As it stands, the training guidelines are a long, rambling speech that doesn't really tell you anything, and where it does, it's fairly ambiguous. So rather that this:
Training in the Jedi has always been a problem, leading to Padawan's being placed under multiple masters, or just dropping off the grid entirely. I do not want this. I want to see as many knights as possible bustling in the order soon. As such, getting to Knighthood is going to be less rigid. The Master-Padawan system that is just seen as a hurdle has been tweaked. As such, It will be done in a new and snazzy way.

While each Padawan will still be tutored one on one by either a Master or a Knight, that teacher character will take on a much more supervisory role in some respects. Each master will be expected to train the Padawan just like old times, in a thread on one of the Jedi worlds, where they will still teach powers and lightsaber forms. On top of this, though, there's going to be a whole new aspect to the training of a Padawan.

This new aspect is Roleplaying. Simply using abilities will have your character slowly develop them. Be it in traditional training situations, missions, adventures with other Padawans, or even social RPs, using Force powers will over time hone them and allow you to work on others. Naturally, trainers should accompany Padawans to gauge their progress. It is recommended that a padawan is given some basic training before they go gallivanting off on missions, so that padawan at least have some knowledge of what they are doing. Once you feel you’ve gone through enough threads, learned enough Force powers, and generally finished being a Padawan, ask your trainer to put you forward for Knighthood.

If you need some ideas for what to RP, we've got them: holocrons, visiting the Jedi Archives, or even pivotal moments in roleplays where your character *needs* to improve to save their skin. Of course, that doesn't mean we're telling you to go OVER 9000!!!!! When your opponent has their lightsaber to your neck, so we expect you to act responsible. Your imagination is the limit, so take these ideas and expand upon them in whatever direction you want to go in.

Another fancy little thing we’ll be doing is large group training sessions for Padawans or Knights by each of the council members or the Masters affiliated with them. These will occur at the temples that each council member is based at. These can apply to the Rping of the Padawans, and be a nice little boost for you Knights wanting to go into a certain area of Masterhood.

Now, as said before, as a Padawan, your teacher will determine when they feel you’re experienced enough to advance. When a Knight or Master feels this way, PM Kit with the appropriate threads, and he will decide if the Padawan is worth of advancement, if not, he will suggest how to make the Padawan worthy.

I'm saying we replace it with something like this:

In order to advance from Padawan to Knight, the following conditions must be met:

- Basic training in the force
- Basic training with a lightsaber
- At Least two threads that aren't solely for training.

(this guarantees at least three decent length threads, with hopefully some kind of inter-padawan socialisation)

It is strongly advised that you engage in as many threads as possible, as these requirements are the absolute bare minimum to even be considered for promotion. Once you have achieved these, you can then begin to round out your character, so that they are ready to become a Knight.

The best way to do this is to use the character to roleplay with them. Use their skills, go on missions, socialise with other Padawan's, and enter into the main story board. These will all help your chances of promotion, with a lot of weight given to RP's of a high quality.

Once you feel ready, you can post HERE (link to promotion thread) or PM one of the council. Your character will then be evaluated for promotion. You will receive a reply, where you will be told that you have been promoted, or with advice on what to do to get closer to promotion.

I like it, but I would definitely clarify for the trainers to post that they think their padawan is ready, otherwise I think there will be a real swamp of padawans who obviously are not ready.

Easily edited in. Though I think it should lend weight, rather than be a necessity, because otherwise those who've trainers have dropped off the radar (or those who've trained themselves) are screwed.

Also, working on Knight to Master as we speak, though it'll be trickier, with nothing to build off.

For the Knight to Master progression, looking forward to seeing what is developed, as last timeline one of the requirements was 'must have trained at least 3 Padawans fully', as well as being active/participating in Jedi threads etc. With the different training system this time around, if one of the requirements is to still be regarding the number of threads taken part in, then I'd assume missions/group classes and all are all taken into account?
