Tiamat was staring at the feet, momentarily forgetting she was there to learn more about the Entity as she seemed to be drawn into the tragedy of the hermit's feet. By the moment she was becoming more certain this was how Emryc felt when encountering something dirty. The redhead took in a deep breath as the hermit agreed with displeasure that Renfry did need her to answer questions. Which, it might as well been Renfry asking the questions since hermit-gross-toes was still just as unhappy.

Tiamat folded her arms, "Tell me about the Entity: where did it come from and why does it seem there is not a permanent solution to banishing it?" she asked, really uncertain herself on where to start in her own understanding of what she experienced in the cave.

She glanced at Renfry to gauge her response before turning her attention to the hermit.

Renfry watched Tia watching the woman's feet, continuing to stand in a corner of the room as she did.

The old woman actually laughed at Tia's question, seemingly finding it quite hilarious that anyone would ask something like that. Only a child would ask why they can't banish the fabric of the universe, she said.

The Entity is simply the power of the Hunt given a mind, she said. It has consumed worlds before and it will continue to bide its time, but it will find a way to creep back into this world one day, she said.

Renfry recognized the wordage chosen by the old woman. She was describing the Dark Side, though that term wasn't one the Nightsisters customarily used. The darkness given form and sentience? That didn't sound good.

The stories say that the Jedi or their Exiles first awakened the Entity, coming back from the Unknown with a parasite of the Entity's own creation.It was a way for it to watch the galaxy and exert its control, but those were only rumors, she said.

Now, I'm due for my siesta, so if you two wouldn't mind leaving my home, I can get back to my very busy schedule, she said with a scowl.

Luckily the old woman speaking was distracting enough to keep Tiamat's gaze from falling back to the feet. There was a part of her that wanted to press Renfry to mandate proper foot care around here. Internally she frowned though as the hermit described possibly just as vaguely as Renfry did regarding the Entity. However, the details she gave were more sinister and if she weren't mistaken, it sounded like she was describing the darkside...but with awareness and ambition. This of course went beyond the natural darkness that resided in the galaxy and where her and others pulled their magick and abilities.

However, what made Tiamat's stomach drop was the realization what she brought back with her from the cave. There was a flicker of anger that they brought her back from the cave, but now it was too late, she was the host. Just like any parasite, it would consume, and it would have no limits except for what her physical body could allow. The redhaired woman pursed her lips when the old hermit announced it was time for her siesta. Her thoughts begun to argue, trying to give her some reassurance that what she did in the cave was the only choice to get out.

Tiamat folded her arms and looked at Renfry, her scowl returned and she feel back into a brooding mood. "Only rumors certainly..." she agreed but there was no conviction in her tone and walked out of the hut, uncertain if she could handle anymore information of the curse that now shared her.

Renfry wasn't particularly sad to be leaving the old hermit's hut. It was a particularly nasty place, and one that made her feel uneasy for more reasons than poor hygiene and bad sanitation.

Little was said as they made their way back to the palace, but in short order, they had arrived and Tia - more broody than normal - took her leave. The question turned over in Renfry's mind several times after the other woman left. She wasn't normally this shifty, but something had happened in the Unknown Region. Hopefully Tia would come to tell her with time....
