Much to the dismay of Knight James, Haloburner Lamb stubbornly took a break from her Jedi duties to meet with her old master. Perhaps the urgency to meet the woman stemmed from Lamb’s battle with the darkside- a residual effect from her Padawan’s dark tears. Haloburner heeded to the Sage Master’s instructions on how to rid her body of the final vestiges of the darktears, however one thing gnawed at her, and that thing led the Nabooian to her old master. Lamb left without saying good bye to James, and importantly an unsettled business. That thought gnawed away at the female knight the entire time she was away.

Upon returning from her secret meeting with her old master, she decided to make things right- beginning with James. The meeting itself was a success, as she was able to air out her grievances, hurts, and growing concern to the woman she once called master. Along the way, the Jedi even picked up a new friend (Weiss Geist)- one that aided her at a dire time of her journey.

One thing that gnawed away at her, besides the aforementioned was the finally statement made by her old master- “I sense change in the future.. I don't know what that will bring, but soon the Jedi will be at the doorstep of the Sith, and I hope we do not meet, old Friend." The latter part kept repeating her mind over and over….. Despite Lamb’s reasoning, she was unsuccessful in convincing the woman to return. In fact, she avoided the topic directly while the pair met. Nonetheless, she at least made peace with her old master’s new choice, even though she did not agree with her new found purpose.

After making her way past the heightened security at the Tython temple, the girl headed straight to the meeting place. James should have received a message detailing the place and hour of the meeting. While Haloburner waited for her companion’s emergence, she looked at her chronometer several times, and then suddenly realized not a single dark thought had crossed her mind since she last saw Remy. The sudden realization brought a broad smile on the girls’ face, perhaps home is where I belong after all, she whispered to herself.

Home at long last, with a renewed purpose, vigor, and clarity.

In a moment or two, the turbolift carried him to whatever level they were to meet on. He tapped his nails across a metal part on his belt, it was a habit he had for a while ;- it made a pinging sound, that soothed him by some sort of odd rhythm.

Poor guy, his girlfriend had hopped over to who knows where and had a nice casual pot of tea with a Sith Lord. Sure, he was pissed! A number of things could have happened. This or that, or even THAT - heaven forbid!- , but none of those scenarios had panned out in reality like his mind had re-enacted over and over for the past week. But, anyway, his girl was fine, he was fine, and the universe was still mildly in-tact. That's all that he cared about.

The curved lift doors shifted open with a refreshing pneumatic hiss, and Cat walked down the hallway, passing a few apprentices coming back from a class, or lunch, or something. He passed through another set of doors, and was immediately greeted by ten or twelve massive fountains, all of different heights and shapes and assorted flowing rates. The hall featured transparent walls and a gigantic sunroof. This massive atrium, he thought, was as good as the outdoors. Quickening his pace, he approached a circular table that Haloburner was sitting at, just under the base of one of the fountains, and sat down.

"Well, what's up?"

With her face cupped inside her hands, Lamb brushed away the lingering thoughts that crossed her mind. The feeling was akin to the sands on Tattooine hitting her face while waiting by the broken down rental speeder. Moments into holding her face in her hands she sensed the presence of her man. "where do I even begin..." she whispered silently to herself as the approaching footsteps sounded closer, and closer, and finally James circled and sat down next to her.

"Well, what's up?" Came the familiar voice, at which point Halo removed her hands from her face and looked up to James. "I am sorry I left in haste..." she uttered. Her eyes started to tear nonetheless, she continued in between each tear "...It was wrong on my part to leave without saying good-bye...AND I am tired, but wanted you to know before I retired for the day."

Lamb meant every word she said to James. The entire trip back was one consumed by her utter dismay concerning the night she left. Now that she'd offered her apologies, she felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted off her chest. Come what may, her part is done, and she only wished the consequences of her actions wont come at a cost....

"Yeah well -

Hey hey hey hey hey hey!"

He pressed a thumb to her left cheek, absorbing the tear that had just fallen from her shining pupils.

"No need for unnecessary moisture! I forgive you - easily."
