Just curious to see how often Sith betray their own brethren in Mission threads or PVP threads or even general story threads here. Just to get a better sense of how the Sith work here.

not really on a mission as far as i've seen. usually if they betray one another it will be a thread for social purposes or non conflict (aka a moff meeting)

I mean it can still happen but i think it would be more of an isolated incident rather than a reoccurring theme or something that specific character would do.

I honestly don't recall ever seeing it happen in any sort of PvP/Mission. Betrayal is a pretty difficult thing to effectively pull off in this sort of environment just because unless it's something agreed upon between two parties OOCly before hand, it inevitably leads to a huge mess of OOC drama as one person tries to scramble their character out of it at all costs. At least when it's two hostile factions opposing one another there's some mutual agreement things can and probably will go badly for one of them. Betrayal? Not so much.

Tbh I've seen more betrayals happen in Republic and Jedi sides where one teammate either bails or turns on their brethren >___>

like blowing up their own temple :p?

But yes I agree, I haven't seen it in the Sith faction so far :)
I guess there's some irony to be found in everybody expecting betrayal and so nobody actually goes ahead with betraying anybody.

You have to trust to be betrayed, and the Sith aren't very trusting, I think.

Occasionally lower ranking Sith will try to challenge higher ranking / more powerful Sith to gain their position. Though that is done in a special thread, and so far both of the challengers have failed so there haven't been any shakeups.

I haven't seen any actual Sith-y betrayals in the middle of fights, or low key murdering of rivals. I'd LIKE to though, that'd be pretty cool, I think...

Ahh...this reminds me of last timeline. It seems to me that the Sith always tend to be more loyal than the Jedi.

I don't see why there would be a betrayal in a PvP. I mean you just made the fight a winner for the other guy and while the Jedi and Repupblic may just kill you afterwards. Now after a fight when the master is weak and you remove him is different. like in the Old Republic Trailer

Only betrayal in a PvP I know is Nor'baal senator going rouge but he asked if he could shoot my senator and steal my ship so the betrayal was only IC not OOC. All so he tried to murder every one there sith included.

I have done ic betrayals in the past, it's a tense thing to do as people tend to view the action as you, the writer not the character, betraying them on an ooc and personal level. On top of that it is difficult to talk about especially if the end goal is to kill them or leave them in a fatal situation, because the opposing writer TYPICALLY does everything in their power to prevent it. But I'd say if you are in a situation where your character has a REASON to betray the other Sith (Example: Killing this person with no witnesses will increase my own power or status within the Sith) I would say do it.
