick up and carry upwards of two hundred pounds with relative ease, although too much more than two hundred and his straining will be more evident and he'll be a bit more grumpy about it. He is also a fairly dextrous person, good with his hands and somewhat agile when he needs to be, although he isn't too particularly fast - he focuses more on grace and precision of movement than on ability to quick, focusing more on the physical control-side of dexterity. Lastly, due to the training he received from his first Jedi Master, Sihkar has a healthy constitution, and a higher-than-average level of endurance. He certainly doesn't like to get hit and suffer pain, though - but at least he can push through it if he has to.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Sihkar is a rather intelligent Jedi, as he loves having the opportunity to learn - when he wasn't being worked into a ready and able warrior by his past master, he would study historical texts and the like in order to learn more about why the Jedi fought the Sith as they did, and what all started the events that led to the modern day, and also supplementing his learning from his master by reading about the Force and its uses. He isn't, however, particularly wise; he has his common sense and a healthy sense of caution, and those are it - and even then, his urge to help other people can override those, sometimes. As well, he isn't naturally charismatic, his natural introversion playing into that. He is, however, rather friendly, and can help motivate others if needed, and if it's really required he can act as a leader, though he'd really prefer not to.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

Sihkar Tarei is a very compassionate young man, having completely bought into the ideal that Jedi are peacekeepers, guardians of the innocent, and followers of the light. He is one of the Jedi who feels that no act of kindness or mercy is to be ignored unless it would be far too dangerous to follow through with it, either in the present moment or in the near future. He jumps at nearly any opportunity he gets to help that he can see, almost perfectly ensuring that he remains a relatively poor, wandering Knight-Errant of a Jedi, going wherever the Force might lead him.

He is also rather laid back and friendly, if quiet. Naturally an introvert, he doesn't normally go out of his way to socialize and interact with people, instead letting them come to him or just getting to know others who he shares mutual friends with. He often wanders around alone, though he has entertained the idea of taking on a Padawan of his own, as he does enjoy teaching about as much as he enjoys just generally giving his aid wherever he is. Although he maintains a somewhat-structured outward appearance and tries to keep his things in some small semblance of organization (a semi-disorganized sort of organization), though inwardly his thoughts and emotions can fly all over the place at a moment's notice, and his inability to stop thinking has caused him some trouble when attempting to go to sleep.

However, he isn't without his flaws. His natural inclination to help others whenever they appear to need it has gotten him into some hairy situations before, as he isn't always the smoothest talker - he has yet to get into any terrible situations, but it's just waiting to happen. Related to that, he can be somewhat brash in general, his own natural caution being overridden in various circumstances beyond just helping others. He experiences a righteous indignation when he sees people being treated poorly or oppressed, and if prodded enough his mood can go from this indignation or some general annoyance into a truly prodigious level of anger, something he often struggles to control within himself. He is also very bad about seemingly putting his friends and allies up on a pedestal, forming an idealized version of them in his head, and often doesn't react particularly well to being let down by those people he previously idealized.

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

Sihkar is fairly well versed in the Force, understanding the philosophy of the Jedi fairly well, and he is also well able to use various powers in it. However, due to his previous master's focus on using the lightsaber and other weapons more than learning any special powers with the Force, he isn't as well versed as some other Jedi. Still, general telekinetic powers are a favourite of his, with Force Push, Pull, and Whirlwind being fairly often used when he gets into battle - as well, his focus is powerful enough to allow him to use any loose items in the environment as improvised ranged weapons when engaged in a duel with another being, able to strike them by surprise.

As well, due to how often he and his master encountered droids when Sihkar was younger, he has learned how to stun and harm them from a distance, sending a stream of charged particles flying from his fingertips into any droid he has to battle, hopefully overloading their processing units and causing damage within them. However, he is only able to direct this attack at one droid at a time, and any droids that are well-protected from electrical or ionized attacks can resist the initial shocks fairly well.

Lastly, he picked up well on the favourite techniques of his old master, and is able to affect his own body with the Force; strengthening his attacks or increasing his speed with some measure of focus, as well as being able to leap over long distances or up to a great height if needed, all of which can aid him in any physical combat. As well, when meditating, he can fall into a short healing trance, increasing his ability to recover from various wounds - however, anything more than a moderate injury will still require medical attention to truly be healed.

[beebox3=75%]
The Lightsaber
[/beebox3]

As his former master focused very heavily on the martial aspect of being a Jedi Knight, Sihkar has been trained heavily in the art of using the lightsaber - although somewhat differently than his master. His master was a large, physically imposing man, and utilized Forms V and I to a great degree, his natural strength being brought to bear against any opponent he fought, said opponents being all-but helpless against the enslaught. Due to Sihkar's size, however, he was taught differently; his master taught him to use Shii-cho (Form I) still, as that was a very useful style, teaching all the basics of combat with a sword or lightsaber, and giving good training in blast deflection. However, he taught Sihkar to use Form II, Makashi, as his primary style, and Sihkar uses his natural grace and precision of movement to great effect with the style - although when faced with a large number of enemies and blaster fire, he will default back to the defensive techniques of Form I.

Due to that training he has received, Sihkar has become a natural duellist, and quite enjoys lightsaber duels when he gets into them - be they friendly or not. For a relatively calm and peaceful man, seeing the way he delights in lightsaber combat and testing his skills against his enemies in that way has been a rather surprising sight to various people who know him.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Sihkar's master was a pragmatist in combat, and taught the young Jedi to use many other styles of combat as well; due to this, Sihkar is proficient in basic hand-to-hand combat, able to fight unarmed against many of the armed enemies he might meet in the galaxy, although very proficient warriors and other lightsaber-wielding enemies would cause him to flee if he was unarmed, rather than to attempt to fight them, unless the lightsaber-wielding enemy was a near-complete neophyte regarding such forms of combat. He is also well practiced with quarterstaffs, axes, and swords (both single and double-bladed), although he prefers the sword amongst those weapons. Lastly, due to his master's pragmatic stance regarding combat, Sihkar - much to his own personal distaste - is a good shot with blasters and slugthrowers, and keeps a blaster rifle with him due to the fact that he can't ignore its usefulness. His master, meanwhile, was known to use a blaster rifle in long range combat, or have a blaster carbine or pistol in one hand and his lightsaber in the other, bashing his enemies' defenses away and then shooting them when presented with an opening, or shooting any other enemies attempting to get close to him and the one he was duelling. Sihkar doesn't do that, due to the fact that he is nowhere near as strong as his master was, and can't fight with the same level of brutality.

Sihkar is also a good cook and a proficient pilot, using his master's old ship to get around from planet to planet. He isn't a skilled mechanic, however - that was always his master's job - so he has to rely on others to fulfill that need. He's been meaning to get an astro droid for that, but he never remembers to.

[beebox3=100%]Strengths and Weaknesses[/beebox3]

Sihkar is a proficient warrior, able to hold his own into most any fight he gets in - especially if he has his lightsaber handy. He is also a good pilot, and his naturally-friendly nature lends itself well to gather allies and making friends - or just lets him get what he needs easier, because he can put most anybody he meets at ease relatively quickly after they talk to him. His ability to control the Force, as well, is well-developed for the amount of training he got in it, enabling him to be a fairly well-rounded Jedi.

However, he is not without his own personality flaws; while it takes a lot to make him angry, his anger is prodigious and hard for him to control when it comes up. He is also very bad about putting people up on a pedestal, thinking of them in a more idealized sense than being realistic with them - which can cause him troubles in relating to others whenever he feels they haven't lived up to his ideal. He doesn't have many skills outside of combat, cooking, and piloting, either - which limits his effectiveness in most situations he finds himself put in.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Sihkar, in true wanderig-nomad Jedi fashion, doesn't have particularly many possessions. He has his clothes - a few sets of the traditional Jedi clothes and robes, as well as some more simple travelling clothes, similar to those worn by any other member of the galaxy. He also has some armour for when he knows he's going into battle, composed of a durasteel cuirass, pauldrons, bracers, gauntlets, and greaves, that he wears underneath his outer robe for purposes of concealment - at least until the battle begins.

He also has an EB-4 Blaster Pistol and an R-8R battle rifle (in a cut down form with a collapsible stock) that he keeps with him, in case he has to fight at range. Aside from those, he has a quarterstaff and some vibroswords he keeps primarily for training purposes - although he can use them as backup weapons if needed, although he normally just leaves them on his ship.

His main weapon, however, is his lightsaber, a weapon constructed when he finished training under his old master. The hilt design relates specifically to Sihkar's nature as a duellist; it is constructed to be somewhat similar to cavalry sabres that might be used on more primitive worlds, with ergonomics a primary concern, while the large handguard - similar to a wing in profile - is made of phrik, able to protect Sihkar's hand if his enemy should somehow be able to strike there. Other than the activation stud, all the controls of the weapon are within the hilt, requiring Sihkar to use the Force to modify them. The blade of the lightsaber is amber in colour, and the crystal that Sihkar chose to focus his weapon is slightly different from most Kyber crystals, partially due to the colour, although also to how it grew: the crystal is heavily compressed compared to mose Kyber crystals, causing the blade it produces to be quite thin, with a slow pulse of energy running down its length at regular intervals.

He also has a simple backpack, a water bottle, a holster for his blaster pistol, a datapad with holonet access, and a bank account that somehow manages to keep from going negative with how much Sihkar likes to shell out his money when helping people. He also has a simple landspeeder that he uses when travelling particularly far on a planet.

[beebox3=100%]Ship[/beebox3]

Sihkar's ship is a simple freighter, with most of the cargo space converted into training space and extra living quarters, in case Sihkar ever has a group of visitors on his ship or a Padawan to train.

yay I'm finally working on character three

[beebox3=100%]
Kalaar Cin'ciri

[/beebox3]

An Anzati Jedi Padawan who has never progressed past that rank, Kalaar Cin'ciri is a highly-trained man with memories of the last war and his actions commited during it - as well as the ramifications of those actions - and still struggles daily to overcome his baser, more animalistic instincts. In order to live up to the Jedi's ideal as a protector he has joined the army being formed by Bau Zo, both as a way to channel his energies and attentions towards something other than forcing himself to suppress the addiction his species shares, and to demonstrate that he is worthy to be recognized as a fully-fledged Jedi Knight.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinForce Sensitive
AnzatMale122 years6'5''220 PoundsClose-cropped auburnBluePale, with greyish colourationYes

Kalaar is a large man, standing at 6'5'' in height, weighing in at 220 pounds. Despite his weight, however, he is not particularly large around, instead maintaining a rather thin physique, due to his weight being composed primarily of muscle, gained from a life full of hard work. However, while he is large, he wouldn't really stand out as a giant among men among most humans or near-humans in the galaxy.

He keeps his hair cut relatively short, so that it doesn't get in the way whenever he has to put on any sort of headgear; as well, it's just much easier to deal with short. Due to being an Anzat, his nose is considered to slightly abnormally large, athough most sentients in the galaxy wouldn't give this a second thought; the reason for its size is to accomodate the pouches near it that house his proboscises. When his proboscises are extended outwards, his nose actually sinks slightly downward nearer to his face and loses some of the swelling at its sides, looking like a normally-sized human-esque olfactory organ.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Going along with his size and evidenced by how much his weight is influenced by his musculature, Kalaar is a very strong man, both in short bursts of strength (such as, say, attempting to break open a door or batter down an enemy's defenses in physical combat) and in longer, more endurance-related exhibitions of his power (such as holding somebody down in a grapple, or carrying a heavy load for a long distance). He is also rather dextrous, able to move quickly and precisely - however, the way he describes it, his fingers are a bit too twitchy for work with explosives and the like, so he doesn't do that much; for the most part, however, he has no issues. Lastly, he has a prodigious constitution, able to take a beating and give it right back, endure most physical activity he might run into, and he generally lives a rather healthy lifestyle...outside of battle. These traits are all influenced by a singular attribute: Fitting with his species, Kalaar is a predator, and a predator has to be well equiped to hunt their prey.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Kalaar has a high level of general intelligence, especially as relates to military matters. Beyond that, he learns quickly and has a good memory; he is also rather well read, and like many members of his long-lived species, he has chosen a couple hobbies to go along with his current occupation, those being literary studies and writing of his own, making him a rather well-read individual, as well as performance in music. Meanwhile, he is wise enough to have common sense and know how to act in many situations, and can see through many blatant lies and traps; however, he is not a good source of life advice, pithy sayings, and the like - he'd just direct you to some shrivelled up old Jedi Master for something like that, considering he doesn't set much store in such things. Nor is he particularly charismatic - while he isn't averse to joking around, his personality is normally rather serious, both when he is alone and when he is dealing with others, something he often avoids while he can. However, he is an effective commander, but he doesn't rely on rousing speeches and the like to motivate anybody working with him, he instead works alongside them and impresses them with his results.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

Probably the first facet of Kalaar's personality that anybody who doesn't already know him will note upon meeting him is his almost preternatural ability to focus on a single activity or object at a time. This often is extended into a single-minded dedication to a cause or action he is undertaking, with the sheer force of will he uses both to ensure that his mind does not stray from what he is currently working on proving a powerful stumbling block to the use of any mental force powers upon the Anzat...as well as providing a somewhat frightful example to other beings of what this obsession can look like, especially when they consider the other target of his obsession might be.

Related to that, Kalaar is - in general - a rather serious individual. While he is not averse at all towards making jokes and generally being able to relax, he always tries to keep mindful of the task at hand or the manner in which a Jedi is supposed to act. He carefully considers and weighs every action he takes in his mind to ensure it presents the proper image of a Jedi to others, even as he strives to maintain his focus on such outwards matters, distracting the addiction that grows stronger in him as each day goes on.

Said addiction is the reason for Kalaar acting the way he does. As an Anzat, he feels the normal hunger for 'Soup' that all Anzat feel; during the course of the last war against the Sith he made the mistake of satisfying his base predatory instincts, feeding on the soup of a downed enemy. Ever since that point he has felt the growing addiction inside him, threatening to turn him into a feral predator, feasting unchecked on all around him. This is why he focuses himself so heavily upon whatever he is doing or studying at a given time, his own force of will made stronger than the pull of the addiction within him purely so that he might combat the urge to fall into degeneracy, failing the Jedi Masters who had rasied him so long ago, and failing himself as well.

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Combat
[/beebox3]

Kalaar Cin'ciri is a proficient duellist with a lightsaber, having had more than a century to hone his skills with the weapon. Over the last century he has mastered the form of Soresu, an achievement that took him forty years to manage, operating as he was mostly without a master; he has also mastered Shii-cho, something he had managed to do within two decades of the last war with the Sith ending, before moving to Soresu. He has also put some study into the forms of Niman and Shien, although due to the amount of time he still spends maintaining his skill in the first and third forms, he is only little better than a novice, untested combatant with forms five and six.

As well, over time he has worked on other combat skills, mainly unarmed martial arts and the useage of firearms; while he generally detests using firearms he cannot deny their usefulness, which is why he has practiced to ensure that with a rifle, operating only on iron sights, he is still deadly accurate out to three hundred meters, the standard zero range; he is moderately more fond of pistols, if only because they're not as in-your-face and crude as a military blaster rifle, and is extremely accurate with one of them. However, he still far prefers his lightsaber over such projectile weapons.

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

Over the last century Kalaar has become very well practiced in the Force, with distinct levels of proficiency in the fields of telekinetics, energy manipulation, and mental manipulations. He is also practiced with acrobatics, healing, and manipulation of his or his fellows' status effects, and sensing, as well as able to ender the normal sort of Jedi trances that allow him to subtly increase his connection to the Force, and utilize his other powers more greatly; however, though he is well practiced in all these abilities, he most often focuses on - especially in battle - telekinetics, energy manipulation, and mental manipulations.

Specifically, he is very proficient in general telekinetics, including in the powers of Force Push and Pull, and some of their derivatives (for example, when needed, Kalaar can send out a powerful wave in ithe Force, buying himself some small time to regroup in battle while his enemies are blasted away), alongside just generally being able to lift and throw items, or more subtly manipulate them. He is also one of the Jedi Order's most proficient users of the Mind Trick, the sheer force of will he uses to keep himself from giving into the addiction bred into him, while also useful for protecting himself from mental manipulations, is also very useful when it comes to swaying the minds of other sentients; be it in a very subtle manner, with a slight push, typical of a mind trick...or, if needed, such as in an interrogation, he can bring the brunt of his will to bear on somebody's mind, skill born of long practice with the abilities, coupled with the strength of his willpower, quickly forcing whoever it is he is interrogating to divulge their information.

Lastly, he has chosen to practice in the field of energy manipulation. He has come to be rather proficient with these powers within the last thirty years, owing to a great amount of practice within the various Jedi temples. He can send a bolt of ionized energy ripping through a droid's systems (or an organic's organs), disabling many of them in moments, depending on how much strength he puts into the power to get around any protections the droid may have, or how long it takes to burn the cells present in a living being. He can also use it to sap the heat from his enemies, through the useage of cryokinesis; he has recently begun studying the ability of crafting shields of energy in the Force, tangible walls of light to defend himself from his enemies, as well.

However, despite his proficiency in the various areas of the useage of the Force, Kalaar still seems - to many who haven't witnessed him practicing in the safety of a temple - to be rather basic in his general useage of his power. This is due to the fact that, especially in battle, he is leery of indulging in his skill with the Force, in fear of it, and the sense of power he would feel due to it, drawing his urge to feed ever closer to the surface. That is why he has trained himself more with the blade, quick reactions and muscle memory able to keep him more effective in battle than his ability with the Force, as the stumbling block he has regarding using his supernatural powers makes his use of them rather clumsy and ineffective most of the time.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Due to his long life, Kalaar has cultivated multiple interests within himself, although most of them have amounted only to the general skills many sentients in the galaxy have. He is generally good with computers (although not a slicer by any means), he can fly most of the commonly seen ships in the galaxy rather well, he knows how to keep a speeder running, he can cook and do laundry, all of the common stuff.

However, he has two hobbies that he has cultivated. The first is writing coupled with a general literary study, with multiple of Kalaar's short stories (and critical essays) having been published in some of the literary magazines circulating about the holonet (alwasy under a pseudonym, however). This has also caused him to become rather well-read, making Kalaar into a bit of a bookworm when he isn't off on duty as a Jedi.

The other hobby is music; specifically, performing music. Kalaar is a proficient player of the bass viol, able to play in both the classical music (such as the historical music of Naboo, Chandrila, and other worlds, as well as that which is contemporarily produced) and jizz and jatz genres. He still wants to have the opportunity to record a piece, at some point.

Kalaar is also multilingual, a fluent reader, writer, and speaker of Basic, Mando'a, Huttese, and Shyriiwook (cut out the speaker part of that one).

[beebox3=100%]Strengths and Weaknesses[/beebox3]

Kalaar is a very proficient bladesman, as well as being well versed in the useage of the Force. His natural attributes are a great boon to him, as are his powerful willpower and ability to focus almost to the point of obsession; he is a hard man to sway from any path once he has begun to take it, and few have abilities in mental powers strong enough to overpower his own force of will.

However, his useage of the Force outside of the calmness of a Jedi temple is often crippled by a sense of fear and doubt that pervades him, regarding his ability to keep the beastly addiction that constantly grows within him from taking over. While this has helped him develop his strength of will, it also prevents him from acting to his fullest abilities, as well as requiring him to mentally plan almost every action he takes as he goes about life. This can lead to his response time to a conversation seeming relatively slow, or as though his thoughts are almost always elsewhere (which, in fact, they are).

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Kalaar Cin'ciri has the average robes of the Jedi, although his are dyed primarily in a dark brown and burgundy sort or colouration. This colour - coupled with his great stature - has at times made him appear intimidating to smaller or lesser beings, although normally he tries to avoid this.

He also has a rather standard sort of lightsaber design (credit goes to Rob Petkau at www.genesiscustomsabers.com, shown in the picture), with a blade shroud and showing some wear from regular use. He does, however, keep good care of it, which is why it has lasted him over the last century without too much wear and tear all over it.

Other than that, he has the average set of possessions many people in the galaxy have. A good datapad, a good few credits stored in the bank, that sort of thing.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

While it is assumed that he was born on Anzat, nobody is particularly sure where the Anzati Jedi Padawan named Kalaar Cin'ciri is from. What is known is that he was delivered to the Jedi Order whilst still an infant - four months of age, specifically - by one of the more nomadic masters of the order. The elder refused to speak as to the infant's parents or any other information, only claiming that the child was sensitive to the Force, and that he should be allowed to choose his own name when he became older, as was traditional for his species. Other masters of the order, as well as the Council of the time, were unsure of what else to do with the infant - after all, they didn't want to let a potentially great Jedi slip from their hands, nor did they want to run the risk that the child grew up to be an adherent of the dark side - so Kalaar Cin'ciri was raised as a Jedi, his first memories being of sitting in the Jedi Archives, marvelling at all the books - electronic and physical - that were kept there.

There had been one specific master assigned to him to act as a surrogate parent, for the time that the young Anzat spent outside of the classes and training in his clan. This master was the one responsible for Kalaar's multilingualness, and it was when the youngling began to learn Mando'a that he chose his name for himself, as by that point he was at least old enough to learn that "youngling" and "you!" weren't his names. As such, he chose to name himself Kalaar Cin'ciri, meaning "snow hawk," simply because he enjoyed a holo he had seen in which Mando'a had been spoken that had the same name (in hindsight, he finds the movie of rather poor quality, although he still stands by what he named himself).

His training progressed at a rather standard pace, with himself never particularly noticing or acknowledging the abnormal hunger that he felt, as it was something that his master-father would address later on. He learned the forms of Shii-cho and Soresu rather quickly, becoming an adept duellist in both by the age of 15, while quickly growing in his abilities with the Force. It was around that same time that a war began with the Sith, and Kalaar was among many Padawans who were sent out to the front lines with their masters.

It was at the time they were being deployed that Kalaar's master explained to him the hunger that he felt as an Anzat, in light of the fact that war was often a trying time, drawing many beings closer to both the dark side and their baser instincts. Kalaar accepted the knowledge seriously, ensuring his master that he wouldn't allow himself to be overcome by those instincts. As with most such promises made by young adolescents, he eventually proved himself wrong.

At the age of twenty, nearing the end of the war and the time the Council would knight him, Kalaar's master was killed in a battle on Felucia. Kalaar struck down his master's murderer in a rage, although he didn't kill the Sith Acolyte - barely two years older than him - immediately. Upon disarming his enemy and forcing them to the ground, Kalaar reached down, grabbing the man by the throat and lifting him up, ignoring the look of horror on his face. Within seconds his proboscises shot out from his cheek pouches, forcing their way through the older human's nostrils and punching into his cranium, as Kalaar feasted on the man's 'soup,' indulging the animalistic part of himself. Horrified by what he had done and the darkness he felt within him - and even more horrified at the pleasure he felt when he took the action - he ran off into the fungal forests, being listed as MIA while avoiding all other sentients, trying to come to grips with what he had done.

A few days later he emerged from the jungle, seeming much more distant and serious than before. He told the army commanders that he had been chasing a Sith through the forests, their Force-fueled sprinting carrying the deep into the forests, and draining them of their strength; Kalaar had succeeded, although he had taken almost an entire day to rest before limping his way back to the encampment. The soldiers there, as well as the commanders and the Knights present, attributed his newly-increased introversion and serious demeanour to the trauma of the battle, including his master's death and the falsified chase. In a private meeting with the Jedi Council once he had returned to Tython, he divulged the truth to them; contrary to his expectations, he was not immediately expelled from the order, because the Council had been able to recognize the sincerity in his words, as well as the effort he as currently undergoing to prevent himself from falling off the edge into darkness again. In recognition of this they allowed him to stay in the Order, although they would not knight him, as they felt he needed to learn how to control himself better, and to return to a proper state of balance within himself, before he could be knighted.

Accepting the ruling graciously, Kalaar set to his life over the next century of being a Padawan, although he never took a master again, and the Council - even the less forgiving arrangements of the Jedi Council that arose after the one that granted him leniency - never forced him to take one or any master to take him, feeling that his current trial was one he could only undergo alone. Now, a century later, he still has yet to find the answer he seeks in the temples, causing him to return to the fields of battle in order to find the answers he needs.

Svero tur Auras

[/beebox3]

A minor nobleman from Alderaan, Svero tur Auras is a veteran soldier with just over five years of experience in active duty for the Republic. After having his leg blown off and being reassigned to an office job, he became disillusioned with the Republic, and upon being retired from his military service, he joined the Sacred Band of Ziost - of which he has recently passed the "entrance examination" for to be considered a full brother.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinCyberneticsForce Sensitive
HumanMale26 years6'8''196 PoundsClose-cropped dark brownBlueVery pale, needs sunlight badCybernetic Lower Right LegYes, but currently unknown

Svero's features, outside of armour, are fairly unassuming. He sports a relatively plain face, being only distinguishable from the rest of humanity via a few scars (including a prominent half-smile scar, extending from the left corner of his mouth to his left earlobe), his blue eyes, his close-cropped dark hair (along with a short full beard), and most strikingly, how extraordinarily pale he is. He has spent quite a bit of time on the field, depriving his skin of sunlight - when he isn't out in his armour, he's normally inside, working in relative darkness.

The rest of his body flows along with his face - he's a powerfully built man, well over six feet tall and nearing 200 pounds in weight, due mainly to the large amount of physical activity and exercise he partakes in in his career. The most striking aspect of his bodily appearance is his right leg; from just above the knee down, it is entirely cybernetic, having been lost to a mine on some backwater planet called Felucia. The replacement is high-quality, however, and has bolt attachments points for modified armour, allowing him to keep it protected. He neglected to put synthskin on it.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Owing to the sheer amount of exercise and physical activity he gets as a member of formerly the BA and currently the Sacred Band of Ziost, Svero tur Auras is a very strong man - unlike the immediate members of his since-disowned family. He can carry quite a bit of weight, deliver a very powerful punch, and would have a good chance at winning when wrestling with a Gammorean. He is also fairly dextrous in his natural state, able to move quickly and precisely; his armour and the weight he carries limits this somewhat, but he can still move around quite a bit on the battlefield. And, outside of his armour, he has a very hearty constitution - he rarely gets sick, living a fairly healthy lifestyle (aside from being a soldier), and he can take a hard hit and keep on moving through sheer determination.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Owing to a high-class upbringing and education, Svero is a very intelligent man, with knowledge on varied topics - however, over recent years his knowledge has come to focus itself upon military matters, in which - regarding tactics, ships, weaponry, or any other aspect of military life - his knowledge base and facility with it is nearly unparalleled. He is also quite observant, and knows enough to pay close attention - however, he is not, in general, particularly wise or charismatic - his focus is on battle and the pursuits immediately related to that, and his most formative years aside from young childhood were spent learning to survive on a battlefield. He is almost useless in civillian life, and he definitely isn't some sort of charismatic yuppie politician.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

The main aspects of Svero's personality can be understood through the lens of his military service. He is a fairly simple man, for the most part, with a focus on living in the moment coupled with a "Get it done and get it done right" view on any task. While he isn't without humour, you'd be hard-pressed to get him to make a joke that doesn't revolve around live in the SBZ and isn't some sort of dark humour.

He joined the SBZ due to his disillusionment with the Republic - after having his leg blown off by a mine he was moved from active duty to an office job of sorts, which left him more time to pay attention to the news, focus on politics, and the like, and his disappointment with all of it led him to join the Sacred Band. This isn't to say that he particularly likes the Sith, who are the other members of the Brotherhood, or even some higher-ups in the Sacred Band itself - he detests most of them about as much as the politicians of the Republic. However, as he puts it, "At least the Sith admit to being corrupt bastards."

He doesn't speak often of his past prior to serving in the Border Alliance, and is mildly contemptuous of most of his family. As well, he has an aversion towards using his "noble privilege" for anything, unless it might somehow prove to be of some aid to his teammates in the course of a mission. While he originally joined the military to gain some sort of name for himself within his own family (being the third son of the third son of the cousin of one of the past heads of the house), this has long since changed to be him just viewing military service as his calling in life, and he holds little respect for anybody who hasn't proven themselves in battle...especially officers of any regular military force, having gained the position simply due to their higher standing in life than line soldiers.

He is also somewhat fatalistic in regards to his service, and ultimately assumes he'll just die on the field of battle. Due to his own perceived expendability, as well as how he has come to define himself by his military life, he joined Gorgon team to possibly facilitate a quick end to that career.

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Combat
[/beebox3]

Owing to his time spent in service with the BA - as well as how quickly he managed to pass through the initial 'training and entrance exams' for the Sacred Band of Ziost - Svero tur Auras is an expert combatant. While he's able to take on the majority of roles that might be needed, from designated marksman on to heavy-weapons specialist, he primarily takes on the specialty of the Close Quarters Combatant or an Assault specialist. The way he views it, he was made purely to make a hard push into enemy lines, taking the battle to them and weakening enemy forces so that his squad/any larger group behind him could mop up whatever remained; given the high prevalence of urban fighting, he trained in order to do that, as well...and given the surprise-attack, deep-strike nature of his squad, he fits in perfectly. He is also a deadly combatant with his blades, especially the surprise-attack nature of his retractable blade.

[beebox3=75%]
General
[/beebox3]

Svero's general skills outside of battle are somewhat lacking. He can pilot a ship, or run a landspeeder. He knows how to use a computer. He can do his taxes, and he knows how to buy groceries. Probably the most important to what he normally does is that he's multilingual, fluent in Basic, Sith, Huttese, Twi'lek, and is currently learning Mando'a, due to the Death Watch's alliance with the Sith Brotherhood.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Although he can use many different weapons with great effect, and as such can have a varying loadout depending on the mission he's on, Svero's weaponry usually consists of a few main stays that he always keeps with him - an R-8R battle rifle, with a fixed 3x scope, shortened barrel, sling mount for easy carrying, and a collapsible stock, coming in at a total length of 870 centimeters; he usually keeps eleven (ten extra aside from what's in the weapon) standard power packs and two high-capacity power packs on his person for the weapon, totallying in at 300 shots of ammunition for his primary weapon. He also often carries a B-8R pistol with five (one in weapon, four extra) standard power packs, for sixty shots of ammunition, holstered on his right thigh; for exceptionally close quarters scenarios, he also carries an MD-12, with a clip-bracket to attach to his armour, with six power packs total for it. For melee weapons, he has a Phrik Sith longsword that he took as spoils from the man he killed to gain entrance to the SBZ, though it was reworked into three weapons due to its size not fitting Svero's needs - a parang-styled blade (sheathed at his left thigh), a dirk (sheathed along with the parang), and a retractable blade, hidden in the modified bracer of his armour.

For his armour, he wears a suit of Redoubt-series Armour, minorly modified to remove all the glowy bits and to replace the basic helmet with a more open faceplated design; while this might appear dangerous at first, the faceplate was made of high-quality transparisteel, and is more than strong enough to protect him from any suprise shots to the face. Unless somebody makes a good follow-up shot, that is. He has numerous ammunition pouches attached so that he can reload his weapons, as well as attachment clips for his shotgun. He still uses the flamethrower attachment (mounted on his left bracer) for the armour, however he replaced the micro-filament net launcher with something more immediately lethal - clenching his right hand into a tight fist activates a retractable phrik blade, extending from his bracer over the back of his hand and with the point of it sticking out 3 inches past his knuckles; to retract the blade from its extended position he simply has to deliberately clench his fist again, automatically retracting the blade.

In terms of specialty weapons, the most he usually carries would be a pair of BB-8 Anti-Personnel grenades, as well as one SCKO grenade and a Supernova Grenade.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

Svero's childhood is not a subject he often speaks about, when compared to his years as a young adult up until the present. The most anybody can glean from his earlier years is that he was born the third son of the third son of the cousin of the head of an Alderaanian noble family, leaving him with a paltry inheritance (for a noble), extremely little chance of becoming anything important in the house hierarchy, and still leaving him a target for assassination should anybody wish to cause the family harm. However, he did have some privilege - he still attended functions that only the aristocrats could go to, he was sent to the best schools on Alderaan, and the like. His was a life of comfort, although lacking in any actual prospects for personal advancement.

Gradually he came to realize that the only way he'd be able to make a name for himself that the rest of his family might respect would be to either go into business or the military. Already annoyed with the politics he had witnessed - and with a recognition of just how much business played into that - he instead left to join the growing Border Alliance at the age of 18, choosing active military service. Contrary to what might have been expected of him, he didn't use his high level of education and his noble background to obtain any special rank, instead starting from the bottom just as everybody else. He passed through his training quickly and eventually took on active service.

At this time, all that he was really involved in was policing actions more than outright military conflict, although the Sith Brotherhood - while not explicitly known about - was a fear that numerous people had, comparing current events with what occured during the rise of Sith goups in history. He saw numerous battles, although that time was cut short during a military action on Felucia, hunting down and trying to exterminate a terrorist organization that had caused problems on various worlds within the Republic. The level of organization and skill encountered within the insurgent band was more than was normally expected from people of their type, as well as the equipment they had - Svero still doesn't know who might have been backing them, but he has his suspicions. During the fighting, however, he lost his lower right leg to a mine, taking him out of active service.

While he was recuperating and prosthetic leg was being developed for him, Svero was put into an office job, tracking recquisitions and supplies for various battle groups across the republic's border. This left him quite a bit of time to himself, which he ended up spending by trying to keep up-to-date on current events in the Republic. His distaste for politics, developed as a child in his family, came back quickly - and with it came a quick disillusionment with the Republic and the corruption in its upper classes. He finished out the last two years of his enlistment, receiving an honourable discharge at the age of 24. After that, he and his new leg sought out the threat that he had since been fighting against, as by that point Svero had decided that the Republic government wasn't worth saving. One trip into the galactic northeast and some time spent gathering information in the area later, and Svero made his way to Ziost. Once there, he quickly lost himself within the whirlwind of training and activity meant to weed out all but the strongest candidates for the Sacred Band.

Not long after he arrived, came the time for his test to become a brother of the Sacred Band of Ziost. His earlier skills had served him rather well in this new field of training, and the test he was given to join the Sacred Band was one that harkened back to the older traditions of the group: bring the head of his strongest enemy on Ziost to those who were considering his candidacy, killed in front of them. It wasn't long before he challenged that enemy to combat. There had been a Sith training with the Sacred Band, a hulking brute of a Massassi who brought forth a large phrik longsword in combat, rather than the more common lightsaber. He and Svero had been rivals almost since the day that Svero had come to the planet, although the Massassi - with his training the Force and natural tendencies towards a warrior's life - had managed to outpace Svero at nearly every contest the pair had engaged in.

So it came to pass that - in front of a select few Commanders of the SBZ, with both Svero and the Massassi barechested in the Ziost cold, wearning nothing but simple pants and each wielding a blade (Svero a simple dagger compared to the Massassi's oversized phrik sword) with which to kill the other. Neither Svero's strength nor his speed could compete with the preternaturally enhanced abilities of the Force-Sensitive Massassi Sith warrior for long, but what he didn't have in sheer physical ability compared to the Massassi he had in cunning knowledge of both his enemy and himself. As such, after short amount of time narrowly dancing around his enemy's blade, Svero saw the opportunity he needed.

The Massassi warrior, tired of playing around in the cold, launched a fast and powerful swing at Svero, putting almost all of his weight behind it, aiming to simply cleave his opponent in two. Svero would be neither fast enough to avoid it nor strong enough to parry it with a small knife - but he had an advantage the Massassi didn't know about. He quickly raised his leg, catching the Massassi's blade in the metal of his prosthetic. The phrik blade bit deep - damaging the prosthetic irreparably - but it gave Svero a good opportunity to jump up from the ground where he'd fallen, ripping the leg off in the process, and bury his dagger in the surprised Massassi's eye. As the body went limp he proceeded to carve the head off, tossing it at the feet of the commanders who had witnessed the fight, before grabbing the Massassi's sword to use as a momentary crutch, and tying a tourniquet around his bloody stump with the tattered cloth of the right leg of his pants.

After receiving medical attention - as well as a newer, better prosthetic, made to work alongside a new set of armour that had been debuted for membes of the SBZ - Svero was inducted into the elite ranks of the organization, keeping his earlier prosthetic and the dagger he'd used in the fight as souvenirs at his quarters, while the phrik longsword was reworked into three different weapons for his use. After he got used to the new leg he quickly applied to be a member of GORGON team, quickly approved for it and given the callsign of G-3.

Description
After seeing the success of the R-8R rifle on the outer rim, especially among large warrior and mercenary groups, Merr-Sonn Munitions decided to capitalize upon their success by crafting a companion sidearm for the R-8R. They went into it with multiple goals - to make it a hard-hitting weapon, to make it just as reliable as its parent rifle, and to make it have slightly more aesthetic appeal than the R-8R did.

To that end, they have created the B-8R pistol. Primarily designed via downsizing and slightly tweaking the mechanisms of the R-8R to fit a smaller package, it has all of the reliability of the R-8R, so that anybody using one never has to worry about it deciding to stop working on them, regardless of how badly choked with mud it is. So long as a bolt can come out of the barrel, it'll work. And, much the same as the R-8R, it also doubles as a handy hammer, either for trying to drive a tent stake or bash an opponent's skull - the hardiness of the weapon, as well as its being weightier than most pistols of similar size and power, lend it well to being used as either blaster or brick.

However, partially due to the downsizing overall and partially due to the attempt to fit the mechanisms into a sleeker package, the B-8R isn't the same sort of hard-hitter as its parent weapon. In terms of sheer power alone, it can't really compete with the heavy blaster pistols that some people like to carry - the B-8R moreso fulfills the role of a general use, medium blaster pistol, being useful in battle as a sidearm or as a primary weapon, still packing a decent punch but favouring increased ammunition capacity and accurate shooting over simple sheer power. This does, also, come with the benefit of reduced recoil, making it much easier to run around with two of these blasters, one in each hand, than it might be with some of the wrist-breaking heavy blaster pistols.

Priced at 350 credits to make it quite affordable and heavily marketed to mercenary and PMC groups around the galaxy, especially in the former Border Alliance and especially on the world of Mandalore, the B-8R is an affordable weapon designed for decent, all-around use on any battlefield you can think of, with both ammunition capacity and power enough to take down any sentient you can find, more reliability in any circumstance than a Jedi's ability to preach, and a gentle enough kick that you don't have to wear a wrist brace just to shoot it safely.

Aral'gor'enuodo

[/beebox3]

180

(Aral'gor'enuodo, on a past mission)
Known most often by his core name Algore, Aral'gor'enuodo is a Chiss, like most of his kind native to Csilla. Owing to the fact that the Sith Empire matched up rather well with most Chiss attitudes towards space, order, and military superiority - as well as a lack of acceptable (in his mind) prospects in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force - Aral'gor'enuodo and his sister chose to leave Chiss space, finding themselves a place within the now-powerful Sith empire, like various Chiss before them. Having joined the Stormtroopers of the Imperial Legion when he arrived, Aral'gor'enuodo has since risen up to the rank of Commander, with the intention to continue rising further, regardless of the means that might prove necessary to do so.

As a side note, while he often tells people to just call him Algore, he detests being called Al. Full military designation: Commander Aral'gor'enuodo, IC-90125, Imperial Special Forces.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinForce Sensitive
ChissMale21 years5'11"154 PoundsVery dark blue, almost blackBioluminescent redPale blueNo

For the most part, Aral'gor'enuodo's outward appearance is that of an average humanoid; average height, neither particularly thin nor particularly stocky, straight medium-sized nose, clean shaven facial hair, pointed chin, the works. The main difference that most people notice is that his skin is blue and his eyes are bioluminescent and red. In general, that's enough to get him noticed almost anywhere in the galaxy, owing to how rare a sight Chiss are; it's highly unlikely that he'll find anybody he can blend in with the way he is normally (unless he manages to find a group of Pantorans, then he has a small chance).

Owing directly to his personal facial appearance, Aral'gor'enuodo has all the markings of an average Chiss male, not just an average humanoid male. He has an aquiline nose, a somewhat triangular face shape with a pointed chin and jawline, and high cheekbones; like most Chiss, he keeps his face clean-shaven, and the hair on top of his head - a blue dark enough that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was black - relatively short; currently he has it styled in a relaxed side part.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

While he isn't particularly lacking in the strength department, Algore isn't a shining paragon in it either - in keeping with the training he receives, he is kept physically fit and reasonably strong, but no moreso than any average soldier would be. Instead, it is in his dexterity where he truly shines, both in natural agility and in careful precision - he bases his entire method of fighting on being fast enough to avoid getting hit (or on just staying out of his enemy's reach entirely) while also having the speed and precision to deliver battle-ending hits as quickly as possible. Regarding his constitution, he has the average level of stamina and pain tolerance that can be expected for a soldier of his position - which might come as a small surprise given his thinner build, to those who don't know of his actual profession.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

The world of the mind is where Algore's abilities truly shine; he is a very intelligent man, being well-read in all of the fields that pertain to his work and very able to draw upon that knowledge whenever it is needed. He could be said to have average wisdom, though he is at least fairly well experienced and perceptive to the events occurring around him; however, he is a bit of a loner, and is not very charismatic at all - expecting him to speak to others and actually enjoy it is a lost cause.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

As of yet, Imperial Legion psychological assessments have yet to turn back any results that Algore is mentally compromised in any way. He does, however, have a strong penchant towards engaging in "lone wolf"-type operations, and generally appears to function best when alone or only working with one or two others. This is reflected by his behaviour when in a larger unit - while he was considered highly professional, the majority of his fellow soldiers also found him to be somewhat cold and standoffish, particularly when questioned about his family; his twin sister's membership in the Sith Order might be part of the reason for such an attitude.

During his time as a private within the Imperial Legion, there were many statements submitted by officers that he served under - some praises, others complaints - that all tied into the same common thread: Algore is, while still highly respectful and professional, far more verbal of his disagreements on tactical matters than is the norm; various of his previous officers praised his initiative, while others detested him for it, although since he never violated code on matters of insubordination, he couldn't be charged with any sort of misconduct. Moreso, whenever it was made clear that he was not to question orders, only to follow them, he still had the discipline to do as the Legion required. Off the field, his life still seems to revolve around battle, with his constant training and study of tactics; some level of sibling rivalry or jealousy might also be involved in this. He has also recently expressed interest in partaking in intelligence/saboutage undercover operations for the Empire; owing to his generally rock-solid resolve and highly focused mindset, he might be a good choice for such a role.

I haven't seen much this timeline that would fulfill the role of a squad automatic weapon/actual Star Wars (like the T-21 light repeater) style repeating blaster rifle/light repeater/heavy personal repeater (thanks for inconsistent terminology, Star Wars) yet, so with a new character coming up soon who I could use this with, I thought to give it a go. Thanks to @Arclight for the initial acronym.

Description
The Merr-Sonn Tactical Repeater is Merr-Sonn Munitions newest introduction to the military blaster market, intended to be sold to operators from either of the largest militaries currently battling against each other, as well as to anybody with the credits to spare from any of the mercenary groups roaming the galaxy or to any planetary militias. It is also the first blaster to be introduced in the Merr-Sonn Tactical line, which will consist of a large family of similarly-designed blaster weapons intended to give the user an edge in any life-fire scenarios.

With prototypes having been developed from Merr-Sonn's earlier R-8R rifle, the operating mechanism of the MST-R is broadly similar to that of the R-8R; however, as the prototyping phase moved closer to actual production, the mechanism did change noticeably. Parts commonality is limited only to a few screws due to various mechanical needs that had to be accounted for in the weapon's system to enable its high power drain, high rate of fire, and to maintain an acceptable standard of power for Merr-Sonn weaponry. After all, if they released a weapon that failed to live up to the R-8R rifle that had become popular along the Republic border, it would be the worst step backwards any modern weapon company had made in centuries.

The MST-R, with its internal components composed primarily of heat-resistant dallorian alloy, is capable of maintaining a high rate of fire for a blaster of its size and power. With a cyclic rate of fire of 300 rounds per minute, it is easily the fastest-firing man-portable heavy blaster on the market, beaten out only by small carbines with far less power. In order to facilitate this, not only is the barrel made out of dallorian alloy, but it is also designed to be quickly changed out if necessary after prolonged periods of sustained fire - with a specialized wrench sold with the weapon, the large nut on the front of the barrel (that locks into the foregrip section) can be twisted, loosening it from the foregrip while also disengaging the barrel's connection to the receiver, allowing it to be pulled free and replaced with a second barrel, also sold alongside the primary weapon as part of its overall package. This prevents the barrels from overheating and melting, though care must still be taken to preserve the overall operating mechanism as well.

The weapon also comes standard with three attachments. The first is a folding stock - the weapon is sold standard in a right-handed configuration, though it is easily adjustable, and the stock folds along the right side of the weapon when not in use, shortening its length considerably. The second is a dual piece flashlight/targeting laser, attached on the underside of the foregrip, for use in low-light conditions. The last is a holographic sight, attached to a rail mounting - it can be replaced with various scopes if one wishes, or there are retractable iron sites at the near-end of the rail and at the far end of the foregrip, which pop out of the weapon with a simple button press near the rear sites.

While its power had to be toned down slightly from its parent weapon to facilitate its high rate of fire and automatic setting (just to ensure man-portable useability), the MST-R is still a hard-hitting anti-personnel blaster, capable of punching through even the hardest body armour in three or four direct hits, which is highly manageable by a trained operator. It also holds up the R-8R's reliability standard, having been field-tested in numerous locations throughout the galaxy, from Kashyyyk's shadowlands, Hoth's icy wastes, Dagobah's swamps, Tatooine's deserts, and everything else in between; and, due to its extremely hardy construction, is just as functional a club as the R-8R when all other methods of attack fail.

[beebox3=100%]
Senari Gravis

[/beebox3]

latest

A Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order, due to the destruction of Tython and numerous other plights that have befallen the Jedi, the Republic, and himself personally, Senari Gravis has recently elected to join the Jedi Army, despite his misgivings towards their - in his mind - overly militaristic ways.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinForce Sensitive
HumanMale27 years5'11''163 PoundsDark brown, wavy, medium lengthBrownCaucasianYes

Senari Gravis - if he isn't wearing his Jedi Robes - isn't the sort of man that stands out from a crowd. In most physical respects, he appears average - average height, average weight, average everything. The only features that prove particularly striking about him are his dark eyes, which - when focused and with the full weight of his mind behind them - seem to be particularly perceptive, while also carrying behind them a level of both experience and bitterness that should be more expected of somebody older than him; the other is his carefully-trimmed facial hair, which is the envy of numerous men (including other Jedi) the galaxy over.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Given that the main focus of his training (though not his later experience) was as a Jedi Guardian, Senari is a physically impressive man - he is fairly strong, for example, capable of lifting well above his weight, or going toe-to-toe in battle against most beings in the galaxy, possessing the sheer muscular prowess to hold his own against them. Coupled with developing his strength, he is also a dextrous man, possessed of a high level of fine motor control, and able to move quickly - this is just as much due to the fact that his training was focused on developing lean and toned muscle, rather than building him up into a bulky brute, than it is due to any natural ability. Lastly, he has the physical constitution to take numerous hits, the endurance to stay in battle for lengthy periods of time, and to avoid having outright killed himself with his current habits.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Senari isn't particularly any more intelligent than most Jedi - like many, he is fairly well read and has completed various studies, but beyond general knowledge of most things in the galaxy and the ability to look up anything else he needs, he's not regarded as some sort of genius. He is, however, fairly wise, due to his experiences as a Jedi Knight, having come to a greater understanding of the Force and having a fair amount of experience to draw on...although, in some ways, he is also very foolish. However, he is a fairly charismatic man, with a nearly-inexhaustable source of energy to throw towards his cause, and the willingness and ability to talk others into joining him - despite the appearance he presents sometimes, he is something that many Jedi, in his mind, need to be: a people person.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

Personality-wise, Senari seems to be a bit of a walking contradiction - he often complains of feeling restless while presenting the appearance of calmness and exceeding patience, as though willing to wait for any excitement to find him. He can seem cold and uncaring, the stereotypical overly-prideful Jedi, until he's seen giving more credits than he can really spare to a beggar, or going out of his way to complete some sort of task to the benefit of anybody beside himself; he is bitter and angry against the Sith and most other villains of the galaxy, yet refuses to kill them if he can avoid it. He throws himself into battle with all the fury of a raging wampa, yet never fully gives into it, and almost always tries to find a non-violent solution to any altercation he sees himself possibly being involved in.

Senari himself has little explanation for the contradictory behaviours - he often chalks it up to something about "Jedi values" and "the Will of the Force," but in actuality, he just knows himself about as little as anybody else does. He just acts however he feels in the moment, hoping that his flying-by-the-seat-of-his-pants approach to life won't cause his or anybody else's to end prematurely, though he does expend some effort towards preventing his frustration with the state of the galaxy from ruling his reactions to events - or as he says, "Y'know, show Jedi values, be a good Jedi, that sort of thing. It's all we really have, right?"

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

Since becoming a Jedi Knight, Senari has increased his practice with the Force to try and bring himself on par with various other Jedi around him; he is very skilled in its basic applications, especially in telekinesis and manipulation of his own body (meditating, increasing his speed or his strength, those sorts of things). He can fairly evenly compete with any other Jedi with these abilities, though they are nothing special. However, his increased studies have brought him into new fields that he had yet to explore.

The first is crafting shields with the Force, manipulating the energy around him to directly stop an incoming attack - while he is by no means a master of the art, he is capable of throwing up a shield to protect himself from direct attacks with the Force, though they won't completely stop them; he is also trying to create more tangible shields, that might be useful in stopping physical blows. The next is healing - while he never originally fancied himself a healer, his experiences as a Jedi Knight have led to him developing the ability further than most, so that now he is fairly proficient with the ability - using the Force alone, he can manage to keep many beings who have mortal (but not immediately lethal) wounds alive at least until they can reach more dedicated help, as well as increasing his own ability to heal from attacks, should he go into a trance; he is still studying this art as well, hoping to be able to reach a point where he might be more sure of his ability to keep others alive, and possibly return them quickly to the fight.

[beebox3=75%]
The Lightsaber
[/beebox3]

While his studies as a young man were primarily with the lightsaber, Senari only ever devoted himself to two forms - the first of those was Shii-cho, a bold, direct, and aggressive form - he found no enjoyment in Ataru's rapid, mad dash for death or in Shien/Djem-so's plodding approach to combat, but Shii-cho, in his mind, was the most well suited for an offensive duellist. He uses the form to great effect, having long since surpassed the linked-together sequences of movements and instead is now able to freely flow from one movement to the other, erratic enough in his movements to confuse his opponents while he adapts to every move they make, and smooth enough to make his unpredictability an asset, rather than a weakness that trips himself up.

The other form he studies is Niman, with a focus on its defensive aspects - while he felt that Soresu was too lacking in any offensive capabilities and too difficult (in his mind) to merge with his other form, he also came to feel that Shii-cho was too lacking in defense; as such, he began studying Niman, and through it became better able to incorporate the Force into his battle as well. While he doesn't have near the mastery of it as he does with Shii-cho, he is an adept enough combatant that he can hold his own using pure Niman alone.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Senari has mechanical skill enough to keep his starfighter and hyperdrive ring working, with the aid of his astromech droid. He knows how to use a computer fairly well, and is good enough at slicing and lockpicking to get his way into most containers or buildings that he shouldn't be in...although he isn't a good enough slicer to really hack into a system, get to important information, anything like that. He's also considered to be a very good cook, he knows how to do his laundry, and he can drink many beings twice his size under the table, not that that is very good for his liver.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Senari's most prized and important possession would have to be his lightsaber, which he constructed while he was still a Padawan himself. The weapon has never left his side since then, some other Jedi thinking that his attachment to the weapon is moderately unhealthy. Senari generally ignores them.

Other than that, his possessions are relatively minimal. He has ship and his droid, multiple sets of Jedi clothing, multiple sets of non-Jedi clothing, a cortosis-weave vibrosword and a B-8R pistol (three magazines in total for it) to go with the non-Jedi stuff whenever he has to go incognito, his datapad, stuff like that.

[beebox3=100%]Ship[/beebox3]

Senari flies an Antarian Starfighter, with a Syliure-11 Hyperdrive ring that he uses to get around in hyperspace; he has, however, had the ring modified, bring it down from a Class 7 to a Class 4 hyperdrive - in order to do this, the life support mechanisms had to be removed from the ring, and the power needed means that the ring's sublight engines no longer go above 30MGLT. Still, he considers it an acceptable trade-off, since the increased hyperspace speed means that the life support is generally no longer necessary, while the 30MGLT limitation on the engines is more than enough for the ring to ensure it remains in a stable orbit.

[beebox3=100%]Droid[/beebox3]

In order to help fly his starfighter, Senari has an M3-series utility droid, although it was heavily upgraded to bring it up to M8-level specifications; the droid's designation is M3-G4, which, due to Senari's understanding of leetspeak, has caused him to humorously dub the droid "Mega." He is expressly against giving M3-G4 any sort of memory wipe, and the personality the droid has developed has been to be a rather jocular one, viewing most things as a joke - however, it makes sure to do everything it can to keep Senari and his ship safe, especially when Senari isn't able to pilot the ship, meaning it's overcome the stereotypes for its general class of droid.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

Senari Gravis's early life is a fairly standard, "young man raised by Jedi" life story. Born on Taris, he was found by the Jedi right around the time that he was able to talk. His family (already having another child on the way and planning for more) willingly gave him over, and Senari was raised and taught on Tython. He wasn't really a star student for the Jedi Masters there, although he at least wasn't in the back of the class; he seemed perfectly content to barely skate by in almost everything. In recognition of this, he was apprenticed to a Master known for whipping some of the less-proficient Padawans into shape.

A little under a decade later, at twenty, Senari Gravis passed his Jedi trials perfectly well, his abilities having developed quite well under his master's watchful gaze and careful tutelage, and the Council was well pleased in their choice of master for the formerly-lazy initiate. From that point on, he fell into the routine of a fairly normal Jedi Knight, travelling around the galaxy, completing missions for the Council, generally being a good person, that sort of thing. Sometimes having a little too much to drink in local bars out on the outer rim, but overall he was a fairly standard Jedi.

After three years of this he was assigned a Padawan after that Padawan's master chose to join Jedi Lord Bau Zo's growing Jedi army, a sixteen year old Bith named Rigfin Scumis; for a short amount of time the pair carried out missions for the Jedi Council together, coming to develop a close fraternal bond during this time. However, the growing Sith threat - combatted as it was by Bau Zo, Sihkar Tarei, and then Vosrik Tanari at the head of the Jedi army - meant that they were constantly finding themselves in more danger than they should.

This all came to a head when Rigfin was eighteen, and he and Senari were sent on a mission to Eadu, giving aid to the planet's rural population in negotiating trade disputes with some large corporation that seemed to be ripping them off on the equipment they used. Unbeknownst to the Jedi council, said coporation was an ally of the Sith Brotherhood; it wasn't long after Senari and Rigfin arrived when things went south. The village where the negotiations were being held was ambushed by a force of Sith military and marauders, Senari and Rigfin finding themselves at the forefront of the battle, trying to protect the civillians as the majority of them ran and retreated, some few of them staying to help fight. In the midst of the retreat, one of the few Sith Marauders managed to catch up to Senari and Rigfin, managing to stick his lightsaber squarely through Rigfin's heart, before, in a blind rage, Senari killed the Sith and ran off with Rigfin's body, managing to get into the freighter they had been travelling in and get back to Tython.

After presiding over his Padawan's funeral, the Jedi Council - unwilling to throw Senari in further danger until he'd had time to heal from the experience - instead sent him on low-risk missions in the core systems; during this time, unknown to them, Senari had started to turn to alcohol, preferring the haze of drunkenness to clarity of mind and memory with it, with what all had happened, between the bombing of the temple on Tython, the schism between the overall Jedi Order and the Jedi Army, his Padawan's death, and his general disillusionment with the galaxy overall; his performance didn't suffer particularly much, which was how he managed to keep it hidden from the Jedi Council. It was on one such mission - being a glorified bodyguard for a diplomat on Caamas - that Tython itself was destroyed by the Sith Empire, leaving Senari with only two remaining choices, in his mind:

1. Join the Jedi Army
2. Drink more.

Naturally, he chose both.

Tel Ahren

[/beebox3]

Supern432JohNovakZeusRememberTheTitans.jpg

The Moff of Tion, Tel Ahren - now approaching his sixties - is a devoted member of the Sith Order, and has been so for nearly as long as he can remember. A native of the Tion Hegemony, Tel Ahren is a member of the ruling Noble House of Tion, and also carries on the militant tradition that has been held in the entire Tion Cluster for millenia - and it is through that brusque military nature, coupled with his trained facility with the Force and noble descent, that he maintains his grip on the world of Tion, and seeks to expand his rule further throughout the cluster.

[beebox3=100%]Appearance[/beebox3]
SpeciesGenderAgeHeightWeightHairEyesSkinForce Sensitive
HumanMale59 years6'2''167 PoundsGreying brown, medium lengthBlue (normal), Reddish-Yellow (accessing the Force)WhiteYes

latest

A near-sixty year old practitioner of the Dark Side, Tel's own affinity to the Force ensures that he looks his age. His face is lined, with prominent veins popping up along his temples; his face is rather pale, with his jawline accented by a short, but still mildly scruffy grey beard. His age is also further accentuated by the alternately fierce and severe expressions he normally displays, whereas a normal human's smile is unlikely to ever be seen on his face. His eyes are blue, though they change to a sickly reddish-yellow mix when he's actively using the Force.

He is fairly tall, and appears no more or less muscular than the average man. He dresses differently than most Sith - while they oftentimes favor robes, or while the moffs oftentimes favor a military officer's uniform, Tel (despite his generally militant manner) is most often found wearing a dark-coloured business suit, cut sharp to match his frame. When on the field of battle, however, he can be seen wearing a Legion officer's uniform or the Redoubt-series armour the stormtroopers wear, depending on what role he intends to take at the time

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Tel's strength is rather average for his size and apparent musculature - he's not incapable of dealing out heavy blows or carrying heavy loads, but strength training has never been his primary pursuit, leaving him no more or less strong than any other being like him. However, he is a very dextrous and precise individual, both outside of battle, able to move with speed and flexibility surprising for his age as well as possessing the fine motor control to work on the delicate circuitry of his lightsaber or blasters, and in battle, able to whirl his weapon around with tremendous celerity and accuracy. He also has the constitution to maintain such feats, with highly developed endurance and a high pain tolerance born of a lifetime of hard work and battle.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

The mental fields are where Tel's strengths really shine; he is a very intelligent man, especially in battle; oftentimes he takes on the role of a field general/tactician, able to lead a force of men to victory through careful planning and positioning, assuming he is given accurate information. He has also come to be a very perceptive and wise man as he has gotten older, having trained his gut to pick up on anything his logical brain might miss, as well as having a great store of experience in battle, as well as the philosophies of both battle and the Force. Lastly, his brusque nature might make him out not to be particularly charismatic, though his skills as a general/tactician and his authoritative and disciplined manner mean that highly-people-oriented charisma is not necessary - he's perfectly capable of motivating and leading his troops, blunt, brusque, and quiet as he may be.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

Tel is a very serious man, entirely focused and dedicated on whatever task he has set for himself; unlike some other politicians in the Sith Empire, he has no love for the political games that the Moffs and others will often try to play, and finds himself exasperated and annoyed with them and many other politicians quite often. This isn't to say he isn't capable of engaging in the same sort of actions, but to him, politics is another battlefield, where misdirection, careful flattery, and diplomacy are skills used to obtain favourable positions and ultimately win some form of battle, not a frivolous, childish game to be played. This carries over into his personal life - slightly less common than his perception as a powerful general and Moff is that of him being a near-tireless workaholic, never deviating from whatever duty he has or falling astray from the task he's working on to pursue some sort of pleasure activity. He is also not known for being particularly humorous whatsoever, presenting nothing but a stone slab of a face to people who try to joke around with him.

He is also an extremely calm person, with the sheer force of will to keep himself from lapsing into the rages that seem common in other Sith; while he feels the Dark Side and its urge to give into his animalistic instincts just as powerfully as every other Sith, his focus towards tactics and leadership, as opposed to simple barbarous battle raging, gave him reason to exert such powerful self control. This is also shown in how he generally carries himself, with a quiet and dignified confidence alongside his serious and severe demanour; on the rare occasion that somebody or something manages to break down his self control, the change that comes over him is so sudden and jarring that anybody who has seen him in such a state has said they found him "nearly unrecognizable."

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

While the Force was never Tel's main focus, his wish to remain a well-rounded combatant meant that he devoted some extra study to it later in life, bringing himself up to par for what he felt a proper Sith should be in the Force. He has faily general ability in all the various 'forms' of Force use, though he shines the most in telekinetics and energy manipulation; the reason for this being that the most directly-offensive powers can be found in those two schools of use, and Tel's main focus on Force use was in its offensive capabilities.

Tel is capable of many telekinetic feats. Pushes, pulls, simple waves, and even violent, spherical explosive pulses of energy emanating from his body have all been used to great effect (although the last power led to a building falling on him and the person he was trying to kill); he can also choke somebody with the Force, either near to him or light years away, assuming he has a direct video feed of them to focus on. Even more violently, he can almost-instantaneously crush numerous objects (and some annoying people, though this isn't as feasible in combat, when people are directly expecting such violent acts and are more prepared to immediately disrupt him from doing so), or lift them in the air and throw them around like ragdolls. More esoterically, he is capable of slowing a fall through the Force, or even using the Force to suspend himself in the air for a few moments.

In energy manipulation, Tel's abilities shine in the most recognizable Sith technique in existence - Force Lightning. Capable of producing the highly-energetic streams of energy from his fingertips, Tel has used the lightning to chastise more than one recalcitrant subordinant in his time, reducing them to charred husks of dead flesh when they manage to overcome his iron will and self control. He has also practiced with pyrokinesis, capable of bringing forth flame in his general area, as well as tutaminis and force barriers - though lightning remains, by far, his favourite.

[beebox3=75%]
The Lightsaber
[/beebox3]

Focusing on dexterity more than strength in battle, as well as well-rounded capabilities within battle, Tel was naturally drawn to Forms II and III of lightsaber combat, the offensive, precise Makashi and the quick and defensive Soresu. Over his years of practice he has attained a high level of mastery in both, with his skill favouring Makashi; however, he often melds the two form together in actual combat, using each to complement the other. This leads to him having a personal style of lightsaber combat that renders him nigh-impervious to either blaster fire or enemy blades, while he strikes back every opportunity he has with surgical precision.

However, should his self-control falter and he fall into a berserker rage in combat, he unconsciously falls back on the Form he learned first and that he has only average skill with: Form I, or Shii-cho; in this state he is still a force to be reckoned with, his own speed coupled with highly Force-strengthened blows leading into a powerful onslaught of blows that can chop any unsuspecting combatant into pieces, should they be surprised by the quick change.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Tel's primary role on the battlefield is that of a general or tactician; while he often finds himself in the middle of his own fights, he prefers to stay back and direct his men to victory, treating the battle almost as if it were a strategy game like dejarik. This has received him criticism, at times, when he often sends a contingent of troops to certain death in an untenable position, a distraction or sacrifice to ensure he gains some other advantage he can use...but nobody can deny that his tactics are effective, especially when he helped subjugate some of the less-content worlds in the Tion cluster some decades ago for the Sith.

Outside of battle, Tel is also a capable dipomat, albeit an unorthodox one, given his brusque and blunt personality; he is also known to be a good cook and a good driver/pilot, although his mechanical skills are nearly nonexistent. He knows enough to fix basic problems and to ensure his vehicles will never be effectively trapped against him, but he often has to rely on the Imperial Legion's mechanics to fix his things for him.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Tel has a fairly basic inventory. He has numerous sets of clothes, primarily well-cut business clothes/finery, and Imperial Legion military officer uniforms; he primarily wears the business clothes on a day to day basis, preferring to be passably well-dressed for every occasion. He also possesses multiple landspeeders, an Icarus-class Star Courier as his personal vessel, and a nice home on Tion.

Regarding armour, he has a fairly standard set of Redoubt-series shock trooper armour that he wears, the same as the stormtroopers he commands; the only difference is that, instead of having the gauntlet-mounted weaponry, is that he's replaced both vambraces with cortosis-lined plates, giving him a quick counter to a lightsaber should it prove necessary; on the left gauntlet/vambrace, he also installed an advanced communication module, that either stands alone or can tie into his helmet communications, giving him a broader range of comm channels to connect to, depending on who all he'll need to speak to; it also has a sound-recording function.

For weaponry, Tel often carries either an MST-R repeating blaster rifle into battle (with two extra fifty-round power packs, totalling 150 rounds of ammunition) or an R-8R battle rifle (with collapsible stock and shortened barrel), with an extra four power packs (totalling 100 total rounds of ammunition), for ranged capability; other than that, his main weapon is his lightsaber, with a simple hilt designed to be balanced well for either one-or-two-handed use, and a red blade.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

Born as one of the lower ranking members in the noble House of Tion (in actuality, born to one of the cadet branches), in the Tion Hegemony, Tel Ahren's life would've been one of simple comfort and wealth, had the Sith not been surrepetitiously regaining territory at the time. While it would still take time for the Tion cluster to fall under the then-Sith Brotherhood's control, agents of the Sith Order recognized the Force-sensitive young Tel rather quickly as they moved about within the cluster. It did not take long before he was taken as a child, given away by his own family as some sort of power ploy; however, unwilling to leave any problematic loose ends, other treacheries of Tel's family were made known, and the family was exterminated by the proper ruling house.

Thusly did Tel's life begin - he was apprenticed to a Sith Warrior soon after being brought into the order, spending the majority of his first twenty years of life under his master's watchful eye. During this time he learned the basics of the Force, as well as started developing his overall abilities in combat, especially with a lightsaber; he was also, however, educated as to his lineage, the history of the Tion cluster, and in tactics, how to conduct a war from the ground and in space to ensure victory; his master recognized both the boy's natural intelligence and the investment he represented, as a claim to legitimacy for the Sith to take control of the Tion cluster.

His apprenticeship passed relatively well, and at the age of 23 Tel was inducted into the Sith Order as a fully-trained warrior; his next few years were spent engaging in additional training with the Brothers and Commanders of the Sacred Band of Ziost, amassing his knowledge of warfare the entire while; before long he was sent out as a leader on numerous missions, small battles, and the like, leading the forces of the Sith military machine to victory throughout their area of the outer rim as they slowly brought their former empire back under their control, while still striving to maintain it as much a secret as possible from the slumbering Republic. During this time, he gained his initial reputation as a brilliant, if ruthless and uncaring tactician, intentionally sacrificing hundreds or thousands of expendable ground troops to secure a victory that would make a return on the blood payment the Sith Brotherhood had given that would more than make up for what was lost.

As the years passed, Tel's skills in war grew ever higher, even as he began receiving extra training in the field of diplomacy. The reason why soon became apparent when the Sith began their true forays into the Tion Cluster, seeking to bring the region under their control the same as they had done to every other world nearby; Tel, then already in his fifties as true war with the Republic and the Jedi loomed on the horizon, was the head of a highly-successful campaign in the area, under the blessing of the Supreme Leader of the time. Through careful diplomatic persuasion he swayed numerous worlds to his cause, utilizing his own heritage - easily proven through records that had been taken at his birth - and his knowledge of the cluster's history to stake his own claim of legitimate rule. It all came to a head on the world of Tion itself, where Tel's forces - greatly swelled compared to the initial numbers of troops he had come with - routed the forces of the House of Tion, the rulers of the Tion Hegemony; the living heads of the house were summarily executed, while a young puppet ruler was put upon the throne, and Tel himself installed as the military governor - soon to be called "Moff" - of the planet, with his influence felt throughout much of the rest of the Tion Hegemony. Tel's own diplomatic skills ensured that he would be met with a high level of true respect, rather than simply fear, plotting, and backstabbing; between his own noble birth and the militant traditions of the cluster (the original government of the region, of which the current rulers are the remnants, having been established by high successful pirates and privateers, who instituted such traditions), he has manged to make himself - and, by extension, the Sith Empire - be viewed as the rightful rulers of the cluster, while the decadent former rulers were rendered corrupt and no longer fit to rule - a view further exacerbated by the economic boom the cluster soon experienced under Sith control and Tel's careful management. For his efforts as both a general and a ruler, he was not only granted the position of Moff, but was also recently given the rank of Sith Immortal within the order.

[beebox3=100%]Roleplays[/beebox3]

TBA

Tel's Assets:

1. A Sith War Leviathan, named the ILS Imperator; this ship is Tel Ahren's flagship vessel, given that he no longer has command of a Star Destroyer. Of its 250 passengers, the ship carries 80 of them as a full company of Stormtroopers for ship-based security and possible boarding action combat.

NPCs for the Imperator:

CO (when Tel does not assume command): Garen Kalkat, human, male, 37 years old.
XO: Briuista (Full name: Abri'uis'talo), Chiss, female, 32 years old.
Chief Engineer: Ranneth Sar'lokka, Arkanian, male, 68 years old.
Helmsman: Fallea Alara, human, female, 24 years old.
Comm officer: Jaron Unskii, human, male, 25 years old.

Stormtrooper leader: Jaskov Cantore, human, male, 43 years old.

Flight chief: Hallach Gorten, Tionese human, 29 years old.

2. An Icarus-class Star Courier, named the ILS Existentiality; used as either Tel Ahren's personal shuttle, or as the Imperator's intra-fleet shuttle when engaged with a full fleet. Often crewed by Tel himself, or by his astromech droid - M8-T33 - or by Tel's personal pilot, Haran Bratthu, a 27-year-old human male from Corellia.

3. A large, three-story mansion and surrounding grounds (approx. 8 full acres of space), situated on one of the few islands that pops up out of Tion's largely-oceanic planet, aside from the main continent. This is Tel Ahren's private abode, with its own landing pad (capable of fitting up to four Icarus-class Star Couriers) on the opposite side of the island from the mansion and grounds; it is where Tel Ahren spends his time when he isn't being bothered with some of the daily runnings of Tion in its royal palace, and can instead focus on his other duties as a Sith and a Moff of the region.

Kallun Hart

[/beebox3]

tumblr-mn-yq-fayn-rlltobo-1259794018.jpg

Former apprentice of the now-dead Sith Immortal and Moff of Tion Tel Ahren, Kallun Hart is a Sith Assassin who has sworn revenge on the men who killed his former master, with their deaths being one of his primary goals...other than taking up the mantle that his master left behind for him, be it either by proving his worth to the empire or by killing anybody who seeks to take the planet of Tion for themselves.

While he is only thirty-seven years old, Kallun Hart has the appearance of a man who is approaching nearly ten years his senior, due to his long exposure to the Dark Side; practically raised within the Sith Order, he has never shyed away from the Force, embracing the otherwordly source of power with his entire being. While his generally good physical health helps keep him looking moderately youthful, his face is becoming more lined and rough than it needs to be, as his body is slowly poisoned by the same source from which he draws his power. In most of his body beyond his face, however, his form is still relatively lean, with a focus on building healthy musculature; Kallun Hart's body overall has yet to succumb to the worst effects of Dark Side corruption.

The picture above is the last that was taken of him before he took to hiding himself; currently he is working on a simple metal mask (image credit to violentevolution on deviantart), on the inside of which he has carved numerous ancient Sith runes, an ever-present reminder of the order he serves, and which he plans to wear when he fully abandons the identity of Kallun Hart.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Though he is possessed of a wiry and toned musculature due to simply attempting to remain healthy, Kallun's strength is nothing to write home about. He can lift no more than the average man and hit no harder than the average man. However, his dexterity shines through where his strength does not. He moves quickly and precisely, both on his feet and in battle; his movements have been compared to a dance, albeit a deadly one, and when he does strike, he does damage through his careful aim more than through his brute strength. However, this - coupled with his growing corruption from the Dark Side - have left him with a somewhat weak constitution; while he has the endurance to see a battle through to the end if he gets caught in one, he strives to avoid taking any hits, as he doesn't have the strength of body or will to sustain much damage and keep going - thankfully, his immune system and organ functions have yet to suffer from this ongoing metaphysical poisoning.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Owing to his studies and his dilligence in them, Kallun Hart is a very intelligent man; his ability to identity and rectify any problem that should come to him, coupled with the large amount of knowledge he has managed to keep stored away in his mind, all come together in a powerful set of mental skills that he can call to bear whenever needed. He is also fairly wise in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force, having practiced its abilities far more heavily than his martial skills, even up to today. However, he is, by no stretch of the word, charismatic; even among the few people he communicates with on a daily basis, he has garnered the reputation of a recluse and loner, with very little skill at public speaking or speaking to others in general. This is only further fueled by the paranoia he suffers through daily, leading up to the point that he chose to completely conceal his identity.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

At first glance, if ever he's seen outside of his usual mask and robes, Kallun Hart appears to be a simple, unassuming man, if a bit quiet. He can seem friendly enough when spoken to, gives off the semblance of being rather intelligent, although it's quite obvious he's a bit of a loner. Still, in such circumstances, he isn't impossible to talk to and hold a conversation with, assuming you're stubborn enough to stick by him.

However, this is all a simple dilution of the actuality of who Kallun is. He is far more than a simple loner - he actively strives to separate himself from all but the most necessary of beings for him to interact with, such that few among the Sith Empire have ever actually seen him, even masked as he is. This is fueled by a powerful sense of paranoia, which, while at one point a healthy development given the beings surrounding him, has long since passed into the realm of an unhealthy obsession with other's thoughts toward him, and his own sense of impending death, however right or wrong it may be. Aside from the ruling bodies of the Sith Empire, he is either exceedingly awkward or exceedingly abrasive in dealing with other beings - the Dark Council was the only group of beings he could interact with with any semblance of normalcy.

The other important aspect of Kallun's personality is the barely-bridled rage constantly brewing and boiling beneath his surface. Outwardly, he always appears fairly calm and collected; indeed, even his rage is of the cold and calculating sort, though when it takes hold it serves to transform him from whatever approximation of a man he is into a murderously obsessive, robotic semblance of a human being. Until such time as he comes out of his almost trance-like state of rage, the entirety of his focus will be levied against the object that threw him into such a state, as he seeks to remove it from existence by any means necessary. In recent years, he has managed to turn this into a tool of his own use, rather than it being some semi-random state he might find himself in.

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

Given that, even at the beginning of his training, Kallun Hart was weak of body and of a frail constitution at the time, his focus in his studies rapidly shifted to studying the Force, under the watchful eyes of his master. Over time he has developed a powerful familiarity in numerous areas of the Force, including such offensive techniques as the various forms of Telekinesis, Force lightning and other forms of energy manipulation, and similar abilities, there is one particular set of abilities that he uses extremely often, fitting into his reclusive nature.

Force Stealth is Kallun's most highly developed skill in the Force, stemming from an inherent natural talent in its use. He is capable of using it in both of its forms - he can either seemingly extinguish his presence in the Force, or, through extreme concentration, subvert it and make himself appear as a follower of the light...or he can turn this ability outwards as Force Camouflage, his physical form disappearing from view for so long as he can maintain his concentration on being hidden. He often uses this when striving to complete an objective, preferring to get in and out of an area without being seen...or to kill any opponent before they realize he is there.

Recently he has been wishing to start to learn Sith Magic and Alchemy, although he has yet to find a suitable teacher for himself.

[beebox3=75%]
The Lightsaber
[/beebox3]

Deeply attuned to the Force as he is, Kallun Hart nevertheless attempted to balance his studies in the Force with his studies of the blade; with a wish to be a well-rounded combatant should he need to use his lightsaber, he focused on studying two forms: The highly defensive Soresu, and the extremely aggressive Juyo. Soresu was his first form that he studied and more-or-less mastered, using it to keep himself safest in battle when his useage of the Force proved unable to suffice; however, he soon chose to study the seventh form, Juyo, feeling that his offensive capabilities were, in general, stifled. Given his adeptness in the latter form after some years of study, he has rapidly been blending both together into a personal style all his own, often confusing opponents with his sudden transition from the near perfect defense of Soresu into a direct, fast, and oftentimes reckless-appearing attack, taking advantage of a small second of perceived opening to launch an all-out offensive to end the fight as quickly as possible.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Similarly to his former master, Kallun Hart fancies himself a bit of a tactician; however, his focus is more on the planning and execution of stealthy actions, surreptitious raids and daring attacks, rather than on leading from the forefront in an all-out obvious war. Having been trained when the Sith Brotherhood was still the Sith Brotherhood and in hiding, he took well to the stealthy, assassin-like qualities of the order at large, versus the much more openly militaristic Empire. Due to this, he will rarely be seen at the forefront of a battle, or even in it - he leaves that to those more capable of leading in the middle of a battle.

Due to his moderately reclusive nature, as well as his more planning-oriented skills, he also does not consider himself much of a leader when on the battlefield - nor does anybody else. His diplomacy skills are lacking almost entirely when communicating with anybody other than his fellow Sith, and he is a notoriously poor cook.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

One of the most noticeable pieces of technology Kallun Hart owns, though doesn't yet wear, is his mask/helmet, which he has been constructing in anticipation of abandoning the identity of Kallun Hart entirely. Constructed using the same technology found in the helmets of the Redoubt-series armour, this mask has all the same capabilities, only with a different appearance. It goes along well, however, with his armoured robes (beneath the large outer robe, he wears phrik bracers, as well as durasteel shin guards, a set of lamellar durasteel bands to protect his abdomen as well as still affording him high levels of movement, and a simple durasteel cuirass above the bands), hooking into the body glove he wears beneath them to provide an airtight seal, if needed.

His primary lightsaber is of a relatively simple design, meant to be a utilitarian and useful weapon, rather than some strange work of art to be displayed and never used. Aside from that weapon, he also has Tel Ahren's lightsaber, granted to him after the man's death.

Aside from these, in taking up the position as Moff of Tion, Kallun Hart has also inherited all of the previous Moff's holdings, including his ships, personnel, and abode on the planet.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

Kallun Hart was born to one of the upper class families of the Tion Hegemony, although not one based on Tion itself; his family was, however, allied to the Sith in secret, such that when Tel Ahren came through to conquer the region, his family was one of the first that properly joined him. It was during some meetings with soon-to-be Moff Ahren that Kallun's Force Sensitivity was discovered by the Sith general, who took Kallun as his apprentice. Sadly, while Kallun's family was perfectly willing to be allied with the Sith, they were unwilling to give up their heir to the Order; when diplomacy failed, Tel Ahren had the family executed and their holdings merged into the overall Sith war machine.

Such was Kallun's entrance to the Sith Order, at the age of seven years; after his induction was reported back to Korriban, Tel Ahren began his training in full, nursing his resentment of the elder Sith in order to ensure he quickly grew in power. As the years passed and Kallun was groomed to be not only Tel's apprentice but also his heir, he came to find a new respect for the Sith Immortal, with Moff Ahren becoming one of the few beings to whom Kallun could speak freely and clearly, an unprecedented (for Sith) level of trust having grown between them through the years.

Tel trained Kallun in numerous respects, including in the fields of tactics and logistics, similar to how he had learned; however, the both of them realized rather quickly that Kallun's talents weren't in active battle command, but more in planning and careful execution of small, surgical strikes, battle command being left to the generals and others more adept for that sort of thing. Taking note also of Kallun's then-exceedingly-frail physique, and the boy's natural stealthiness, Tel trained him to use Soresu as his lightsaber form, and taught him to rely on the Force and its abilities to supplement where his body failed him...and to enhance his abilities to hide himself; over time, Kallun started to be formed into a near-perfect assassin of the Sith.

Around the age of twenty-one, Kallun became a full-fledged Sith in his own right, being released from Tel Ahren's household into the wider galaxy. He first stopped at Korriban, shoring up his training in areas he felt that Tel might have been lacking, especially in the usage of the Force; afterwards, he used his abilities as an assassin to eleminate seditious elements within the Sith Brotherhood, including Sacred Band members or even those of the Sith Order - almost entirely due to assignments taken on by his own whim. One of the things he regrets is that he wasn't able to take the lives of Bau Zo or Sihkar Tarei himself, although he still searches for Bau Zo every so often.

When Corvo Vis left the Sith Order and started acting against them, he became one of Kallun's many targets; it was during this time when he first started to focus on learning Juyo, knowing that he would need it if he ever was able to confront the former Supreme Leader. As time has passed and his nearly-ceaseless study of the form has progressed, he has rapidly become a proficient combatant in it as well. However, most of this time period was fairly uneventful for him.

Until the day that the Moff Council was bombed, with his former master - Tel Ahren - being among those killed in the blast. That was the day that Kallun Hart - long since having disappeared from the public eye, even in the Sith Empire - swore that he would seek revenge against Corvo Vis, whose visage was shown again claiming credit for the attack, and against whoever the inside element was that allowed it to occur, once he should learn who they were. Given his current lower rank, he was barred from being able to claim his inheritance of Tel Ahren's holdings, so instead, he decided he would focus on completing objectives for the Empire, such that he could claim his rightful position of Moff of Tion...and should it prove possible, the title of Darth.

Cotan Sar'andor

[/beebox3]

latest

A Warrior-Marshal of the Paladins of Mortis, Cotan Sar'andor has been a devoted servant of the Paladins and of the Force for decades. Previously having served in the last war against the Blackguard when first a squire, and then a full Knight, his actions during that time won him regard, although amongst some of the older and more conservative nobles, his refusal to take the mantle of Grand Master for himself was a mark of shame, rather than humility. However, his service has still been greatly noted through the years, with his rightfully-earned advancement to that of Warrior-Marshal, also earning himself the societal place of Lord Sar'andor.

Though he is still strong of body, Cotan Sar'andor's growing age is obviously evident in his featurers. His face is lined and wrinkled, showing how it has weathered the deterioration of years of service in battle. His hair has long since grown white, and every year he finds he has less of it remaining on his head. His eyes are still as bright and perceptive as ever, however, the one part of him that still seems moderately youthful as his age continues to advance.

[beebox3=100%]Attributes[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
Physical
[/beebox3]

Devoted to the ideals of warriorship within the Paladins, Cotan's body has been hardened through years of training and service both, remaining healthy and powerful even in old age. His strength and dexterity are nothing to scoff at, with Cotan still able to hold his own against men half his age and younger; he has the strength to batter down a wall, if necessary, or to move comfortably while ensconced in his armour, and he has the dexterity to accurately guide his blade in any battle. However, even with the sustaining capabilities of the Force, his constitution is suffering as he gets older, as he finds that he doesn't have the endurance of a younger man, compared to his strength, speed, and flexibility.

[beebox3=75%]
Mental
[/beebox3]

Cotan is an intelligent man, who is well-read in all that the Mortisite's libraries had to offer him; owing to his martial bent, much of that knowledge is in the realm of battle, though not all. He is also a wise scholar of the Paladin's ways, well schooled in his beliefs and with the understanding of all of it and how it relates to the wider Force to match. He is moderately charismatic, in the sense that he neither draws people to him nor drives them away...and those who know him best are more likely to find his actions and speeches rousing than those who don't know him at all.

[beebox3=100%]Personality[/beebox3]

First and foremost, Cotan is a task-oriented man, a trait that served him well in the last war the Paladins found themselves in; he has little patience for anything he views as a waste of time, and indeed for those actions and people he sees as wasting his time. Since the Mortisites had to return to the larger galaxy, he has been at the forefront of their movements to try and find a new home, as well as one of their staunchest protectors. His view of his role is not that of a man who lords himself over others or should command them, but as a guardian of everybody around him, and he conducts himself as such - unlike some other Paladins or Lords, he is neither haughty nor arrogant, but is a humble man who tries to remain in touch with the commoners and all others beneath him.

His demeanour towards most of those who serve under him - or who are even simply younger than him, even if they are at the same station or higher - is fatherly, although still possessing of all the stern seriousness that underlies most of his actions and interactions. He is also outspoken, entirely willing to voice his opinion to his superiors if he feels it necessary, regardless of whether or not they ask for it; as well, he does not (nor has he ever) feel any trepidation towards cowing the nobility of the Mortisites, given that he knows full well just how conniving and duplicitous they can be, even if at heart he still thinks most of them are good people; while this earned him ire as a younger Knight, now that he is both a Warrior-Marshal and counted as a Lord amongst them he garners respect, rather than anger.

[beebox3=100%]Abilities and Skills[/beebox3]

[beebox3=75%]
The Force
[/beebox3]

While he is sensitive to the Force, Cotan's training with it has never gone beyond ensuring he had a masterful grasp of the core basics. Using the Force, he can augment his reflexes, strength, and speed to levels beyond that of any base human, and can also rely on it to supplement some of his decreasing physical endurance; his senses are advanced, he rarely needs to ever fully sleep, simple meditation sufficing; his offensive abilities are entirely limited to telekinetics, able to lift and throw large objects (or people), as well as pushing and yanking his enemies about with an invisible, and yet all-too-tangible manifestation of his will.

[beebox3=75%]
The Lightsaber
[/beebox3]

Given his prominent service on the front lines of the last conflict against the Blackguard, Cotan saw fit to cultivate his skills most with what he feels are the most perfectly offensive and perfectly defensive forms, those being Makashi and Soresu. Makashi's elegant approach to combat, as well as its focus on blade vs. blade, Forceful vs. Forceful, appealed to him greatly as a squire, as did the almost impenetrable defense of Soresu. He focused on training in the both of them, supplemented by his master where it was possible; now, in his advancing age, he is one of the Paladins' premier masters of both forms, having devoted his entire life to their study.

[beebox3=75%]
The Mundane
[/beebox3]

Cotan is also skilled in more basic, non-Force reliant sword combat, receiving training in the useage of a longsword after he received his songsteel weapon; he often blends this, somewhat, into his lightsaber combat as well. He is an able pilot, although he generally prefers being on the ground over being in a ship, and he has wholly given up on ever being an able user of computers, although he gets by passably well on his datapad - in general, he thinks that technology isn't really his thing. In his youth, he was considered to be a smooth talker with women...and in his older age, he still is, although he rarely has the free time to practice that skill.

[beebox3=100%]Inventory[/beebox3]

Fitting his role as a warrior-monk of sorts in the Paladins of Mortis, Cotan has few worldly possessions. He has a simple set of heavy armour, moderately similar to the CCT armour worn by many Mandalorians in functionality, though without any semblance of a HUD and looking far different; he has a songsteel vibro-longsword, first given to him when he was Knighted, and that he used to great effect in the war against the Blackguard; he has his clothes and robes, as well as a few sets of finery for when they are needed. He also has a functional datapad, which is one of the few articles of technology he is good at using.

His prized possession, however, is his lightsaber, granted to him when he reached the rank of Marshal; this weapon was the weapon of his former master, who had been a well-respected Warrior-Marshal in his own right until his death in the war against the Blackguard. Its design is somewhat different from the crossguard sabers used by the rest of the order, with only a single quillon at 45 degrees off from the main blade, and a curved hilt; the emitter casing, in a secret modification done years ago that Cotan only recently noticed, is made of songsteel itself, giving a lightsaber-resistant construction and allowing the quillon to actually be used as such. While it is somewhat different from the lightsabers common to the rest of the Paladins, it is, however, perfectly suited to Cotan's useage.

[beebox3=100%]Biography[/beebox3]

Born as a commoner among the Mortisites, some of Cotan's earliest memories were of helping his family on their farm; the noble who owned the land they lived on was a strict, but kindly man, who got along well with his servants, and generally always treated Cotan well - when he noticed the first stirrings of Cotan's Force Sensitivity, then, he immediately contacted the Paladins, informing them of the boy. They quickly came, and Cotan's family willingly surrendered him to the Paladins, who began training him as a warrior of the Force, the Knight he was squired to being a master of the blade first and foremost. In fact, it didn't take Cotan long at all to grasp the basics of being a Paladin, nor to go and study the writings on his own to better understand the order's views (or formulate his own).

In due time, his period as a squire was completed, Cotan taking on the arms and armour of a full knight of the Paladins, being granted a songsteel vibro-longsword for his use. His master, meanwhile, having already trained numerous squires to Knighthood, was advanced to the rank of Marshal, receiving the same lightsaber that Cotan uses now. After that point, Cotan took to his duties as a Knight, which normally involved settling the squabbles between some of the Lords of the Mortisites; during this time, he gained his reputation for taking a very no-nonsense attitude towards the nobility, though (as a Knight) he was granted only the title of Knight and the social rank of a Baronetcy.

In his later years of being a Knight - after having never taken a Squire, considering himself not much of a teacher - Cotan was presented with a different way in which to prove his worth to the Paladins, when the Blackguard rose again. While he did not entirely villify the Son - unlike the other members of the modern Paladins - he also knew that the Blackguard was a threat that couldn't be allowed to stand, so he placed himself at the forefront of the actions against them. While overall the war went badly, Cotan was one of the leaders of the Knights to be met with success, including the reclamation of his home planet from the Blackguard - after the original Lord of the area died, his son, who was secretly a member of the Blackguard cult, took control of the planet, and was one of many to openly declare their allegiance when the Blackguard's resurgence was full. Cotan had been one of the ground leaders of the conflict, personally directing the Paladins to victory against the rogue Lord's forces and executing the man himself.

Not long afterwards, shortly before the Battle of Nihir, Cotan executed a daring personal raid into the heart of Blackguard territory, reclaiming a valuable cache of kyber crystals and fully-constructed lightsabers that had been taken by the Blackguard; it was an action that earned him renown amongst the remaining Lords and Paladins both, as he had managed to do so before the Blackguard had any opportunity to corrupt the crystals or the weapons to their purposes, and it ensured that future members of the Paladins would be able to carry the highest symbol of rank in their order. He participated at the Battle of Nihir after that, losing his former master during the battle; upon seeing the man cut down Cotan retrieved his lightsaber, using it in the remainder of the ground battle against the Blackguard, and coming to learn of the hidden modification to the emitter structure when it narrowly saved his life after a poor parry.

After the battle was won - and in recognition for his contributions during the war - Cotan was elevated to the rank of Warrior-Marshal of the Paladins; the few remaining Lords also recognized him, conferring upon him the title that had belonged to the man in control of his home planet, making him Lord Sar'andor amongst them and garnering him newfound respect in their eyes. Some few of them wished for him to take on the position of Grand Master, owing to his experience, but he refused as a mark of humility - as he would put it, "The position of Grand Master is not one for a simple warrior such as myself." Instead, he served the woman who took on the position faithfully, in the goal of finding a new home for the Paladins and what few of the Mortisites survived the fighting.

Aral'gor'enuodo

Imperial Legion ◇ 21 ◇ Chiss Male ◇ 5'11" ◇ 154lbs

  • Physical Description
    [beebox3=80%]
