IC Networking Part-ayyy

so i know weve had jack-all going on around here (which is totally fine btw i know its difficult to keep a faction running) and i thought id toss up a thread for us senators to do while the faction leadership gets sorted out. a networking social event, if you will. a party for pretentious rich people to get drunk at and hit on each other, if youd prefer.

itll be hosted by my fashion-forward senator, katya, and all senators, BA, and jedi are invited. also high class well behaved republic-associated indies (no ruffians, they do card at the door :p). its for all of the above people to network, form connections, form alliances, form illegal partnerships for illegal bizniz, and also an excuse for my senator to make buddies/allies and for my senators cousin to find someone who wants an errand boy/aid.

interested? questions? comments? suggestions? cries of outrage? rsvp/reply below! the thread has not been started yet but all who are interested will be tagged and ill also let people know when its posted. my last party thread i did a million years ago went well, so i figured "eh, might as well." after all, senators are known for throwing lavish parties while they steadfastly ignore galactic-wide poverty!

Actually, how would you like to use The Grand Oasis for your party? We are having an opening night. Gregory (my senator) is not affiliated with the Exchange, but he'd show up there as well. It's supposed to be a 5 star resort and casino.

If it would suit your needs, since the exchange are criminal bastards we can always setup an ask thread that is a closed off private room for senators, as i'm sure assassination is a fear.

tbh i cant see a reason for your characters to be there since this is a closed private room with senators and very wealthy people. also theres no posting order, just so everyone knows, its just whoever wants to post whenever since its just a social thread where everyone can mingle (or get drunk and go hook up in a coat closet).

I was thinking of using Alaasha my Jedi, but tho lot currently doesn't look like a type of thread she would be in.

Can you provide a valid and logical argument as to how he could be at this event? The person who would be doing the inviting would be my character, Gregory Rhone.
