Hask sat on his usual spot in front of the bar in the Mos Eisley cantina. His fith glass of ale was just finished and his sixth was on its way. His helmet was sitting on the bar next to him, staring back with its black visor as he drank the time away. "What are you looking at?" he said as he turned the helmet to look into a different direction.

His armour was fixed up, his pistols were full and his lightsabers were at the ready...yet they just sat hidden under his poncho. He let out a long, heavy sigh and drank further.

He was bored. And any soldier can explain warriors and boredom never mix well. He needed something to do, but with all his jobs either done or on hold he didn't have anything to do.

He took a look around, listening for anything interesting but apart from the typical trash talking and under-the-table deals going on, there was nothing on this dustball to do.

He turned back to face the bar and drank further, hoping for something to fall from the heavens and take his boredom away.

Hunger. In between jobs and waiting for the pay to roll in from the last one, Aurelie certainly found herself in a bind as she would have to survive for a few days without any real amounts of credits. There wasn't much else to do but go back to her old ways of getting by: namely stealing. She had stolen in this very same cantina in the past and was rather familiar with the layout of the establishment which made spotting a mark rather easy. At the side of one of the booths hung a smaller bag, and the occupants of the booths were preoccupied with more intimate business. With a shrunken shoulders and a lowered head, the young woman walked past her marks and snatched the bag without notice.

Aurelie knew that it was always safer to talk to someone after stealing - it gave the impression that she was there with company, hardly the kind of person to deal with undesirable activities such as theft. Making her way to the bar, the thief sat down besides a seemingly lonely patron (@Hask Jen). The black leather bag didn't fit very well with her other ways beige and brown cloaks which covered her from top to toe, but there weren't much she could do. Removing the head garb, Aurelie ordered something small to eat and a glass of water before turning to her neighbour "Hello there! How do you unlock doors on Kashyyyk?" She asked with a cheerful tone and a anticipating smile.

Hask just started with his seventh glass of ale, no longer actually tasting the drink but it did help the boredom somewhat so he kept going. That was until something caught his eye. A lady walking into the bar, changing her posture completely and walking past a table, acquiring a bag as she passed. He rolled his eyes, it was definitely nothing new to this place...until she plopped down beside him and asked him a peculiar question.

With a smirk he replied, "I don't know, probably the same way you steal things..." he turned his head so his golden eyes were staring right at her. "You use your hands." he concluded with a calm, smug tone. His left hand disappeared under his poncho, gripping his lightsabre, while his right hand brought the mug up to his lips as he took another sip. "Believe it or not, that's also the same way you apprehend thieves." he said with wide eyes, putting on his most surprised face he could as he decided to mess with the thief a little.

"I hope you don't try that same trick with me. I can promise you it won't go down well." he said in a more serious tone as he downed his glass, turning his body on the stool to face her completely. "So? What's your story? Seeing as I'm supposed to be either your cover or your next victim, might as well make it interesting." the smug smile returned to his face as he spoke calmly, as to not draw attention to themselves.

Despite her usual proficiency in regards to theft, this guy had managed to spot her handiwork. Surprised, she looked on in silence as he spoke, deciding to hope that her neighbour would prove to be merciful to a thief such as herself. Aurelie smirked at his guess in answering her question but remained quiet as he clearly had more to say. The girl was good at spotting pockets, weapons and anything which could either prove to be worthy of stealing or healthy to stay away from - but she couldn't see what the man next to her was reaching for as his left hand disappeared under the poncho. Nevertheless, her main goal now was to stay on his good side.

Aurelie raised her hands to a shoulder height whilst showing him her palms "Fear not! I'll steer clear of your pockets. Besides, your poncho makes it pretty hard to do anything now that you're on your watch" she said while flashing him a smile, doing all she could to remain calm. The thief thought for a few moments, not at all sure how to respond to what her story was. In the end, she decided to provide the man with some kind of truth - granted that she was trying to highlight the more sympathetic parts. "I, uh... I'm Aurelie" she begun, nervously "My father passed not too long ago, and I've been doing my best to find work and stuff" the tone of her voice shifted from sorrow to shame, although there were certainly strong elements of truth to the story, she did her best to paint a fitting picture. "But times are tough, you know. I'm just doing this until I can get credits by other means" she said and trailed off.

The food she ordered arrived prompting her to look up to thank the staffer who served it. Awaiting the neighbours verdict, she turned back to him "By the way, the correct answer was that you need a woo-key" she joked, adding a careful smile.

He listened to her as she spoke, watching her every move. While he would usually scoff at an excuse like that, on this planet it seemed like the only logical option for survival. He relaxed a little, removing his hand from under his poncho and waving over the bartender. "I'll have what she's having." he said and the bartender obliged, disappearing into the kitchen area.

He couldn't help but give a chuckle at the terrible joke she told.
"I'll be honest, I haven't heard that one before." he said as he chuckled at the dry joke. "I can understand your situation. On a backwater like this a job is a luxury very few can afford."

His food arrived and after a few bites he spoke up again, "I'm sitting in a similar situation at the moment. My ship is running low on fuel and a few of my jobs were put on ice so the paycheque isn't going to come in any time soon."

"So seeing as you're pretty familiar with the place, do you know of anything to do around here that does not involve hunting Tusken Raiders?" he asked after another few bites.

I victorious smile grew on the young woman's lips as he seemed to appreciate her joke. It was not the best one she had ever produced, that's for sure, but at least it was something. What made her even happier was that her neighbour seemed to have dropped the matter of her criminal activities. "You're right, so very right. I'll probably get of off this planet as soon as I can afford a shuttle ticket."

The food was fine, not too shabby considering the price, but hardly anything to write home about. What was more intriguing was where the man next to her was leading the conversation. Aurelie's eyebrows raised as he told her about his own predicament. How ironic was it that he had a similarly tricky situation as herself. "Oh, we can't hunt Tusken Raiders?" she asked with with a sarcastically disappointed voice. "But that's exactly what I do to make time pass" it was clear that she was joking as she smirked at him with a cocked eyebrow.

"What kinda work do you do then? I know they're looking for manual labour to carry crates and stuff over at the warehouse next to the spaceport. I'm sure they'd appreciate someone with a strong back there." The girl's tone was rather indifferent as she considered whether she should let him in on something which had been on her mind for a while. Not knowing how open he was to stealing himself, Aurelie opted for a more careful approach and carefully resumed "There is also a shipment of a few speeders bound to arrive from Anchorhead" she took a short pause and stopped eating completely as she looked him in the eyes "They've had a long journey and from what I've heard, they don't have many guards either. Perhaps they'd pay us a few credits if we offered to escort them safely into the city." The young woman made sure to keep a neutral tone and a stale face. It did seem like the safest option if her neighbour was a little too righteous for what she had in mind.

"Heh, you can go ahead if you want but I'll sit that one out. The last time I fought Tusken Raiders I was almost strangled to death by one when my friend and I attacked a raiding party." he explained to her as he finished his meal, actually tasting something again for the first time in a few hours.

When she asked him if she could help out with his kind of worked he looked her over with raised eyebrows.
"...no offence, but I don't think you'd be able to keep up with my kind of work. It's not exactly very safe." He was tempted to show his weapons for extra emphasis but decided against it, just in case she got any ideas...

"Speeders from Anchorhead? While I guess they would be thankful for the escort, I'm pretty sure the fact that you mentioned the guards would imply that there is a more...illegal interest in those speeders. Whatever your plan is, count me in. It's better than sitting here and drinking the hours away and either escorting some speeders or stealing them will definitely not be the worst thing I've done. Besides, I could do with a new bike or speeder to make travelling a little easier. I think the local swoop gangs are getting a little tired of me...borrowing their bikes." He spoke with a casual, bored voice. He was itching for something to do and here was his golden opportunity. He stood up, dusted himself off and picked up his helmet. He placed a few credits on the counter and nodded his head at the barkeep to thank him.

He took a few steps towards the door before stopping, slipping his helmet over his head and his hood over his helmet, then turned to face the lady.
"Well? Are we going to go get ourselves a few speeders or what?" he asked in a cheerful tone, eager to get out of the cantina.

This guy ate at a rapid pace prompting Aurelie to do the same. If he was going to come along to grab the speeders, she might as well finish her plate before going. He seemed to believe that she wanted to join him in his work, which was hardly the case and with two raised eyebrows and a furrowed forehead, she explained "I was not looking to tag along during your day of work but knowing what you do would make it easier to suggest work which fits you."

The young woman produced an innocent look as her future partner in crime accused her of having something illegal in mind but soon smirked as she heard that he did indeed seem interested in acquiring a speeder for himself. "I just mentioned the guards to highlight their lack of protection" she joked with a mockingly innocent voice and continued "But I'm glad you're in" with a wink.

In a hurry, she finished the plate and rushed to join him as he had already begun heading towards the exit "Yeah, yeah, keep it down, will ya? Or do you want to let the others in on the plan too?" her voice was light-hearted as she doubted that anyone nearby was attentive enough to listen in to their conversation. Once outside she turned to him "You know my name, what's yours? And what is it that you work with exactly?" Aurelie looked at him curiously, interested to see how willing he was to share.

"Oh please, I could announce that I'm planning to blow up the cantina and no one would even bother to listen." he said with a laugh. That was the nice thing about Tatooine, nobody ever asked questions.

As they made their way outside she asked him for his name and his profession. "The name's Hask. Nice to meet you Aurelie."he said with a small salute with his fingers as he walked. "As for what I do...lets just say it's not cut out for your average merc." he continued, pulling his poncho slightly out of the way to sneak a peak at his lightsabers and pistols. "And no those are not for sale." he joked, releasing the poncho to let it fall back into place.

"Which way are we going exactly? Are we going to need a lift to get there or something?"
he said, stopping dead in his tracks after almost reaching his ship's hanger.

The young woman let out a laugh. What her new partner in crime said was true - no heads were turned upon the mention of getting themselves speeders, and no heads were turned upon mentioning blowing up the cantina. This was a special planet indeed.

Aurelie smirked as Hask decided to give her the "Nice to meet you" and a salute at this stage. It seemed a little late and way too formal considering how they'd met. With a dramatic bow, she teased "It is a pleasure to meet you too, Hask." The girl did, however, reconsider her teasing as she saw the man's lightsabers. The thief couldn't prevent a small surprised gasp but soon managed to suppress it. It didn't take long for her to conclude that this man could be one of three things:
1. Incredibly lucky to find two lightsabers,
2. incredibly deadly to acquire two lightsabers from force users or
3. a force user himself.
Option one simply seemed very unlikely as people didn't just stumble across lightsabers. She didn't feel very comfortable with possibility two or three since both implied that her new companion was much more dangerous than she had initially expected. What primarily concerned her was the possibility that Hask might not be willing to share their 'earnings' from the speeder job. The girl was clearly growing nervous when her companion suddenly stopped.

Walking a few more steps, Aurelie soon turned around to face him. Mustering all courage she had, the young woman made a valiant effort to put up a tough facade "Not so fast. First, I want to know how you got those" she said while pointing at the part of his poncho which was now covering the lightsabers before proceeding "Secondly, I wanna know what your thoughts about splitting the profits go." The information about where the shipment would go was her main advantage at the moment and she was not overly eager to part with it just yet.

He heard her little gasp when he showed her weapons and he could feel her nervousness growing until she spoke up

He was a bit surprised by her sudden outburst. He expected some reaction but not one this loud. He turned to face her, cocking his head slightly to the side and folding his arms over his chest. An annoyed look formed on his face from her question about the cut, but his helmet hid it at least.

"I'd think my red, ridged mug would make it a little obvious. I am Sith...or was, it's a little complicated at the moment." he said in a flat voice, not at all amused by what she was insinuating. "As for the cut, I thought it would be half and half. Though we can gladly change that up if its going to be a problem."

He let out a light laugh. "Playing tough girl definitely doesn't fit you. You look rather amusing with that look." he said in a much more light hearted tone. He placed his hand on his hips. "So do we have a deal or what?" he said proudly with his right hand extended for her to shake.

Hask didn't not seem very amused by her questions and the mask made it rather hard to read his face, but the body language spoke for itself. She felt like the man overestimated how common his species were and Aurelie's own ability to judge what the species implied, but she had no intentions of speaking up to him now. It didn't take long for her tough facade to crack in front of the Sith and soon she just looked down onto the ground as he spoke. Splitting the profits 50/50 was better than she had expected - quietly, the thief shook her head and let out a small "No, that's not a problem." The words could barely be heard as her eyes were still locked to the ground.

Carefully, she looked up on Hask as he let out a light laugh. It felt as if he was trying to improve the mood, which was something she was all for. A slight chuckle escaped her as she straightened her back again "Well, at least one of us can pull the tough guy act off" she said. Realizing that it could be misinterpreted, she quickly added "Not that I'm saying it's an act!".

The girl's eyes quickly traveled between Hask's eyes and his hands multiple times. He seemed kind of trust worthy and if she could actually get half of the cut, she'd be set for quite a while. Without much further ado, Aurelie stretched out her hand to shake his "Deal".

There didn't seem to be much point to prolonging this any further, in fact, the young woman was getting rather eager to do something rather than making another diplomatic blunder. "I know of two resting spots which the transport will likely take. One is among a large rock formation out in the dunes. It is safe from Sandpeople and is usually rather desolate and they will likely be the only living things there. The other spot is by the outskirts of the city, within walking distance. There will be more people around, that's for sure."

When her façade dropped and her head lowered, he felt kind of bad for her. Scaring someone was definitely not the plan.

He did feel pretty good about himself, knowing that he was in fact still intimidating in some parts of the galaxy. He would be quite terrible at his job if he weren't.

When they shook hands he started laughing and gave her a light tap on the shoulder. "No need to worry about me. I'm not the murderous, violent type. That's the rest of my kind." he looked towards the hanger his ship was parked in then back to her. "I'm thinking that rock formation will be the best bet. Out of sight, best chance for an ambush, could cover our tracks pretty easily as well...will flying work or would we need an expendable swoop bike to get there? My ship has a little storage space so if we can land somewhere then loading the speeders up and flying to a different town might work pretty well. I think I might be able to fit six or so in the cargo bay, maybe more..." he explained his plan to her, thinking out loud of the most efficient ways to approach the situation.

"How would you say we approach this?" he said to her, awaiting an answer. Maybe her 'expertise' might come in useful.

The young woman listened attentively as Hask thought out loud, his plan was most certainly more violent than the one she had in mind prompting a short laugh "Yes, a very non-violent plan it is" she joked with a wink but soon continued "But hey, you've been quite patient with me, right?" Her new partner in crime did indeed seem less prone to murder than many of his brethren which made it much easier for Aurelie to resume friendly relations with him.

The thief considered his plan for a moment and shrugged lightly "I'd just've tried to steal their truck when they weren't looking when they stayed to rest here in town. But that would probably be more risky in the long run since they'd all be alive to hunt me down and speeders which are clearly stolen don't sell for as much." Once again, she pointed at the part of Hask's poncho which covered his weapons "But unlike you, I've just got this" she said while unveiling a couple of layers of cloth to bring up a blaster pistol. "I'm not really geared for combat, you know?" she stated with a meek smile and another light shrug.

"If..." she begun with a certain degree of uncertainty "...you're still considering an ambush, I think we could go there by ship. All we'll have to do is to park the ship on the backside of the rock formation - it is, as I said, large, very large. I don't think your ship will enjoy the sand very much though, the dunes are less forgiving than the hangars here in the city" The idea seemed to excite the girl who rarely found herself in a position of superior battle prowess compared to her marks. "Soooo, you've got a ship hidden somewhere?" she asked, enthusiasm clear in her voice.

"I wasn't planning on killing them, just knocking them out." he laughed at her joke.

He thought for a bit, thinking her plan through.
"...if we can get them out of the way, disable their speeders then just load up and fly away, we will be long gone by the time they fix it up and get back in town. As for selling the stolen vehicles, that won't be a problem. I know a guy in Anchorhead that buys less-than-legal stuff for very good prices and then selling them again. He's reliable and chances of news reaching that far away that quickly about stolen speeders is very thin." When she mentioned her pistol buried under layers of clothing, he smiled a bit behind his helmet. "If we play our cards right then that won't be necessary." he said calmly as he placed his hand on the gun and lowered it.

He started walking towards the hangar behind them, motioning for her to follow.
"Yeah I got a ship. It's built for exploration so a little sand won't even scratch it, not that I use it for exploration but it's ruggedness is still very useful."

When they entered the hangar, he held his hands out to the white and red Waxa scout ship sitting in front of them. "I would like you to meet...The Hellion!" he proclaimed proudly. "She might not look like much but she's my baby and I love almost every single thing about her." he said, walking up the ramp on the side of the ship and entering it, waiting for Aurelie to get on board as well before closing the ship up.

He made his way towards the cockpit, greeting his astromech droid with a light pat on its dome as he walked past it. He pointed to the co-pilot's seat and took a seat in the pilot's chair.
"Grab a seat, get comfortable." he said cheerfully, flipping switches and pressing buttons. Pretty soon the ship roared to life and they were hovering in the air. "Alright where to? Which way is this amazing rock formation of yours?" he perked up, looking at her.

Aurelie looked on as the Sith lowered her gun, not seeing any reason to resist it. "I like the sound of that" she chirped as the girl holstered the blaster and rewraped the cloths around it. She was happy to follow him to the hangar, rather glad to fly a private vessel instead of the commercial space liners she'd been traveling by for a while. The girl browsed her memory banks for what kind of ship it could be but sand resistance didn't provide a narrow enough scope for her to go by.

Finally, Hask introduced her to his Hellion. The young woman's eyes went wide as she pointed at the ship with her left arm and grabbed the sith's arm with her free hand "Is that Waxa?!" she exclaimed in awe. The ship was not all too uncommon around the galaxy, but it certainly weren't that common for civilian use either. She nodded in agreement with him "Lookers or not, this girl has some serious power! Long range scanners, great speed, and the maneuverability!" the list weren't completed as she walked forth to regard the ship from up close. Dragging her hand along the bottom of the ship, Aurelie gave it a last look from the outside before finally boarding the vessel. She was usually rather good at scouting a new and unfamiliar place out; she was a thief after all. But this time, her interest in the ship was genuine as she had a quick look around on the way to the cockpit.

The young woman gave the astromech a short wave before taking the co-pilot's seat. She had spent large parts of her youth in the cockpit with her father and quickly studied the ship. Aurelie was very tempted to touch the controls of the ship, just to ease the start-up process for Hask - but she knew better than to mess with the startup of his baby, still she looked at the right controls at the right times showing a good knowledge of ships in general. A low "whoa" could be heard as the engines started and a bright smile grew on her lips.

Turning to Hask, a little surprised as she was interrupted in the admiring of the ship, she soon regained her composure "Oh, let me enter it into the nav-computer" she said as she turned to punch in the coordinates. Looking back at the pilot she gave him a genuine smile "I didn't take you for someone who got an eye for ships." It was clear in her voice that she was quite impressed.

Hask was quite shocked that she knew that much about his ship. He didn't expect some common thief to know this much about a ship. He watched out of the corner of his eye how she admired his ship. He definitely did not expect his ship to make such an impression while it was basically stock standard.

When she started setting up the navicomputer he wanted to shove her away, but he restrained himself. Something was telling him she knew what she was doing. He held his hands up, away from the controls to allow her easy access to set up his navicomputer.

When she was done he slowly took the controls and started flying towards the location. He took note of her impressed and excited tone of voice as she spoke to him. "I can say the same thing about you! Where did you learn about ships? With your current...profession I wouldn't take you for a ship expert." he said, curiosity and intrigue clear in his voice as he flew them to the location. It wasn't too far out of town so reaching it by ship wouldn't take too long.

He sat back, relaxing as he flew the ship and enjoying the ride. When they reached the clearing he gently touched down and killed the engines. He turned to his droid that was sitting in the corner of the cockpit.
"Hey buddy, keep your eyes and ears open alright. We might need a quick exit out of here." he turned to Aurelie "Do you have something to cover up your face? A scarf or mask or something along those lines. We wouldn't want them to have a face to put together with the situation." he spoke to her.

He pressed a button and the cargo hold's ramp opened up, allowing them to quickly get the speeders on board.

Upon getting to a higher altitude, the sights would be beautiful - the twin suns had already begin setting and from ground level, one of the suns was barely visible. It weren't very dark yet, but the sky had begun to go from it's normal lighter hue of blue to darker shades of the same colour, purple, orange and pink. Aurelie was certain it was going to be a good trip, both because of the nice ship and the nice landscape. As the journey proceeded, however, she paid a decreasing amount of attention to the dunes, and got more and more invested in the different controls and panels of the ship.

The young woman heard his question clearly enough, but for a while, she just kept her eyes fixed at the panel she was monitoring prior to him asking. The ship was fine, there was no real need to watch the panel, but the subject was more touchy. "I-uh...." she began solemnly but the sentence faded out as soon as she had started. The girl looked down and started to fiddle with something in her pocket. Looking back up, she gazed out the front window as she continued "I used to travel a lot, with my dad. I co-piloted the ship, even piloted it myself sometimes, you know." she said, glancing over at Hask with a short-lived smile "We were a team" she finished with a slightly lowered voice. The thief soon occupied herself with monitoring the power-levels of the engines while continuing fiddling with the thing in her pocket.

Upon arriving at the rock formation, it could clearly be seen that it was indeed large. It was probably possible to hide three or four ships behind them without anyone on the other side even being able to see them. Upon hearing his question, Aurelie gave him a nod and with practiced swiftness, she proceeded to wrap a piece of cloth around her head, leaving only the eyes for other's to see.

Aurelie looked up at the large rock formation after having scanned the surrounding dunes for but a short moment. The girl had never been here before, although she had heard about the stop several times before and was well aware of which direction the shipment would be coming from. "That looks like a good vantage point" the girl said while pointing up at the formation. Without waiting for too long she started climbing the rocks, making great use of her agility and past experiences.

From her vantage point, the young woman could see the shipment approaching from a distance. "Our timing is the stuff of legends, Hask" she called down to her companion. Their marks were still a fair distance away but with squinted eyes, Aurelie could roughly see what was coming. Turning to look back down she said "It looks like a cargo truck towing some speeders is coming our way! They don't even have an escort, any protection will have to be in the truck itself."

As they flew he listened to her. Out of the corner of his eye he could see her face darken and he could sense the sadness from her. He wanted to ask what had happened to their 'team' but decided to leave it for now. No need to start up sensitive topics needlessly.

He noticed her playing with something in her pocket, but decided that mystery could be solved after the mission.

He got lost in the view for a minute or two, taking in the beautiful colours of the desert. He was snapped out of his trance when they neared the clearing.
"You definitely weren't joking. We can hide a damn cruiser back here." he said with a chuckle.

As they moved out of the ship he grabbed his Westar-C1 carbine from the workshop. He emerged just in time to see her climbing the formation to the top.
"Perfect! Let's get into position. I'll take point, stand in the road and pull them over. You can either stay up there and provide overwatch or you can get down here and box them in from behind!" he shouted to her, slinging the carbine over his shoulder as he awaited her answer. Small convoy like that with no escort would most certainly not put up that much of a fight, but they might still be difficult seeing as he will only be one person. Deep down he hoped that they would be so stupid as to challenge him.

He looked back to his ship, making sure the droid was ready and the cargo hold was open for a quick, smooth job. Everything was in place.

Things were about to get interesting.

Aurelie was planted rather comfortably up at her vantage point and laughed at the thought that she'd be able to part take in boxing them in "I think I'll stay up here, I don't have quite the same intimidating aura as you do!" she said, adding a light-hearted touch at the end. Once again, she unwrapped a couple of layers of her clothes and pulled out her blaster, but this time, she rewrapped it without holstering the weapon. "If anything happens, I've got your back." her tone was more serious but still, she provided him with a smile and a nod before crawling a little further up the formation to a point where she could crouch and just barely stick her head up enough to see the other side.

Turning around, the young woman looked back down to face Hask "I don't think you'll have to stop them. This is a resting spot, they'll most likely stop here on their own. Natural needs and stuff." After a short glance towards the shipment, Aurelie lowered her voice a little "They're getting closer. I can see three guys in the front of the truck. It looks like a LK-6800 Cargo Truck. What's your plan? Are you going to talk them into giving us the speeders? I don't think they'll just giv'em to ya"

Soon, the truck would be able to be heard by Hask too. Not very strange, considering the silence in the otherwise desolate desert. The truck whipped up a fair amount of dust behind it as the vehicle quickly traveled across the Dunes, heading straight towards the rock formation. Aurelie lowered her head enough so that only the top of her covered head would stick up. The beige and brown colours of her clothes were rather well camouflaged in the Tatooine landscape making her a rather hard target for their marks to spot.
