Drexls, colloquially known as warbeasts, are imposing winged reptilian-avian creatures indigenous to Dxun. These reptoavians boast heavily muscled bodies adorned with purple scales, demonstrating an imposing stature reminiscent of the legendary krayt dragon when fully matured. Their unique biological cycle and the peculiar orbit of Dxun in relation to Onderon have allowed them to migrate and establish a formidable presence on the planet.

__B E H A V I O R

Drexls are apex predators, known for their highly territorial tendencies. Their aggressive demeanor means they vigorously defend their territories against intruders. Taming a single drexl is an intricate process, typically demanding the synchronized efforts of three riders. One rider would maintain control using the reins, a second would be armed, and a third would relay orders. Intriguingly, many drexls exhibit an immunity to the Force's influence, resisting subjugation, as experienced firsthand by Sith Lord Darth Bane.

__B I O L O G Y

Drexls undergo a fascinating metamorphosis, evolving through three distinct life stages: larva, juvenile, and adult, each showcasing its own unique traits and behaviors.

ZoWipHI.png
LARVA

Drexls commence their life journey in a larval form, standing an impressive 3 meters tall. Void of wings at this phase, they exhibit a fiercely aggressive nature. Their morphology is somewhat humanoid, possessing two legs and arms equipped with three-fingered, clawed hands. A tail and three distinct rows of spines line their back. Contrasting with the adult form, the skin of many larvae is bright green.

JUVENILE

As drexls transition to the juvenile stage, they begin to exhibit the features of their mature counterparts. The wings start to form, preparing them for their later aerial journeys. They remain under the watchful eye of their mother, but are far from defenseless even when flightless.

ADULT

At full maturity, drexls evolve into awe-inspiring creatures with wingspans up to 20 meters, especially in males. Their slender necks uphold small heads with short, wide snouts, and their mouths bristle with menacing fangs - the largest rivaling the length of a Human arm. These creatures, now endowed with 10 horns, have flat, wedge-shaped heads, two stubby arms, and long tails capped with a barbed stinger.

__H I S T O R Y

In the archaic periods of Onderon's chronicle, drexls were the harbingers of dread. Their predatorial pursuits terrorized the nascent Onderonian settlements, ultimately catalyzing the construction of the fortified city of Iziz. This city emerged as the solitary haven on the planet, shielded against the drexl threat.

The Onderonian outcasts, later dubbed the Beast Riders, managed to domesticate drexls as their aerial steeds. These creatures, bearing immense power and size, played pivotal roles in significant events. A drexl larva, for instance, was instrumental in General Vaklu's insurrection against Onderon, employed to breach the shielded sanctum of Queen Talia's throne room.

Darth Bane's encounter with a drexl on Dxun was emblematic of their potency. After an initial failed attempt to subdue a drexl with the Force, he eventually succeeded and traversed from Dxun to Onderon astride its back. Upon arrival, his superior drexl effortlessly overpowered the Beast Riders that threatened his apprentice, Darth Zannah.

Despite their fearsome reputation, there are sparse accounts of Onderonians training drexls as warbeasts. The danger associated with these creatures discourages their domestication. A noteworthy exception was Rámalócë, a warbeast gifted by the Talarnor in a political maneuver to House Vaklu. Upon the unification of the feuding royal houses, Rámalócë was entrusted to Praedyth II, who wielded its power in the climactic Battle of Onderon.

In the luminescent glow of the Crescent Royale Casino, Zorya navigated her way through the crowd, her eyes drawn back to the sabacc tables. Her intent was not to gamble but to delve into the intricacies of the game, seeking to understand its allure and the psychological warfare that unfolded with each card drawn. Her approach was methodical, her gaze analyzing the players, their strategies, and the ebb and flow of fortune that dictated the game's rhythm.

A nearby alien, intrigued by Zorya's intense scrutiny, leaned over. "New to sabacc, huh?" it queried in a voice tinged with amusement. "It's all about keeping your cards close and your emotions closer. The goal's to hit 23 or as near as possible without busting. Watch the shift. Cards change values. That's where the real skill lies." Zorya's eyes flickered with understanding, absorbing the explanation while her mind calculated the myriad possibilities such a game presented.

As the current game concluded, the dealer, noticing her interest, gestured to an empty chair. "Care to join the next round?" he asked, shuffling the deck with practiced ease. Zorya nodded, her silence an enigmatic response as she gracefully took the offered seat. She placed her hands on the table, feeling the subtle vibrations of excitement and trepidation that permeated the air.

As she awaited the arrival of other players, Zorya's attention was momentarily diverted by the presence of a young Mandalorian attempting to blend into the background. Her Sith senses detected a distinct energy surrounding the individual, a fiery determination masked by a veneer of nonchalance. The Mandalorian's focus was not on the game but on something far more intangible.

YUME, the Dreamweaver
15 · Human/Atrisian · Sith Acolyte

Yume was a unique and rather unorthodox figure within the ranks of the Sith, known for her distinctive affinity with the Force that allowed her to delve into and manipulate the dreams and nightmares of others. Born into the galaxy in an era when the dark side's influence ebbed and flowed like the tides of the Force itself, Yume's talents emerged at a young age, marking her as a singular entity among her peers and superiors alike.

From the outset, Yume's demeanor set her apart from the typical Sith acolyte. Notoriously lazy and often found in a state of near-perpetual drowsiness, her behavior belied the depth of her connection to the dark side. It was in the realm of dreams that Yume's true power manifested, a domain where the physical exertions demanded of her fellow Sith were irrelevant. Here, she wielded her abilities with a finesse and strength that contrasted sharply with her waking lethargy.

Yume's mastery over dreams allowed her to sow seeds of fear among her enemies, turning their own subconscious against them with nightmares of such vivid terror that they could break even the most resilient of wills. Conversely, she could manipulate the dreams of those she sought to control, weaving illusions of grandeur or false security to bend their perceptions to her will.

Despite her evident utility, Yume's path was not without its challenges. Her unusual focus on the manipulation of dreams occasionally drew skepticism and scorn from those who valued physical strength and martial prowess above all. Moreover, the very nature of her powers required a delicate balance, as delving too deeply into the dreamscape risked losing herself in the very nightmares she sought to control.

Biography

Born amidst the chaos of the ongoing battles for control over Denon, Takhar emerged into a galaxy fraught with conflict and destruction. A product of two worlds—Human and Tiefling—Takhar's lineage imbues him with unique characteristics from both. His early life was marked by absence and loss, having never known his parents, leaving him to fend for himself in the war-torn streets of Denon's dense urban landscapes.

Takhar's survival was contingent upon his quick wits and agility, skills honed through years of navigating the underworld's precarious and often lethal pathways. His Tiefling heritage, characterized by curved horns, frequently made him a target for prejudice and exclusion. Despite this, Takhar's human half enabled him to pass in crowds more easily than full Tieflings, a duality that he learned to manipulate to his advantage.

Takhar stood alone, cloaked in the dim light of fading neon signs, each one flickering in the perpetual twilight that clung to the cityscape like a shroud. The air was thick with the scent of oil and charred circuitry, a constant reminder of the mechanical heart that pumped life into this den of thieves and rogues. Beneath him, the durasteel plating of the spaceport throbbed with the vibrations of departing and arriving ships, a cacophony of promise and opportunity.

He moved silently among the shadows, his form barely a whisper against the chaos of the port. His anmber eyes scanned the bustling area, analyzing each vessel's make and probable destination. He sought not the grandest nor the most decrepit, but one that whispered of distant horizons and uncharted space lanes—the kind of ship that could carry him far from the suffocating grasp of Nar Shaddaa.

Every sense was heightened, attuned to the movements around him. The taste of the air was metallic, tinged with a hint of adrenaline that fueled his careful deliberations. His ears picked up the disjointed symphony of alien languages, the clatter of cargo being loaded, and the occasional heated barter over illicit goods.

As he edged closer to a mid-sized freighter, marked less by insignia and more by the wear of deep space travel, his teeth gritted in determination. This ship looked like it could be bound for the Outer Rim, perhaps even beyond. It was perfect, barely guarded and laden with supplies that suggested a long voyage.

Stepping off the boat and into the vibrant hustle of Slateport City, Gandor was immediately enveloped in the lively atmosphere of the market. The air was a rich blend of salty sea breeze and the enticing aromas of exotic spices and fresh produce. Vendors, each more animated than the last, competed for his attention, showcasing an array of goods that ranged from the mundane to the exotic.

Amid the lively chaos, Gandor's attention was captured by a treat that seemed perfect for sharing with his companion, Elekid. With a grin, he exchanged some coins for the delicacy, eager to enjoy a moment of camaraderie with his Pokémon.

Yet, in a twist of fate, a Wingull swooped in with the grace of a seasoned pilferer, snatching the treat from Gandor's fingers. "Hey! That was for Elekid and me!" Gandor exclaimed, a mix of surprise and amusement in his voice, revealing a glimpse of his easygoing nature.

Turning to his Pokedex for a distraction, he chuckled as it described the Wingull.

Pokédex said:
Wingull, the Seagull Pokémon. Known for its daring mid-air snack heists, it's not above playing the pirate to fill its belly. Remember, in the world of Wingull, it's swoop first, ask questions never!

Elekid, visibly upset by the theft, began to whirl its arms, the air around it crackling with the buildup of electrical energy, a clear sign of its readiness to defend its and Gandor's honor against the cheeky avian thief.
