It was time to gain more allies.

And who best to invest in greater risks than someone who invested in risks on a regular basis? There was one such person she met, so long ago. She was a different person then... everything was so complicated then. It was no less complicated then than it was now, but things were so much clearer now. She waited with a wineglass by her elbow; a private game of sabacc, laid out. A single credit chip sat by her elbow, a high-stakes gamble.

The voices of so many on the other side of the curtain was of no import in this private lounge. She waited, sheathed in a long black dress, white hair left down to flow freely over her shoulders.

Considering the stakes he'd possibly gain, like last time, he was bound to appear sooner rather than later. But keeping her waiting was not the wisest course.

Jack Seypka would be dawning his usual attire. A button up long sleeve with cufflinks on either end. Followed by a pin vest pressed underneath a long jacket accompanied by a pocket watch that hung from his breast pocket. Jack was doing what he done best as usual. Running games, both legally and illegally on a smaller scale than what he would like. His hair was cut short and shaved on both ends with a high fade but his jawline was sharp and his cold blue eyes forever in thought. He caught wind of Dr Morata back around these parts and was making a show. It seemed it was her fancy way of attracting Jack to her for a game. Never the less, Jack never turned down a game, especially if it was going to be a interesting one. Making his way through the hustle and bustle of the main floor as he shook hands with many familiar faces and approached the black curtains that separated the floor to the private lounge.

His free hand swung the curtain to the side as he entered the lounge. His other hand reaching into his pocket and pulling out his metal case of rolled cigarras that he always kept on him. Retrieving one and snapping the case shut before tapping the end of the cigarra in to pack the tobacco. Rubbing the end on his lips as he lit it and his blue eyes focused on the Morata. His stone cold face with his smoke hanging out the side as he took a inhale before a cheeky smirk came across him..

"Now what do I owe the pleasure for having Dr Morata visit me?"

The smoke exhaling through his nose as he took a seat on the opposite side of her. The last time they played he won a substantial amount of money from her and her boyfriend or so he thought it was long ago. Now it seemed she made a reappearance and by the looks of that chip..Another game to play.

Amber eyes tracked him up and down calmly. It hadn't felt like that long ago she met with the gambler; back then, he had money, sure, but he was still somewhat less successful than she had anticipated. Perhaps some gambles never panned out. She had quit cigaras a small time ago, but now and then she considered one.

"Jack, it's been too long," she nodded to the man, dealing out herself for the first round. "Thank you for coming. The last time we met, in fact, left quite a memory for me. So I'm here to offer you a deal. Lay out your chips, I'll lay out mine. See where we meet."

Cold, simple, and to the point. She wasn't going to waste time on pleasantries or small talk, she was here to win or lose, and yet it was a game she learned to play well.

Jack Sepyka would smirk softly at her comment. She was quick and straight to the point. No bullcrap. He relaxed his figure in the chair across from her as he took another inhale of his cigarra. She was looking right through him with the notion of business and self gain. He would only stare right back with his blue eyes when she spoke with the same expression. He would slowly exhale the smoke out of his nose as he focused on her and not the cards she was dealing out. "I'm nothing but a open book Dr." he would say coyly. "My chips have been laid out since we first met." he would lift his arms slightly and look around him as if this was a extension of himself. "I'm a simple lover of a game and businessman. ". As he finished his sentence a young female Twi'lek waiter would enter and offer them both a drink. "Mr Seypka, would you and your guest like a drink?"

Nodding as he would tap his cigarra off the glass ash tray on the side. The flickering of multiple Hologram Tv's and sports would be in the mirror of the glass as the burnt embers of the cigarra would fizzle out and smoke for a second before being extinguished after his tap. "Coreillian Whiskey, straight on the rocks." he would nod to her before turning to Morata "Anything you fancy Dr Morata?" he would take another inhale of his cigarra before glancing at his newly dealt hand of cards. Looking down at them with his eyes as if he was reading a book beforely calmingly adding "Tell me your offer." It seemed she wanted to get straight to the point and ol Jackie boy already had the cog machine in his head rolling with his next strategic move.

Thank goodness he wasn't the type to cling to the notion of the long-drawn conversation, dancing with small talk. If he had a keen mind for bets, he had a keen mind for other things as well. She wouldn't put it beyond the Scoundrel to have a sharp mind for something else with risks, but also rewarded those with a patient mind. At the vision of the Twi'lek, however, she paused, glancing up to the woman with sharp amber eyes.

"Corellian red, thank you," she replied crisply, not bothering to mince words. Some might have seen it as rude; she saw it as economical of everyone's time.

"I'm beginning my own medical research and supply company," she replied quietly, glancing to her own cards as well. "Part of handling a business is keeping an eye on stocks and shares; not only with handling other companies, but with handling distribution, managing finances... playing with the market is best made with someone with a keen mind for risk and reward, is it not?" she queried, in an almost innocent tone. However, amber eyes raked his features, her own remote, unreadable.

A mask would have shown more emotion.

Jack Sepyka would slowly reach down and calmly without a sliver of expression and throw down a couple credits and raised the bet a thousand credits. His eyes looking down focused on the task at hand but his surroundings he was always wryly keeping a lookout. He went into a different mode when it came to the game. It was more business than pleasure when he sat down behind the table. Everything slowed down, the clicking of ones nails on the surface of the game table. The swishing of liquid in the drinks. As if he was just nothing but being the center of the moment he was living in. Finishing off his cigarra before he would retrieve another one out of his metal case.

Giving it a light and taking a inhale as he finally spoke after his exhale. Piercing blue eyes locked on the cards. "Oh." his tone was with a tinge of interest and intrigued. Shifting his gaze up finally and reaching for his whiskey as the Tw'ilek returned with their order and passed them down to their sides. Taking a straight shot of it without a flinch as he finally added. "Those who reap the reward..better understand the pain of the risk." He looked at her as he said it with his smirk. She knew it among many others who dabbled in success. Whatever it takes, no matter the body count that you stand upon who got in your way.

Jack would lean back before reaching over to tap his cigarra off the glass tray. "Where have you set up your lab?" his tone still the same. He could've asked a hundred questions, the financial backing/investors, tables. But he knew she wasn't stupid and had everything lined up. Only thing he needed to know was the product and money.

She didn't even blink at the credit increase, but instead glanced at her own hand, head tilted slightly. This was his world, they both knew, but she wasn't playing to win this, necessarily. This was extraneous, an extra effort to be at his own domain and show her own appreciation of his strengths and gifts. Surely, she could have requested meeting at a bar or a business room, and though he would be calm and collected... this was far more interesting for them both.

She took a sip of wine first before replying immediately. He hadn't bitten yet; time to add to the deal a little more.

She dropped a thousand of her own, watching his expression carefully.

"Currently mobile, but we'll be expanding on greater ships and a planet agreement shortly," she responded, amber eyes flicking back to her hand, then back to his expression.

"How bold are you feeling then, Jack?"

Jack Seypka would glance at his hand before finally taking a drag of his cigarra. His eyes were gazing through the cards in his own mind before the words of the Dr woke him up from his focus. "Sounds promising." his words were short and sweet as he always was. Taking a long drag of his cigarra he would let the taste of the tobacco roll on his tongue before inhaling it and finally releasing it back out his nose. She threw her money around like it was no big deal. Almost as if she could be a doppleganger of Jack himself in the game.

His eyes would lock with hers as she finally asked him the question. A slight smug across his lips as he reached over and took a mouthful of his whiskey before setting the glass down. His face monotone with a weird smirk as the well suited man finally gave her the response she desired. "Bold." It was like a game or a dance between the pair. The need of their strengths but the power of their wit to not say exactly what they are seeking for. Credits, power, it never mattered. Both parties would gain from this no matter.

Jack shifted his weight before finally tossing in the cards and all his coin to the middle of the table. The cigarra pursed hanging off his lips "in fact.." he added. "I'm all in." his twist of words to match her question. That should be the answer enough.[

She gave a rare, wry smile, amber eyes gleaming in the low light.

"Excellent."

She revealed her hand. Negatives, but since he caved in the credits were hers. However.

In place of them there was a simple datastick.

"Coruscant, at 7. I'll comm you the time and place later on. But for now... within outlines your contract, terms, and agreements. Bring it with you, and if you have any questions..."

Another mysterious smile, and a holocard set down.

"Call me."

Simple, short, direct. She walked out, anticipating the gamble ahead. You either played hard or you burned down in a fiery glory. In this galaxy, there was no in between.
