Thus screamed the headlines of the tabloid that was being shown at the moment and Arok smiled gleefully at the newsflash from the HoloNet, chuckling aloud at the thought of his handiwork being carried out so successfully. He rubbed his hands with glee as a dark and cruel grin seemed to encapsulate his huge bloated mouth and he hungrily read more of the article with barely suppressed eagerness. He hungrily reached for a small treat that was left swimming in the aquarium residing next to his dais and stuffed his mouth with a wriggly morsel. crunching the animal with an almost carnal hunger. Never pausing to take his eyes off the screen Arok then awkwardly fumbled about for his Hookah as he continued reading through the HoloNews that was shown on the Nar Haaska press channels.

Arok laughed even harder at this, and with a belly heaving with mirth he flicked the Holographic projector off and went in search of 3D-4Z. Arok glided on his repulsersled towards the parlor where he saw Jaz Corban being admitted inside and directed towards Arok. Still grinning slightly Arok swept his repulsersled towards the human and with a gracious wave indicated that he should approach him. "<Good news Jaz, the operations have been successfully carried out - the Black Seraphs are now going to be so in debt and dependent on finding fast and hard cash that they will be looking for a sponsor immediately or they will go bankrupt. Thankfully, I have purchased their debts from the other debtors and we are now the sole collectors of the tens of thousands that the Black Seraph owe us. I have also taken the liberty to create a paper company that specializes in sports and will be offering them a contract in order to keep them in business. I propose that as part of the contract, I demand the money now and make a scene thus forcing them to pay up or forfeit the track. You then saunter in and offer to race them - and bet them three hundred thousand credits that you can beat their leader. Their debt is currently in the two hundred thousand mark, but if need be I can always finagle it so they have more "accidents">" the last word he said with another chuckle before continuing on.

"<I am sure that they will jump on the chance to take your money, but what they don't know is that you will win. And then they will owe us not only the whole track itself, but also three hundred thousand credits! We can use that money to fix up the track and rebuild it to intergalactic standards and then I think we should host a racing tournament. That will be sure to rake in a ton of cash for the both of us. What say you?>"

So now was the time that Jaz finally got himself something that would give Jaz at least a little bit of extra credits on the side, but on the other side it would give Jaz space of his own to modify his two ships but first he had to actually get the place he wanted first, this racetrack called Inkabunga Chawa racing track was going to serve it's purpose well.

Entering the building where the hutt Arok had asked the red haired man to meet him at, he heard something talking about the recent series of accidents involving the Black Seraph racing team and of course looking around he saw the hutt in question who seemed to be gleeing with joy with his handiwork organising the several "accidents" that had occurred, when Jaz saw the hutt gestering for Jaz to approach he moved closer and listened to the hutt

"Good good but for now I believe we shouldn't sabotage them anymore...at least for now, putting them into debt is good but last thing we need is a attempt to go wrong and put us in the spotlight"Jaz started to say listening to what else Arok had to say and nodded hearing the hutt's plan about Jaz challenging the Black Seraphs leader to a race, after walking in and offering to race them betting three hundred thousand credits

"This sounds good"

The red-haired soldier and erstwhile fighter ace walked inside the room, and patiently listened to 3D-4Z translate Arok's words with his usual flowery pomp before replying with his own ideas and ultimately agreeing with Arok. Smiling magnanimously at Jaz, Arok swept his repulserlift sled towards the main room where a lavish banquet awaited them, alongside a string of beautiful female human dancers who were just getting warmed up, and on the far corner a small quintet of Bith were playing softly on various pieces of musical instruments. All was well with the world and Arok was once more increasing his mark in the Cartel and making more money in the process, and Arok lost himself in the thoughts of how much more wealth and prestige this would give him, as well as annoying the well known Lorda of the Desilijic Kajidic.

Gaja Desilijic Vuul was well known for his obsession with speed and the machines that produced it, and was an avid fan of podracing and swoop racing. Arok laughed as he thought how the old Hutt would be in a rage at letting a top class track like the Inkabunga Chawa race track slip through his fingers, as well as the prestige of being the patron of the tracks champion racer as he won the various racing sets in the galaxy. Naturally, the Lorda would do anything in his power to influence Jaz to partner up with him instead, as well as sabotaging and impeding the construction efforts, but Arok was a Vosadii, not some punk Hutt who wanted to make a name for himself in the business and no one little Hutt would stand in his way!!!

As he escorted the Enforcer towards the main hall, he turned his eyes on the soldier and smiled at him "<I agree, it wouldn't do for them to become too suspicious of anything that had transpired so far and raise their guard. I will order my saboteurs off for now and we shall wait for more news on their situation while I go and make the offer.>" as they finally reached the main hall 3D-4Z finished his flowery translation, and sat down at the huge table, the lights dimmed to a semi darkness and figure descended from the ceiling while ritualistic music suddenly erupted from the corner with the Bith.

An alluring and beautifully haunting woman's voice started to chant as five figures descended from the heaven's and landed in a pool of water, their feet touching down on a flat stones and then started their dance - it was the dancers from before and as Arok settled in to watch them he looked appreciatively at Jaz to see if he enjoyed the show and the food. He laughed with delight and grabbed his hookah and with a swift breath sucked in the drug, before letting it out in a bunch of circle's floating through the air. Turning to Jaz he clapped the human on his shoulder and said with happiness - or at least what was construed as happiness for a Hutt - "<What do you think, Jaz? This is in celebration of our upcoming success with the racing track and I wanted to treat you to a good time>".

This meant nothing to Arok besides a diversion and some fun, but he knew that humans and their type enjoyed being showered with gifts and different types of entertainment, and it was another way to reinforce his bond with Jaz and make sure that if anyone approached him to undermine Arok, he would repel them and stay loyal to him. As the show progressed, 3D-4Z trundled up to Arok quietly and whispered in his ear, and then withdrew as quietly as he had come.

Arok apologized to Jaz and then withdrew leaving the human to enjoy the show and await his return. Making his way towards his personal room he pondered the message he had been given, it seemed that Shijo had made contact with the leader of the Black Seraphs and was pitching their plan to them as they spoke. Turning on the discreet holographic projector inside his room with a word, and then accessing the hidden button camera inside Shijo's armorweave vest Arok watched as the Weequay looking uncomfortable wearing a business suit and not carrying any visible weapons on his person, discussed the terms of their partnership and subsequent investiture in the swoop "team".

The Seraph leader was a tough looking Gran, who's rippling muscles and toned physique indicated that he was not just agile and quick but also extremely tough and strong. Shijo himself was no slouch and wasn't intimidated at all by the Seraph's leaders presence, and with concise and direct terms explained to the gang leader the terms of Arok's investment in his "company". Arok laughed with delight as he looked at the Gran's mounting anger at the "generous" terms, and his obvious discomfort at the fact that he knew he had no choice.

Turning off the holoprojector, he made his way back to Jaz and settled himself back down at the banquet, grabbing some exotic looking food and stuffing it into his mouth. Chewing with relish, and then taking a hit from the hookah he turned to Jaz and accidentally blowing some smoke his way he explained his sudden departure. "<I am sorry for leaving you in the middle, Shijo has contacted me and has reported a successful first preliminary deal with the gang. They are expecting me to arrive at their track this week. I suggest you get there already before me and establish your cover as an independent racer who’s looking to make a name for himself and thus distance yourself from me. I suggest you speak to the Kormtha Kajidic for a forged identity so they won't associate you with the Cartel or our little "accident" on Rishi>"

As 3D-4Z translated, Arok quietly pulled up the documents he would need and looked for as much information as he could find on the Black Seraph's and their circuit, as well as making arrangements for him to fly to Nar Shadda on a rented pleasure boat that would help build his reputation as a greedy and bored corporate flunky with too much money on his hands (not that it was too far from the truth he mused to himself) and waited for Jaz's reply.

Jaz followed the hutt to the main room where there was a banquet taking place, if this was for Jaz then in the man's eyes it was kinda pointless why have a party before they actually accomplish what they aimed for, and soon it was confirmed that it was for the upcoming success with the racetrack..well it was abit of a waste, at least in Jaz's eyes but kriff all hutts were like this party animals

"Heh I think it's good..really good"even if Jaz saw it as bit of a waste he could at least see what Arok was doing, and when the hutt excused hiself for the moment Jaz stood there listening and watching the events unfold until Arok came back which he did after a short while when smoke obscured his vision momentarily, wiping the smoke out of his face Jaz turned to face the hutt and listened as he reported that he left because Shijo had good news to give which was that the first meeting had went well and they were expecting Arok to arrive within the week.

"Good good..they have no idea what's about to happen.."Jaz spoke nodding as he heard the news, before listening to what else had to be spoken, which was to get a forged identity and pose as a independent racer, which would hopefully put distance between Arok and Jaz incase they would try to find any connections between the two..although he can't recall what accident happened in Rishi..he would have to ask that later on, or rather on his journey to the racetrack.

"That sounds like a good plan..well I better head off then and get the plan moving..I shall see you later on in the week at the racetrack"with a small nod with his head Jaz turned around and headed out of the building to get himself a forged identity, and transportation to the racetrack, leaving Arok to enjoy the banquet without the red haired man

Arok nodded at the red haired enforcer as he left the building and went to prepare for his upcoming race, and make for himself a reputation as the foremost racer in Hutt Space. Arok activated the holographic projector and called up the sales catalogue for racing swoops in Hutt Space, and as the holoscreen snapped into blue life in front of him, he called in Shijo and 3D-4Z to the room to help him find a couple of good models to serve as Jaz's swoop. Looking through the list of swoops, he caught different names and different models belonging to the various companies and Outlaw Tech outfits that made and modified the swoops for the discerning buyer and avid collector.

Being neither of the two, Arok asked Shijo to recommend him three models that he thought had potential and that could win the upcoming race for Jaz, nodding his assent Shijo looked through the list and couldn't help but feel a tinge of envy for the enforcer as he looked at the powerful and sleek speed demons that lay in front of his eyes. There was one that quickly caught his eye, a skybird racing swoop that was built Ubrikkian Industries and with its most recent repulserlift turbo engine was rumored to go at over 700 km/h; a Star Slinger swoop, that although still a prototype was rumored to be one of the fastest in the galaxy with its hybrid components; and last but not least a KV swoop that while slightly slower then the others, had a much higher flight ceiling and maneuverability rating.

While Shijo was engrossed with the swoop bikes, Arok was working on creating his "sports" company and looking through the possibilities of creating a good cover story for his own infiltration attempt. He knew that the Black Seraphs were no one's fools and were bound to search through the company in an effort to see if he was lying or not - after all, it was exactly what he would do if someone had approached him with an offer like that and claiming to be a CEO of a company. After thinking through the options available to him, which were pretty much creating a new company from scratch; inventing one, which would require a heavily talented slicer - luckily for Arok he had just the woman for the job on his payroll; or buying out an existing company and taking it over for the job.

After much deliberation Arok decided on taking the easy route, and just ordered 3D-4Z to go and buy a sports company and its affiliates to make it seem legit. It was far easier in the end, and as time was of the essence also far faster then going to the trouble of creating a false company that wouldn't hold up to a determined investigation without major investment, or the founding of a new company that wouldn’t have the name or the resources of an existing one. Looking through the stock market lists he quickly chose a company called Field Sports that had traditionally been active in the air powered weapons manufactory and using the last of his leftover loan from the Ryloth takeover to buy it out.

He was just in time for Shjio to call him to the station and show him the three models that he had selected as the optimum choice in his opinion and Arok nodded at him and authorized him to buy all three, before he moved on too organizing his transportation for the swoops to a secure storage facility, as well as sending Jaz the activation keys for all three of the swoops to his apartments. Rubbing his hands together with anticipation Arok grinned at how things were going so smoothly, and went to the dining hall to eat some exquisite food as celebration for all the hard work he had done so far.

NAR HAASKA, Y’TOUB SYSTEM
GLA SOOCHA
THE GLA SOOCHA STARPORT

A few days later…

The beautifully appointed and richly decorated SoroSuub Corporation Luxury 5000 space yacht landed on the planet Nar Haaska, at the Gla Soocha Swamp region and Arok slowly slithered off the space yacht and onto his hoversled, moving out of the hangar bay and out towards the waiting luxury speeder that would take him to his hotel. He was scheduled to meet with representatives of the Black Seraph during the week and he wanted to be fully ready to deal with them, not tired and irritable from the flight.

At the Hotel, Arok checked into his room and after Shijo prudently checked it for electronic bugs and surveillance cameras, they settled in for the night. The next morning Arok went to the track itself to see with his own eyes the layout and facilities that were on hand, so that he could gauge for himself the potential worth of this endeavor.

Jaz had spent his time well racing against others all in the attempt to gain abit of a reputation as a good racer, which was nessecary for when the time came for Jaz to bet against the leader of the Black Seraphs for the group's racetrack...of course he had the help of Arok the hutt..and the solider was sure that the hutt was already making preparations for Jaz's success, he had little difficulties with attaining a cover of a decent racer so there would be no connecion between Jaz or as his new alias Karl Darlson and the cartel.

"..."back at a apartment on the planet Jaz received activation keys for three swoops, and he took his time to inspect the swoops and determine which one he should use, and decided to go with the star slinger because it had both good speed and manuverability which is the best for racing, and so Jaz prepared himself for the next day which was when Arok was to arrive on the planet and talk to the swoop gang acting as their sponsor, and so Jaz took the swoop bike and drive to the racetrack and wait for the arrival of the hutt

"...."once he got there Jaz got off his bike and started to observe his vehicle making sure everything was set for the race noticing that his swoop looked to be heavily modified

Arok took his time before finally meeting with the Black Seraphs; site seeing, attending the races, meeting with several representatives of the planetary government in the capacity as CEO of Field Sports, and in general having a good time. All this posturing was meant to establish his credentials and build his reputation, as he was sure that the Seraphs were tailing him day and night and he wanted to give them the impression that he was exactly who he claimed he was (the irony was the he wasn't lying when he claimed to be the CEO, he just didn't tell them ALL the details of his "employment history").

When he finally got around to meeting the head of the Black Seraph's he could tell that the Gran was looking slightly annoyed and worried. He stood slouched, his shoulders hunched, brooding eyes starting at everything and at nothing at the same time, foot tapping nervously and a nervous tic twitching from his left eyestalk that he tried to suppress. He was dressed in a hand me down suit, with a small stained tie lying forlornly across his chest in an attempt to look respectable, but only made him look comic. This sentient belonged in pilot's leathers, black gloves and a spiked jacket to complement his already gangster look, with bulging muscles and a certain grace to his step that hinted of his razor sharp reflexes showing his true calling.

Arok looked him up and down and then sneered at him, taking a deep hit from his Hookah and then blowing a great stream of smoke straight at the Gran. While seemingly a gesture of contempt, the Hookah leaf itself was laced with gliterryll and thanks to his near constant smoking Arok was mostly immune to the effects of such a small dose, the Gran himself wasn't and as he accidentally inhaled some of the smoke it slowly seeped into his body, running its insidious tentacles through his blood stream and throwing his sharply calibrated reflexes just a hair off.

"<Greetings, Mr. Gromph. As you no doubt know, your little track here has been having some...>'' Arok trailed off as he watched the Gran and then smiled widely "<...difficulties. It has come to my attention that you are in need of an infusion of wealth in order to keep your racing track solvent. I propose that we sit down and discuss the terms of our partnership, and we can both go home happy and secure. What say you?>''

The Gran looked a little uncomfortable, but nodded and motioned for Arok to follow him. They entered the offices of the Gran and he then dismissed his followers with a few sharp commands. Once it was just the two of them he turned to Arok and looked him in the eye "You are correct that we have been a little strapped for credits, but that is none of your concern. We are well on our way to paying off our debts and will be back in full racing mode by the end of the month. If you are interested in investing in us, then let us talk business and ignore that slight blemish on our reputation. We as you no doubt know, have one of the most prestigious racing tracks in Hutt Space and are home to several of the sports most legendary figures - plus our track is a top notch track that calls sentients from across the galaxy to attempt the course."

The Gran folded his arms and with a smile that seemed to pronounce his victory in this verbal joust looked at Arok smugly "So what can YOU do for us? What will you do for the track that will make it even better then it already is?". Arok nodded to the Gran conceding the point, for now, and his estimation of the wily Gran rose a notch. He clearly wasn't anyone's fool at all and he sat back down on his hoversled to rethink his strategy.

While Arok talked to the owner about the debts, Jaz on the otherhand was at the starting line along with other riders in their swoops, most of them were here to try their luck beating the racetrack, whilst Jaz was here for another perpose all together, and once the race started everybody drove their swoops at incredible speeds all racing to get to the best positions..a few losing their balance and thus ended up being outside of the pack losing precious moments to get back in the race, a small number of unfortunate souls crashed, increasing the number of wrecks on the racetracks.

"..."glancing to the sides of his swoop he could see racers barging into each other trying to muscle their way past regardless of the risks to their lives and swoops, Jaz however stayed his course trying to stay out of the pushing match, at least long enough for more racers to crash, which would allow Jaz to get further up the leader board, besides something told me that rushing up ahead wasn't a good idea especially since he had no idea what the layout of the track was like
