Hi

I'm newish to PBP in general and was disappointed when recently a d20 Star Wars game fell through. I didn't want my character to die out, so I was hoping to salvage her. I was hoping to find out whether you use the d20 rules, either edition or is it something else completely?

This is what is known as freeform roleplaying. There are absolutely no dice or game mechanics involved. It's all about the quality of your writing. There are rules, of course, which mostly apply to PvP and the usual stuff like not metagaming or whatnot, but this is nothing like what you'd get out of a tabletop RPG. It is roleplaying, but there are no game mechanics to guide you through things. It's more just about writing and working together with other roleplayers to make fun and interesting stories.

Yep, as Sapphire said you pretty much write your stories however you want and with whoever you want as long as it's within the rules (note that, as is stated on them, they are outdated and will be likely updated soon). You can also probably find some helpful stuff here. Also, if you've noticed, the site is on the cusp of starting a new timeline, which will come with rule changes, new story and setting, and countless more things so keep an eye out for that. You can learn more about the new timeline from the announcements here.
Anyway, welcome to the site! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
