Days of searching. Sleepless nights spent conjuring falsehoods in her mind, picturing herself standing amongst one of the largest collections of knowledge from the ancient times of the Sith. Hours spent pouring over fragments of information, crude translations and filtering truths and lies from countless rumors. As Sah’ra looked upon the ancient black obelisk standing in the bottom of the valley, cracked and eroded from its war with time, she knew that all her efforts had not been in vain. Just down below was the culmination of her efforts, a veritable wealth of knowledge within her grasp. Or perhaps it was theirs. She hadn’t done it alone, after all. Unfortunately.

Locating remaining Sith was difficult in the times since the Expulsion but there were always hidden channels that could connect them, should the need ever arise. After seeing the pure blood on the holonet, Sah’ra knew she had found one of the old Order. One that had not only taken part in the infamous Walk of Shame but had too taken part in the Hutt Ball Championship. For Cyutadakyr, it was clear that staying off the radar was not in her plan. Recruiting her for this expedition caused Sah’ra a degree of concern but a genetically pure Sith could be useful.

”The sun is setting quickly,” Sah’ra said calmly as she began preparing for the descent into the valley, securing her rappelling line around a large boulder and pulling the harness straps to ensure they were tight. Getting this far was complicated enough but risking anything happening to their shuttle in the valley was a threat Sah’ra was unwilling to take. Instead, she ensured they had the equipment necessary for an approach on foot. ”The sooner we reach the obelisk, the sooner we can begin the incantation and discover if the stories of the library really are true,” With a final glance across the landscape, the woman would begin her descent, whispering the incantation over and over. "Taka zeech ma toka duuwaj,"

Cyutadakyr liked the tough-looking ones. They were often overconfident, perhaps full of themselves, and quite happy to volunteer enough information to provide their downfall. She didn't know yet whether this Sah'ra would be one of these or a more difficult prey to unlock, but the pureblood could only hope it was the latter.

The pureblood firmly held the belief that exile was the greatest gift given to the Sith in over a century. No longer were the hordes of pathetic, weak titular imitations free to roam the galaxy impugning her good name. No, from now on only the strongest and powerful would enjoy such freedoms and with any luck and hard work, she herself would be amongst them.

Cyu was however fascinated by the mystic art of the dark side and that in itself was enough to lure her to Sah'ra's tale of adventure. Glossing over the hostile environment, the pureblood held a slightly grumpy expression as they'd have to continue on foot.

"Anas fasona nie reiksme" she muttered just loud enough for the other to hear. Naturally, Cyutadakyr was fluent in the Sith language and while the incantation had a loose connection, she couldn't understand it. The only logical explanation was that Sah'ra had read about it in some dusty old tome, likely looted from one of her ancestor's sacred resting places millennia ago, and was butchering the pronunciation.

Yeah, that had to be it she mused.

"Anas kash nenx nuo mus kia nutaris, Kissai,” Sah’ra responded in Cyutadakyr’s native language with a cold and plain stare as she continued her descent. She had come a long way since her indoctrination into the Sith, her education on ur-kittat beginning long before those days. She knew quite well that the incantation in question was difficult to translate but her sources were concrete. Her ancestors' teachings, as well as the brief reading of the tome of Lord Andros, and other collections of knowledge had never led her astray. She had every ounce of faith they’d continue to do so.

Sah’ra was chiefly a historian and antiquarian, the allure of the ancient library of Krayiss II too strong to ignore. With each rappel down the cliff face, they became closer and closer to her goal. Only when her boots touched the valley floor did she look back on the obelisk once again, now towering against the skyline as the sun shone directly behind the structure, the two moons painted against the dark sky at their back. For now, it seemed it was merely a simple, albeit long, walk to their objective.

”Cyutadakyr, is it?” Sah’ra asked as she removed her harness, tucking it safely amongst an outcropping of rocks for their return. Of course she was already well acquainted with the pureblood long before this meeting. One didn’t simply run around the galaxy making headlines while retaining any sense of anonymity. ”You’ve been busy since the meeting on Junction,” she added finally, condescension and disdain for the foolish collection of so-called Sith evident in her tone. The crimson skinned Acolyte stood out amongst the crowd that had collected that night. There was no denying her error in judgement by attending. ”I do hope that you aren’t planning on televising this expedition as well,”

The pureblood couldn't help but roll her eyes at the straightforward reply. At the very least they could understand where their destination was, as it literally stood out across the landscape but so far it seemed, that's all they had. She continued to descend with the other woman, ensuring that she would keep up as she pondered the words and their meaning.

Given that the Sith were thousands of years old, and highly secretive, there wasn't just the possibility that it was some long-lost variation of the mother tongue. There might surely also have been many more coded versions, variants spoken only by the master and their apprentice who crafted it so carefully only for the knowledge to be lost to time.

At least two of the words sounded familiar in isolation, loosely translating into basic as beak and smoke. There wasn't a whole lot of context around the nature of how these words were connected but it didn't take a genius to guess. Not that they'd be able to tell until they reached their destination but the pureblood would remain vigilant in case her suspicions rung true.

Cyu stopped in place as the woman seemed to scold her while considering how to reply in turn. "Yes it is, and I suppose you had a good reason for refusing the dark lord's command to Junction?" Regardless of the outcome of the event, Sah'ra had done so in her eyes.

The comment about Huttball made her eyes roll as they continued along the path. It was an outrageous event and although she operated under a fake name, it wasn't exactly easy to hide one's skin hue when it was being broadcast to the galaxy. With a dry retort, she added "Only if something interesting happens to you, Champion."

After a short walk, they came across a small river that was too wide to simply jump over and just deep enough that Cyu would have to potentially swim. Cyu looked around first with her eyes and then felt out with the force and found no dangerous lifeforms nearby which only made the dip a boring affair.

Not waiting for the Champion to spoil the adventure already by suggesting they walk around to find somewhere to cross, the acolyte walked up to a rock that overlooked the river. With a subtle smirk on her face, she dove in and swam gently across the light current until she reached the other side with no misfortune.

The chilling waters brought gnashing of teeth but yet Cyutadakyr would say nothing, enjoying the discomfort that sang its tune as she waited for the other woman to catch up.

Dark Lord The words should have struck fear into those who heard them. They were more than a title, they were an acknowledgement of one’s superiority over those who called themselves Sith. Since the time of Andruil and Raze however, they meant little more than nothing and Sah’ra’s tone reflected such an opinion. ”The omnipotent Darth Tempest, is it? The title changes hands so quickly now. I struggle to keep up with who sits the throne these days,” the woman continued dryly as the pair pushed on towards the ever growing obelisk in the distance. As they walked, Sah’ra turned her head to face Cyu though she expected to see little more than the side of her own head. ”Is there even a throne anymore? I’d imagine not, what with the Warmaster decimating the palace on Serenno,” she added before turning her attention back to her goal.

”In the end, this new Dark Lord has done nothing but consolidate many of our surviving members in a situation that nearly had the lot of you wiped out. And where is she now? I would say self preservation is as good a reason as any to not attend a declaration of rule. In fact, I would almost dare to suggest that how the entire ordeal turned out could very well nullify any claim she made, the embarrassment that it was,” Sah’ra continued, her expression plain.

While Cyu was content with leaping into the waters and paddling her way across, Sah’ra stood in place as she observed. It didn’t matter to her if there were no man-eating aquatic creatures dwelling beneath its murky surface. She’d be damned if she would even so much as dip a toe of her boot in that filth and she certainly wasn’t about to let her companion get ahead of her. Instead she would approach the same outcropping that the pureblood had and focus her energy into leaping across the river. It was a long shot but she had done sizeable leaps as this before. Yet as soon as her foot left the stony surface, a massive gust of wind whipped up and slammed directly into Sah’ra. While Krayiss was a desolate world, eroded debris of starcraft from a bygone conflict littering the valley, the area around the river remained clear of obstruction. Dirt and dust peppered her in the face, lodging particles in her eyes and obscuring her vision.

She felt her feet touch down on the opposite side of the river. She had made it. Unfortunately, as she attempted to find proper footing while rubbing the grit from her eyes, another forceful gust would slam into Sah’ra and Cyu. Unprepared, it forced Sah’ra to take a step back to support herself… Only there was nowhere for her foot to find purchase, sending her tumbling back into the river. She had disappeared entirely from view under the surface before bursting forth, her black hair plastered against her forehead as she spat the brown water from her mouth. Quickly she clung for whatever she could to pull herself back ashore on the other side. Slowly she would pull herself back onto dry land, a look of wild frustration plastered across her face. She would look at Cyutadakyr and grimace as she spat up a piece of rotted vegetation. "Not a damn word out of you," she growled as she got to her feet.

The words Sah'ra spoke were brutal honesty about the situation the Sith found themselves in. The harm wrought on their eternal organization would be felt for millennia still, and they had no one to blame but themselves. Though she couldn't help but smirk at the classification of the dark lord, here in the middle of nowhere there might not be any consequences for such thoughts but to elicit them around the wrong person could end poorly for the loose tongue.

That being said, the order had been decimated in the great exodus. The handful of lords lay slain in the aftermath and even fewer masters dominated the battlefield. If Darth Tempest fell, there was a very real risk that the seat would remain open for some time and perhaps create a void for those below to scramble towards.

Cyu herself wasn't so stupid to imagine she was in the running for such a daunting task just yet. By all rights, the strange woman that the acolyte traveled with outranked her and could perhaps use that to her advantage if she wished, although who would know how that would turn out.

Standing atop the river bank with her hands firmly and comfortably placed on her hips, she watched on as Sah'ra pulled herself out of the water. The pureblood didn't expect that the former would ask for help, not that she would have been given any had she done so but she did enjoy the brief moment of success that could be held to her.

"So much for a leisurely stroll to the obelisk," Cyu remarked subtly mockingly. The path before them was littered with the remains of battles eons past, debris and ruin lay afoot. The arcing scars crossed all paths and revealed only the destructive might that wreaked havoc across the battlefield so very long ago. The wrecks were strewn all across the path forward, forcing the pair to choose to navigate through the treacherous terrain for the direct route or follow along the river in the hopes of avoiding the worst.

A large metal slab found itself lodged deeply into the ground, an interesting thought crossed her mind as she considered the life that was taken likely just moments before its violent impact with the ground. It became quite clear, very quickly, that not only was this just a dark place but in fact a large battlefield....which naturally also made it a large graveyard.

Given the circumstances (and her soaking wet robes), Sah’ra found herself in a volatile and foul mood that was only curbed by the potential discovery of the ancient Library of Kraytiss. As she spat up a piece of rotted vegetation, wiping it’s remnants from her lips, the Sith swore that if they didn’t find what they had come for that she would never return. But if they did, if the stories and legends were true, she would have to stifle these feelings of resentment for her surroundings. Silently she prayed for the latter as they walked through the fleet cemetery.

”Death dominates this world,” she would finally mutter as they continued, blue eyes sweeping across the scene before them. If she quieted her mind and closed her eyes, she could almost take herself back and watch the carnage that had transpired above, so long ago. If she had the time to meditate and let the dark taint of Krayiss wash over her, the Force could possibly give her such a history lesson. ”Perhaps it comes for us as well,” she would add.

The obelisk grew in the distance as the sun of Krayiss descended in the distance, its twin moons growing in brightness. The air grew ominous as darkness began to sweep over them, Sah’ra swearing she could hear whispers in the breeze. While many in the galaxy were fearful of such events, she only grew more curious at what awaited them.

At one point in their travels, Sah’ra would come to a dead stop as she stared off to their side as her hand reached out to grab Cyu’s sleeve. In the distance, she could have sworn she saw a dim light walking amongst the wreckage, vanishing behind a hull only to reappear moments later. Closer inspection, whenever she could get a clear look, suggested that it moved as a sentient being albeit ethereal.

”Did you see that?” Sah’ra would ask quietly of the Acolyte, her black lips twisting upward into a sinister grin. ”I suspect the spirits of the ancients have taken interest in our goals,” she added, unsure if Cyu had even witnessed what she had.

Cyu could feel the warm embrace of death all around the pair as Sah'ra spoke. The cool air blew quietly sending goosebumps across her crimson skin. If there hadn't been anything out of the ordinary it would have made for quite the delightful walk, shortly before being pulled to one side by the champion.

Her senses heightened she still did not immediately see what the other had witnessed, slowly crossing her head. "Let us not disappoint them, then." Cyu's cold remark was genuine, although she suspected the other woman was just as curious as she was if not more, about how this scenario would play out. Would the spirits be encouraging their dareful adventure or vengeful that some would disrupt their resting place?

What kinds of illicit knowledge could be found buried away and guarded by the spirits of Sith long since dead, their guardians in the eternal desire to fulfill their master's dying wishes? It was their right as Sith to take what was rightfully theirs, to build upon the tower of others and use said knowledge to expand their influence and power. Together Sah'ra and Cyutadakyr could hold the galaxy between their fingers, dominating all life at their whims. But why share when you could have it all to yourself?

The pureblood cautiously eyed the other woman, careful not to give away anything. For now, the pair would work together, seeking to solve the Library's mystery in the hopes of unlocking the answers to questions they had yet to imagine. As they continued a dense fog began to drip across from them and fill the vicinity, clouding their path forward. It was a challenge, a dare to continue forward into the unknown, and one they would both likely heartily take.

As Cyu and Sah’ra continued on towards the obelisk, the attention of the latter remained wandering as she watched carefully for any further signs of apparitions of the departed or similar. She began to mull on just what death actually meant for those who were woven with a connection to the Force, a subject that had often been a focal point of Sith of eons past but one that remained elusive and unclear. Only those who had died knew what truly came after, very few exceptions being rumored through their history. She was envious of their knowledge, answers that had been sought for generations only to be snuffed out and forgotten as life faded from their mortal bodies.

”Do you ever wonder,” Sah’ra began, eyes moving across the landscape with macabre fascination. While she spoke the words to the Acolyte that accompanied her, she mostly was simply thinking out loud though there was a degree of curiosity to what Cyu’s own insight may be. ”About what comes after? So many Sith have spent their lives in search of a way to prolong their time amongst the living rather than establishing themselves for our next chapter. Do we truly just cease to exist? Are we cursed to tie ourselves to others, to objects? Or is there another way to ensure we live on? Curious…”

The pondering thought posed by Sah'ra was an intriguing one, what did death mean to Cyutadakyr? The pureblood had always been the type to live in the present, to indulge, and live life to the fullest. The idea that something came after all of this was daunting, and not.

"Blood and bones turn to dust but deeds are immortalized. You cannot cease to exist so long as your mark upon history is sufficiently great that you are not forgotten. Can you name the last king of Korriban? No? Who established the rule of two? Do you see?"

Although that didn't exactly answer the champion's question in perhaps the way she proposed it. Cyu closed her mouth and looked away, out over the terrain in front of them before wondering out loud.

"If there were such a way to cheat death, what would you give to achieve it?"

An eyebrow arched as Sah’ra listened to Cyu’s opinion on the matter of life and death, finding herself taken aback by the degree of wisdom that she may or may not have intended to impart. Perhaps she had misjudged the Acolyte, wrongfully classifying her with the same subsection of their Order that had brought about their expulsion. While she still disagreed with her tendency on making intergalactic headlines, the Pureblood had a point.

”That’s… not quite what I meant,” Sah’ra replied, turning her attention to the other woman, her expression softening slightly albeit still soggy from the river. ”But I see your point. I suppose immortality is in the eyes of the beholder. Whether we go on with a beating heart or as whispers slipping off the tongues of those who come after us, we have achieved the same goal in a sense,”

The next question came as a surprise but it was a subject she had often contemplated in the past. ”I wouldn’t,” Sah’ra replied simply, turning her attention back to the walk ahead of them. ”It is the way of things. The old make way for the new. We teach them what we know and they take our knowledge, expand on it in ways we would never have dreamed possible. We all must die eventually if we are to strengthen ourselves,” Sah’ra paused for a moment, dwelling on what the galaxy would look like ten, a hundred, a thousand years from now. She didn’t wish to be a part of what came then, true, but she was envious that she would never get to see it herself. ”But if you asked what I would give for power in the time I walk amongst the living? There is no scope grand enough to encompass what I would give, as it should be with all Sith. It’s a shame that when we find it, or rather a shadow of what true power is, we use it in such misguided and pathetic ways,”

It seemed that Sah'ra wasn't the worst companion to wind the threads of time with, as both women surprised each other. They shared a similar view at the very least, not that this would change the overall suspicion that remained to be quelled. As they continued forward in their little contemplation, Cyu gleaned a little insight into the world of Sah'ra with interest nodding as she spoke.

Power was a facet of many things, pure unadulterated power could be seized through the utilization of the dark side for a cost, but few would ever find themselves ready or willing for such a transaction. Cyutadakyr fully embraced the school of thought that one should stop at nothing to achieve this, but getting to that point was another thing entirely. Curiously, the pureblood glanced back toward her with a query on her mind.

"Then how would you use it? if such power was yours to wield. Would you cull the meek, and seed the field? Destroy empires and traditions eons across?.... or I think you have something else in mind, no?"

As much as she felt a strong connection to the dark side, she still felt shackled by her own limitations. To free herself from such things and bring about such horrors that even the utterance of her name would be forbidden, would be her mark. But to what, would the galaxy, know Sah'ra?

A sinister smirk played across Sah’ra’s lips as Cyu asked her question. It was a good one, what did she plan to do with any power she managed to consolidate, but one that she would hold close to her chest. After all, trust was something that took time to develop and grow, doubly so when it is between two Sith.

”Only fate knows what is in store for each and every one of us, I’m afraid. In truth, plans can falter and fail much faster than they can come to fruition. More often than not, really. One may anticipate to step left but be forced to step back, putting these plans into words only accelerating such a possibility. Rest assured, if all goes as I have predicted, the galaxy will once again remember my family name. Until that day however, I believe it best to keep my intentions to myself,”

Sah’ra anticipated that such an explanation would only irritate the Acolyte with its hedgeful nature, though it was also likely Cyu would understand why Sah’ra was reserved in revealing her intentions.

Sah'ra proved to be as illusive with her words as she might have been with her feelings. The dark side lingered heavily in this part of the world and both women would feel its strong presence against them. The ruins around them spoke of battles long since past, each etching a mark of violence and struggle. The devastation was awash in a place like this and yet it brought happiness to the pureblood, a smile stretching across her face.

In perhaps the nicest way she could have said to the champion, Cyu purred with devilish intrigue. "Then you had better achieve something worth remembering."

Suddenly a strange cut caught her attention. Unlike the others which were caused by massive explosions and laser fire this one was more precise and personal. Its angle was unmistakable and could only mean one thing, there had been a duel here at some point. "What do you know of this place again?" The first thought was that they had been beaten here by another force sensitive but the markings seemed older and not recent.

It was hard to tell if they were part of the original battle or had come from a later visitor but suffice to say there seemed to point to evidence of some kind of duel leading towards their destination. Cyu was filled with the excitement of the possibilities, perhaps a Sith had slain a Jedi near the library in his search for power, or the Jedi had destroyed a weakling Sith. Either way, there would be certainly some way that they would benefit from their misfortune.

And achieving something she had every determination to accomplish. As the pair walked, they were both heavily aware of the darkness that washed over them. It was like a cool breeze, sending shivers down the spines of those unprepared to face it. While many would cower or flee, Sah’ra and Cyutadakyr pushed on in their search for the long hidden Krayiss Library. It wasn’t until the pureblood came to a stop to investigate the telltale signs of a lightsaber duel amongst the ship graveyard that Sah’ra took her eyes off the nearing obelisk.

”Krayiss was once one of the Five Sacred Worlds of the Sith. A fact I believe you are only too well aware of,” Sah’ra replied plainly as she too examined the molten incision. Cyu’s ancestry was tied to this world, much as it was any ancient Sith planet, and it was her bloodline that also ensured her to be the perfect companion for what was to come. ”The library I seek has been hidden away here for millenia. Most doubt its existence entirely. Yet there are some, both Jedi and Sith alike, that believe in the old tales and sought out its location and knowledge. They, like me, suspect there is more to them than simple stories. After all, every legend is born from a grain of truth. Of course, I’ve never heard of anyone successfully gaining entry,” she continued, the corners of her lips twitching with mischievous glee.

Sah’ra would turn back to the obelisk only to find herself in disbelief, the inky black outline of the construct missing from the orange hued skyline. ”What?!” she hissed. ”What is this magic?!” She would take a few strides forward as she frantically searched but she could see nothing. Like a ghost, the obelisk was gone. What remained however, was the ever looming darkness that circled the structure. No, it was here. It had to be here. ”The Force is… toying with us,” she muttered quietly.

The pureblood Sith were a proud race, their name declared as such. Its rich history and success might have been hidden beneath the greater success of the Sith Order over the millennia, but that did not extend to the erasure of Krayiss. The structure commanded the horizon and its magnificence could never be denied. The potent lure of the dark side continued to draw upon them, even as the tricks began.

"Then hear it now, for I, Cyutadakyr, shall do just that." In a flash, the obelisk disappeared from sight and left only a hazy mirage in its wake. A deep ominous rumbling sound started to bellow from below, as the ground gradually began to move. Flicking her eyes to Sah'ra with an imminent concern, she could only say one thing. "Run." If they couldn't make it to the library in time, they would need to find somewhere to hide, or worse, find another way to deal with what was to come.

Suddenly a large crack appeared in the dirt a hundred or so meters behind them, as the earth was forced open by something unseen but not unheard. A monstrous blood-curdling scream filled the air as whatever it was pulled itself up from its prison to deal with the invaders once more. Even without stopping to look, they would quite easily sense the dark side energy radiating off this alchemic creation.

Sah’ra quickly met Cyu’s gaze, sharing her look of concern as the ground began to rumble and quake before beginning to dart through the wreckage that surrounded them. As she ran, the ground behind her rapidly began to erupt outwards with small and large pieces of rubble alike crescendoing through the air and slamming back into the surface around them. Even as the sound of her heart pounded in her ears, the shrill shriek from the widening fissure was deafening and there was no indication of refuge as the obelisk still remained hidden away.

Soon the rubble ceased to fall, though the shrieking and oozing darkness remained. Sah’ra finally slid to a stop and turned to face the culprit of this bizarre scenario and came face to face with a creature of likes she had never witnessed before. An massive, eyeless, serpentine creature with several jaws, each lined with rows of razor sharp teeth and a hide that looked so thick that it could survive direct orbital bombardment. Whatever this thing was, it certainly was not natural. As it reeled back to cry out across the open chasm, Sah’ra watched with a combination of horror and delight whilst covering her ears. ”She’s…. beautiful,” the woman whispered through her voice cracking from fear.

As though it heard her, the beast snapped it’s head in Sah’ra’s distraction, seemingly ignoring Cyutadakyr for the moment. The human woman could feel the hostility emanating from the creature as it honed in on her scent before finally lunging at her, each jaw wide open. Reacting in the nick of time, the Sith woman leapt from the path of the attack, sliding across the dusty Krayiss soil behind a crashed fighter. ”Any ideas?!” Sah’ra called out to Cyu as the beast worked towards recovering, searching for it’s prey.

Well there goes that idea, she thought to herself. Whatever distance they had hoped to gain before their new host arrived to meet them was quickly dashed as it suddenly thrust itself to the surface. The beast was fascinating to behold, most definitely a product of the dark side and the meddling sorcerers of old. Power seemed to flow from it, pulsing and seeking out its prey.

Cyutadakyr watched as it sprung into a savage attack, sweeping toward Sah'ra without abandon, knowing that it was only a matter of time before the woman wouldn't react quick enough and be caught up in its razor-sharp grip. As a child she had grown up with story after story of the ancient's use of the dark side to manipulate and empower all manner of things, from blades and amulets to the most harmless creature one could imagine. Then to see such become a monstrous being with no sense of its former self, entirely bent on destruction and fulfilling its master's task.

The pureblood couldn't help but agree with her companion's assessment, and it would be such a pity to kill it, but what were their options? Attempt to outrun it and find a hidden structure? perhaps tame it? but was that even possible given the significant power that went into crafting such a perfect weapon?

"It must be a Sith-Wyrm." Cyu shouted semi-confidently. Its master would probably have found a way to protect its thick hide from a Jedi's lightsaber, or all but the heaviest laser fire from above. But that didn't mean that the Sith would create an invulnerable creature lest he lost control of it.

"I think we found the reason why you haven't heard anyone finding the library." Cyu barely finished what she was saying as the wyrm turned and lunged at her now, giving Sah'ra a little breathing room. The pureblood reflexes aided her in avoiding being its next meal for now but at the cost of being forced to roll into the dirt nearby. But at that moment something caught her eye, the creature's vulnerability revealed itself in plain sight.

"The tongue! it's the weak point, strike that and it'll be dazed." The tongue whipped its way around, acting as both a sensor and grapple trying to calculate the correct angle for its follow-up attack.

This creature, this wyrm as Cyu had referred to it as, was beyond any sort of alchemic creation that Sah’ra had witnessed in the past. The size was staggering, its cry deafening, its bloodlust and desire to protect its hoard something akin to the legends of old. Whomever it was that had meticulously crafted and altered this monstrosity into its current form must have been a prodigy in their art. A shame then, that it would likely force the two Sith to snuff its life from the plane of the living.

”Polite of them, feeding such a magnificent creation,” Sah’ra growled sarcastically in reference to any and all travellers who may have found their demise at the metaphorical hands of the Wyrm. As its attention shifted away from Sah’ra and towards the Acolyte, it inadvertently protected itself from any form of counter attack the woman could make against the suspected weak point of its design.

While Sah’ra was never keen on the concept of placing her own life in peril for the benefit of others, her travelling companion still had potential uses she wished to exploit. Allowing the Wyrm to devour the pureblood and using her death as a distraction certainly crossed her mind but now was not yet the time.

Sah’ra had mastered manipulating the minds of sentient beings long ago, her whispers through the Force driving those who heard them to madness or into a state of stillness, whatever she desired. Yet the singular mind of a beast, one crafted for nothing more than hunger, was something new.

As she stepped out from her cover, both hands raised at her sides with open palms facing the behemoth just as it reared back and prepared to lunge at Cyu once more. Much to her surprise, she quickly discovered that slithering her influence within it’s psyche was done with ease, a testament to her training and the powers of Krayiss flowing through her like a conduit of the worlds Force energy. Like a sculptor shaping clay or a master glass worker forming a work of art, the woman quickly took hold of the Wyrm and severed its ability to think, leaving the beast in a state of motionless limbo.

”I won’t be able to hold it…. For long!” Sah’ra grunted, a pained expression on her face as she wrestled with the Wyrm. Squinting her eyes shut, she planted the suggestion for the creature to open its mouth wide and offer its tongue to Cyutadakyr against its own will.

The magnificent beast thrashed and bobbed but even it in all its strength and might was bound by the oppressive nature of the force. The pureblood could sense the power ebbing from her companion as she spun maleficent whispers, which for the moment seemed to subdue it and more astonishingly, slowly pry its mouth open.

That one brief moment was all it took for Cyutadakyr to strike. With an outstretched arm, dark and potent energies began twisting and swirling between her fingers as the physical manifestation of force lightning was brought into this world against its will. With a domineering expression, she was determined to bring the Wyrm to heel, as her ancestors might have once before.

With a burst striking its face and tongue specifically, within the blink of an eye it went from being the hunter to the hunted. Such a vulnerability made it weak, but their opportunity would not last forever as they would soon find out. Even so, a loud bellowing groan emitted from the Sith creation, a testament to the pain it suffered under the attack.

Concentrating on keeping up her assault, she simply shouted to Sah'ra, "Join me, or we die." With their combined power it was unlikely that it would be enough to slay or even command it, but perhaps it would be enough to simply survive another day. No doubt had they arrived as masters, they would have walked away with a newfound pet.
