DESCRIPTION
The HH-87 starhopper is a class of ultra-light starfighter originally produced by MandalMotors prior to and during the Clone Wars. Meant to fill the same market niche as the later Pinook, that of a simple, marginally armed "sporting" craft which would be easier to own and license than a proper starfighter, the HH-87 was popular with pirates, gangsters, bounty hunters and paramilitary groups, who could purchase large numbers of them without drawing suspicion. They were notably favored by the Hutt Cartel during the fall of the Republic.

The HH-87 is a simple craft. Measuring 6.8 meters in length, the ship is operate by a single pilot, with 2 days worth of consumables, a top speed of 90 MGLT and a class 4 hyperdrive. Cargo capacity is 15 kilograms. The craft is un-shielded, although it is armed with a pair of light double-barrel laser cannons. Notably, the ship's wings fold vertically upon landing, giving the HH-87 a compact profile.

The HH-87 is a very old design, and is no longer produced, although it can still be found in some of the Galaxy's backrocket regions.

LEGALITY
Legal. HH-87s are legally classified as starhoppers, and are only subject to civilian licensing requirements.

INTENT
To bring a vessel from Canon into our site's fanon.
