The tropical island of Kothis was becoming the perfect go between point for Kaythous as he trained padawans and took on missions. Today he was excited to be showing a padawan how to move through the force. He'd posted the lesson as a simple force jump class but looking at the landscape from his perch top a jetty the knight knew there was more to be learned than he'd originally thought.

Jumping off the jagged rock he grabbed the branch of a tree and catapulted his momentum forward with a swing of his legs. He released the branch as the pendulum that was his lower half reached the appropriate angle. Tucking his legs up into his chest he flipped backward twice landing on his feet with a nonchalance that would have astounded any normal being.

Kaythous loved free running. It was the only time he actually felt at peace. Sprinting through the ever changing landscape of the tropical planet the knight jumped, slid, flipped and dove over and under various rock, tree limbs and puddles. By the time he reached the meeting location Kaythous was covered in a sheen of sweat and mud. A smile was spread across his face and he welcomed both of the learners.

"Hey, I'm Kaythous. I'll be your instructor today. I hope you've stretched. We're gonna start today off with a little test." His smile settled into a mischievous grin as he looked between the two padawans. "Before that though, what's your name?" He looked back and forth between the pair excitedly. Out of all the classes he'd taught, this one was the one he was the most excited for.

Kothis, an abundant tropical island that fit the needs of the Jedi to become a base of operations. Though to the eyes of Shenzai it seemed almost too remote for him, though he couldn't really complain about it. Growing up he was often surrounded by others but as a Jedi he realized that his life had become more alone and solitude, this base just proving it. Maybe that's why he had such a distaste for it, not because of it being a remote island but because of what it signified to him: loneliness.

Striding off of the ship that just came into the base he walked down the hallway and out of the building. His instructor for the day would be Kaythous, a Jedi Master full of great wisdom and power. Expected of a Master of course. Shenzai got out the note that was given to him by the Master himself, run to the edge of the forest and I'll meet you there. Very clear and simple, though Shenzai was wondering why he would be going to the edge of the forest.

Running through the great forest he realized it wasn't what a normal 'forest' would be considered, no it was more of a jungle. As such he realized that he should be weary of anything coming after him. Reaching the end of the jungle Shenzai heard a noise coming from behind him, it was the Master himself.

Bowing to his teacher for the day, he greeted the Master and listening to his greeting as well. "Hi, I'm Shenzai. And after that run I'm more than warmed up." He noticed the excitement in the eyes of Kaythous. Why was he like this?

Kaythous placed his hands on his hips and finished catching his breath. The knight plucked a leaf from his hair and smiled kindly at the padawan. He had a lot to show Shenzai and he was excited to get on with it, but he knew formalities were important to most, so he brushed loose foliage off his clothing and smiled as the hulking Kushari came into view. The being's chest heaved slightly as they bowed and introduced themselves. Shenzai acknowledged that he was ready. And the jedi master smiled.

"I'm sure you are wondering what this test is, and why we're starting out with a test before anythings been learned." Kaythous began gathering the force to him. His signature in the omnipresent force began to shrink and dissipate becoming more and more difficult to sense. A devious smile spread across his lips as he said, "That's simple to run one must first walk. I need to see just how fast you are. Catch me." In a sudden burst the force rushed out from him in a powerful wave that would wash over the unsuspecting padawan faster than most could avoid. There was enough power behind the wave to knock him back a few feet, but the clearing they were in was open and the ground was soft. So, even if Shenzai was to fall the kushari wouldn't be hurt.

As the force slammed into Shenzai, Kaythous, would adjust his position and dash off. Augmenting his speed with the force the Jedi, would appear to have been shot out of a blaster. It would be the padawan's mission to try and keep up or catch the Jedi Master. However, even with the innate primal abilities the Kushari had, Kay was confident he could keep ahead of the padawan. The jedi wasted no time putting distance between himself and the meeting place. He bounded off rocks, cleared small streams and scaled small rock faces. He finally came to a stop on the top of a small rock formation that overlooked the 1000 island plateau. He awaited the padawan allowing his force signature to act as a beacon. While he waited he prepared the lesson in his mind.

Shenzai studied the Jedi Master as he smiled and told him of the test. To run one must first walk. He wondered of what the Jedi had in store for the young Kushari as he sent out a burst of energy toward Shenzai, sending him a couple of feet backwards. His goal was simple, catch him, but knowing full well of the powers of force speed in a master's hands it wouldn't be such a simple task. But there was, however, no other way to find the Master. So, he would just have to do his best.

Quickly recovering from the burst of energy sent from Kaythous, the Kushari got on all of his burly legs knowing that this would be the fastest he would be able to go. As such the only way possible for the Padawan to keep up with the Master.

As the Padawan go onto his all fours, he quickly picked up the scent of the Master, already assuming he hid his presence in the Force. This would make things easier keeping track of Kaythous and thus giving him an easier time finding him. Shenzai could feel the power still surging from the spot Kaythous sprinted off from and saw the area in the foliage he ran into. So, he started to sprint quickly through there and followed the scent. He hurdled over the small rocks and ran right over the streams and logs the Master had just passed. Though, he was very far away from him still.

Noticing that the sent had stopped several meters ago, Shenzai back tracked and looked around at the spot where it had stopped. Noticing that the Master had crawled up a rock and stopped Shenzai got onto his hind legs and started sprinting the rest of the way there like that. Still winded from his long sprint/run Shenzai bent over trying not to puke. "You truly are fast, Master Kaythous."
