Hello everyone, I'm new here and also relatively new to RP'ing. This site looks like a fairly 'chilled out' place to be..
I've already received some help (and god knows I need it ;) )

The only thing I'm still slightly unclear on is how to find source material for this timeline.. Or is this particular timeline not featured in any books that are out at the moment? (because it's clearly set well after KOTOR, which I loved). Or is it some kind of AU, or maybe part-canon, part AU? OK, now I'm even confusing myself, lol.

Anyway, here's my character, feel free to pick holes in him.. ;)

it set in its only time line. Think old republic, meets KOTOR meets Bane. Time line wise this is the second last conflict between the sith and the republic, the last being the one where Bane starts the rule of 2 and Pax republic starts. Of course if the sith win then this is the third last conflict.

But either way its about 1000 years before episode 1. We creating most of this times lore and tech but in the feel of the general star wars theme

SOB nailed the timeline period answer. Think Dawn of The Republic as set over 1,000 years before SW Episode 1 (in the waning times of the Old Republic).
