Sigurd slumped down to the ground behind the small carcass of a giant statue, the small amount of shade from the sun it gave was all the blessing he could ask for. They had hiked for miles, he could feel his skin blistering and all they had found was a single family hiding out. Not the insurgents the Intel had suggested, they were all becoming frustrated and Sigurd's water was running low. Klatooine was a horrible place, it had the heat and sand of Korriban but none of its wonders, no great pyramids or tombs, its mountain ranges where like hills. There was no let up from the sun here.

He had heard stories in the main spaceport that there was an underground city out in the desert, it spread for miles and miles underground. Fed by giant submerged rivers. At first he thought it was just some hodgepodge story, now he begged for it to be true. The group was made up of Sigurd a dozen troopers and another Sith, some Genosian bug, who seemed to not mind the heat.

Another trooper plumped himself down beside Sigurd, pulling off his helmet to reveal a soaked forehead and matted hair, he poured a small amount of water on his head before taking another gulp. "I would save as much as that as you can, solider." Sigurd replied. Their orders were to search until nightfall and then call in an extraction. But he wondered if these men would even make it till dusk. Sigurd looked over to the Genosian who was standing up ahead and wondered if the heat even bothered him here.

This assignment struck Phyxsis as unusual. Finding lost cities full of riches was not on the empire's usual forte. He also wasnt happy about the crew he was given. The squad, not being from geonosis or any other desert planet, complained about the heat. Alot. This complaning bothered him greatly. After viewing the surroundings ahead, he looked to the rest of his squad. "The next one to complain about the heat is going to have their slimy, whining lips cut off and shoved down their throat! Understood?" Phyxsis was getting impatient. The city was nowhere in sight. He eyed the leader of the squad. "How close are we to this city? Does it even exist?"

Sigurd looked up from the ground when he heard the Genosian speak, he couldn't tell it was the tone, the words or his rather annoying accent that ticked him off the most. It could have just been the heat. "If you have read the report, we don't know and we don't know." Sigurd pushed himself off from the ground, but still trying to keep in the shadow. He wanted to be out of that head.

"Are mission is reconnaissance, we check this area, if we find something we report back in, if we don't we report back in. Simple enough."
Stepping out into the sun, he walked up to the creature, Sigurd was taller and bigger than him. The only real difference was the armor, Phyxsis was ornate, lavish like most of the Sith. Sigurd's was, well some wouldn't even call it armor, it was a light ballistics vest and some clothing, ripped, torn and holey. He owned nothing else and was glad of it in this heat. "Now, if you would like to fly on ahead and scout out some more territory to make this quicker be my guest."

"My job is not to read the report, its to make sure you and useless crew dont die because of some bandit. I suggest you change your tone before you find yourself in a situation youd rather not be in..." Phyxsis was now more than irritated with the captain. He stares the man down. Phyxsis was shorter, skinner, and perhaps weaker, bur far more agile, part cyborg, and he had lightsabers and wings. He was confident in the fight that may or may not happen. "No, i dont feel like flying ahead. Shouldnt you have one of your expendables do it? Or will i have to off one or two of them to make a point?"

"Ironic, that the man who says watch your tone, is the one who is making the situation." Sigurd said, staring into the creatures eyes. "I also wouldn't advise threatening a dozen troopers and a fellow Sith all at the same time. Many have died for less." Sigurd turned away from the Genosian, showing his back and distaste for the creatures as he walked back down the small dune to the rest of the troopers. "Everyone get ready we are moving on. Torus, set the heading North by North East."

"A fellow sith with any honor wouldnt sic his troopers on an equal. Then again, a big, dim-witted buffoon like you wouldnt have any sense of honor, would he? If i wanted i could slaughter every single one of those troopers this instant." Phyxsis was always quick to anger, and being provoked like this wasnt a wise idea on sigurds part.

Sigurd kept his back to the Sith as he spoke, he wasn't giving him the respect of a face to face encounter. "You speak of Honor, but then slate me with foul mouthed words. And by the way, in the slums of the pits beneath the great temple, I have heard much worse." The soldiers were tense, the threat of death did that to a man, one or two were holding their rifles a little to tight for his liking. He raised his hand to relax the man, he would defend them if the bug wanted to attack. Not out of undying loyalty to the Sith Empire, but on a personal one to the men stood around him. "Now if you are done with flashing your wings about, can we move on." Sigurd asked as he started walking away.

The little creature never replied. He seemed content to sit at the back of the pack and not say a peep throughout the rest of their little patrol. Maybe he was a little right, they never found a thing on the patrol. Sigurd went on three more before he was re-assigned to another planet. He heard the Imperial troops did eventually find the underground city, but it was abandoned before they got there. Sigurd did wonder what happened to the bug.
