Mandalorian life was heating up. It was becoming increasingly difficult for Cuyan to simply hitch a ride or find a public shuttle. The guy had never bothered obtaining a personal ship for himself but it was quickly becoming time to do so. A fellow Mandalorian he had met through recent mission briefings decided to come along as well. It was more of a backup gun in case things got dicey. Ordo honor would not come from Cuyan dying on Ord Mantell alone while trying to steal a ship. That would be unfortunate.

"Here we are. This is the perfect place to get what I need. To get what... we need." He glanced to the other inquisitively after he spoke. "Maybe we'll find something for you too?"

A smirk crossed Cuyan's face under his helmet where it would go unnoticed. Selfishly he would take a shuttle and let the other hitch along without any benefit. If the guy had his own motives for coming it wouldn't be stopped, but he wouldn't risk his ship for some dumb errand. There'd likely be multiple shuttles to take or buy. Cuyan had no intent of actually paying for his though.

The city on Ord Mantell rose in the distance out here on the outskirts. These outer industrial zones sold cheap ships and had many shady dealers who would sell a ship to anyone. That was why they came here. Various yards were set up and the road through was smoggy. They'd have to explore to find the right target. Cuyan knew he wanted an Imperial-made ship of some kind to make travel easier. Just was not sure which yet.

James shook his head "No need the Setr does me just fine" James started surveying the crowd and ships around them. He gestured to the ships around them "See anything in this mess that is worth the trouble?

James still wasn't sure what to think of the shorter Mandalorian on the one hand he had always heard good things about Clan Ordo on the other here they were on Ord Mantell to "acquire" a ship for him. Regardless of his uncertainty of his fellow Mandalorian the man had requested him to back him up and James would not fail him.

A muffled chuckle was most of what Cuyan gave to the fellow Mandalorian in response. It seemed he was basically here to be helpful. That was nice. Though the question was a good one; where was a good ship for him to take? In current view it was too smoggy to see much further ahead and most of these ships were a bit too worn down, modified, or suspicious in some way. That was not how one slipped through the Galaxy seamlessly. The Ordo warrior would keep looking and wandering down the roadway, keeping an eye open. No one seemed to give the armored Mandalorians trouble for the most part. A few glances, a few murmurs here and there, were all at first. Except for one brutish Gran that decided the Mandalorians did not belong.

"You ugly T-faces! Go back to Mandalore! Don't bring your troubles here!" The man shouted from in front of his shop, a rather bold move to make in Cuyan's eyes.

A smart man might have kept walking or brushed it off. Cuyan was not too smart in the moment. He was tired of being labeled as a brute by ignorant scum who did not understand what the Sith had done. His patience was thin and the man had pressed into it a bit too hard. What had been an easily defused situation became much more at a snap of the finger. A pistol was drawn from the Ordo warrior's hip and he pointed it right at the Gran's face.

"How about you put something behind your words, you piece of bantha poodoo?" He hissed at the man, egging him on to start a fight just before firing a bolt at the man's feet. "Come on!"

The quiet trip had become much less quiet after Cuyan lost his temper. Many in the area took cover while a few reached for their weapons to watch carefully. No one wanted a big fight quite yet, but tensions were high. Cuyan did not care about anything except shooting this Gran in the face the moment it touched a weapon. Execution with honor, he would call it. It would be up to his partner, hopefully a less angry man, to try to defuse things a bit.

James rolled his eyes at the man's insult but he circled so that he had the Ordo warriors back as he went to confront the man. Cuyir gar warye ibic cuyir a jate enar burc'ya? James swept the crowd helmeted gaze daring any to add to themselves to the confrontation.
The blaster shot rang out behind as the ordo warrior challenged the man "Er osi'kyr" James shoulder his rifle as he did he noted a dozen blasters in crowd "Back off you want no part of this!" A second too late he realized this a bad idea as weapons were drawn from holsters. Today was certainly going to prove interesting "ner burc'ya Ni vercopaanir gar tsikador par a akaanir, baova Ni cuyir cataye warye mhi pabida solus."

All that the Mandalorians managed to do was take a spark and turn it into an explosion. Some heckling was quickly becoming a combat situation. Cuyan could feel rage for these idiots only rising as more went to weapons and the man he confronted even seemed to grow in boldness. The Gran started to flirt with drawing a blaster while another man off to his side did the same. These hicks, for lack of a better term, were biting off more than they could chew out of pride. A calmer Cuyan might have realized he wasn't much better, but he was a better warrior.

"Ok then." He said in an amused tone as he pulled the trigger right in the Gran's face while drawing his second pistol and hip firing into the other man's chest. "HAVE IT YOUR WAY!"

Cuyan dropped both men with deadly efficiency before twisting around with his pistols to see if anyone else felt like engaging. Most everyone else holstered or took their hands away from their weapons. It seemed the fight was not worth it to these shop vendors. That was for the best anyways. Cuyan did the same and nodded for his partner to move along before law enforcement decided to come inspect things. Smog worked in their favor for once as they got further away, it became harder to follow them.

"Let's give ourselves some distance..," Cuyan noted quietly in Mando'a to his partner.

He would push ahead to create distance, not paying much attention to what was in the shipyards nearby. They would get much further down before realizing they were basically at the end. Cuyan had not been paying enough attention and now they'd have to backtrack to find the ship. Worse yet, that meant heading towards any possible tracking law enforcement from the other incident. He swore quietly under his breath as he turned around. Nothing was said to his partner as he did not want to admit he had been so dumb as to not search.

James was utterly flabbergasted that they had managed to escape the situation without it turning into a full blown firefight he laughed out "Er da'ha Hod Ha'ran"

He looked the ordo warrior over "darjetii pehir burc'ya gar ganar bathas kandosii'la jate'kara" He shook his head "Sirbur burc'ya cuir sur'haai cuyir jate'shya ui t'ad meg cu'e be likr cuyir gar jivaor?"

Cuyan chuckled a bit in response to Bralor's amusement. It had not exactly been smooth or lucky as far as he was concerned, but maybe in a way. Finding the ship now would be easy enough if they both searched for it. That much was true. A second pass would hopefully be all they needed. It was not exactly a rare ship nor an illegal one. The Mandalorian warrior just needed something that was easy to fly around without a big Mandalorian flag on the outside and that wasn't public transport. Shouldn't be too much to ask.

"I think that's them!"
Came the shout of bad news from the silhouettes in the smog ahead.

Cursed luck was more like it. Clearly he did no possess the best luck in the Galaxy. If anything he was starting to feel quite the opposite. The very universe itself hated Cuyan, including himself. An honorable death even evaded him. The only silver lining for this was Cuyan spotted the ship he wanted. A shuttle just sitting in the bay right in front of them. Unfortunately the law decided to show up here as well.

"Inside now." He said to his partner in basic, not wanting to change languages after hearing basic. "That shuttle, we're fighting our way to it."

That was all he said before hip firing a few shots from his pistols into the smog ahead. Cuyan leveled the weapons as he ran forward, spraying random covering fire so he could make it into the bay for cover. Plus the ship itself would make a nice escape vehicle. This would be a real fight unlike the stare down with local hicks they had earlier. Cuyan quietly prayed that he wouldn't die in this scrap heap of all places.

James was I have a weird day first they had avoid one firefight only run smack dab into another. "Come you hut'uun, let's dance"

James launched himself across the intervening space hard and fast taking shots every time a bolt lanced out of the smog. Before he made it to bay with the shuttle a bolt struck him square in the chest plate it punch through the plate melting the undersuit and flesh beneath. He tumbled into a roll that skidded to a stop just inside the mouth of the bay.

As he came to his feet James started laughing and was not certain he stop. As he pushed himself up against the wall of the bay door and began providing covering fire he shouted to the other warrior "Ner Burc'ya Ni suitasayi ibic cuyir a tyra'de ca'nara at dasa'na a Ni draar narir pabida gar gai?"

Cuyan made it into the shop bay but watched his partner take a pretty solid hit. It was concerning until his partner started to laugh uncontrollably. Now it was more concerning. It was likely shock of such a painful hit. That direct hit, armor or not, had to hurt like mad. Some Mandalorians were crazy about how they handled pain. This guy was lucky he had armor to keep him alive right now but Cuyan knew he'd have to help cover him before he died foolishly.

"... Cuyan Ordo." He said slowly, eyeing his partner during a break in combat. "You should know that, maybe that blast messed with your brain a bit."

He chuckled at his partner but knew things needed to hurry along. He holstered his pistols and swung around his repeater. These punks were messing with serious warriors not the regular criminal scum. The pair of officers left standing turned inside to chase, but found themselves against military grade repeater fire rather than pistols. Automatic blaster fire cut them apart quickly but more would be on the way.

"Get to that shuttle before you get shot again." He said, a tinge of annoyance in his voice. "There will be more coming."

"Hey, you have to pay for that!" Said the bold shop owner off to the side hiding behind the counter with a rifle pointed in the air.

"No, I do not." Cuyan said while turning the automatic firing repeater to the counter, causing quite the overkill on the shopkeeper who was afraid and not offering a defense.

Unsteadily James made his way to the entry to the entry ramp of the shuttle. He hit the lever to lower the ramp. As soon the ramp lowered he boarded and knelt in the entry ready to provide covering fire when they came again.

Cuyan grumbled about more noise than he wanted to make here, but the job was done. Law enforcement would only be able to watch as the ship flew off into the unknown. The Ordo Warrior made his way up the ramp and closed it behind himself. He made his way to the cockpit and fired it up. No weapons on this guy but that just made it look all the more civilian and innocent. A smile under his helmet may have been hidden from view but he was excited to get the ship. This would be a boost for the future when he needed a quiet retreat.

"Good work, but get that shot checked out, okay?"
He said in basic, still in that mode as he read some information from the ship.

The pair would get off the planet, recover the other man's ship, and head home. It was a success as much as it could be called that. Cuyan would keep this baby locked up safely and have a nice travel ship now. No more hitching rides or public transport for him.
