Identify Friendly Forger

It was Koil's first time on Bimmisaari but not the first time interacting with their people. He had met the man they were meeting before on another planet once, awhile back. He had a knack for forging digital and programmable certificates. But he must have annoyed someone or become too well known by the wrong people because when the War Councilor contacted him the man had given him a condition for the job. If Koil wanted his IFF credentials for the smuggler he was hiring he would have to get the forger out of harms way.

Koil stood across from the pacing short bimm who. He looked like some sort of dwarvish creature more than anything. "They're coming...they'll have blasters. lots of blasters." From behind his faceless V slit helmet Koil just stared and wondered if it was even worth the effort to calm him down. They were holed up a few doors down from his original room in case someone decided to come.

It was best if they did not have any run ins with the police but bounty hunters could be dealt with. This was the mid rim, a little less outlaw than the outer rim but not by much. Checking his wrist chrono Koil grabbed the Bimm and made him still.

"They'll be moving in soon." He told his partner. Slicing the surveillance of the building had proved useful. There were two teams of bounty hunters. Over a dozen total and probably more nearby. That was why Koil had said to stay away from the windows in case they decided to take shots from a distance.

As if on queue the holo projector showing the back stair case showed half a dozen hunters moving up with the front stair case mirroriing it. "You want the front or back?" He asked simply and pulled out one of his quickdraw blasters.

Leaning against a wall, watching the little man pace back and forth made Will smile a bit. He wasn't sure why it made him smile, maybe it was because he was so much smaller, or that he pissed off the wrong people and got two big mean Mando'ad to guard him and get to safety. Will looked at Koil, he might not be able to see Koils face, but he got a feeling Koil was wondering if this was even worth the effort.

Ahh, finally some action, Will was beginning to get bored with this little thing moaning and raving about come the big bad hunters would take him. Placing his helmet over his head, he checked his weapons one last time and walked over the Koil to have a look at the holoprojector. "The back, so you get to enjoy the front" joked the red-haired man with a chortled laugh and drew his both his "Strill" Blaster Pistols. Will walked out of the room and entered the back room where the back staircase was located. He managed to enter the back staircase without being heard and made a quick glance down the spiral staircase. *1, 2, 4, no~ 7* counted Will in his mind and smiled. He directed his two blaster pistols down at the bounty hunters and lit up the staircase. He managed to kill 1 and wound 2, making the rest throw themselves into the wall and away from the opening hole that went all the way through the top to the bottom of the staircase.

The sudden attack from Will, made the Bounty Hunters temporary stop their attempt to get up the staircase for a minute before some started to return fire, while others continued slower up the staircase. When the Bounty Hunters returned fire, Will got a bit too excited and was about to lean over the railing again to fire another row of fire, but some of the Bounty Hunter's blaster fire hit his pauldron, gracing it.

Rolling for a surprise attack

William was happy but then again the only type of expressions he ever saw on the man's face was either happiness, confusion, or the typical badger violence. His fervor for combat was matched by the brightness of his red hair.

Koil moved the opposite direction of his fellow Badger. His quickdraw blasters were drawn and ready. Looking down the hall he moved with booted steps and was thinking of heading up a staircase further up and then coming down behind the rising attackers.

As he got to the base of the steps the window beside him crashed as a blaster bolt slammed into the framing. Koil jumped to the up the stair as another one flew past where he had been standing before. There was a sharp shooter outside. That meant there were more enemies than he had originally thought. They had a bounty hunter on overwatch and there was not much Will and he could do about it with a dozen enemies inside the building.

"They've got a sniper outside. Maybe more than one." He warned the Marauder hearing his shootout begin. The front approaching bounty hunters would no doubt know Koil's general location now and his plan to flank them was trash now.

[William Hackett Solus]

Will dropped down behind railing again for a brief moment to holster one of his blasters and grabbed one of his frag grenades to arm it. He rose quickly from his cover and threw the frag grenade down at one of the lower levels on the staircase. A successful *clang* sound came and the screams that followed of the three front bounty hunters that surrounded the grenade. Will kneeled down as the grenade went off and drew his holstered blaster and continued to fire at the either dead or near dead bodies, just to make sure.

"Sounds like a party over there!" Replied Will back to Koil with a rather exciting laugh. Will started to slowly walk down the staircase as he lit up the lower levels whenever she saw the bounty hunters trying to peek out to where Will was located. "That's right ya shabs, keep doing that and you might get a quick death!" Yelled the red-haired Mando'ad with a wide smirk. Will might be overconfident sometimes and two bounty hunters used that to their advantage. As one peeked out for just a moment, getting Will to fire at him and missing, another bounty hunter tried to shoot at him but missed as well, though it got Will to drop behind the railing for a moment.

This was not good. He was on his backfoot with a sniper somewhere outside. The attacking bounty hunters on the front stair well were coming up. He could hear them and their positions being made. Quickly he holstered one of his blaster pistols and pulled out an an adhesive grenade.

The opening of the stair well door told him to prime the grenade. Koil held onto the device for two seconds letting it cook. Booted feet of the bounty hunters moved into the hallway. Pivoting down the stairs he quickly tossed the grenade. The guns for hire let lose some bolts but none managed to hit the War Councilor before he got back out of sight. A sound of surprise left one of the attacker's lips seeing the grenade. Luckily for them the grenade was non lethal and the noise was almost followed by a sigh of relief.

With four of the attackers rooted in place Koil came back down and began firing the moment that the lead was in view. One down, two down, then a third and even a fourth. But the Mandalorian had to go back into cover again as the last two returned fire, burning holes in the wall beyond where he had previously stood. William called out to him but Silent Badger was not interested in mid fire fight banter. His sole focus was to neutralize these bounty hunters and keep the forger safe.

[William Hackett Solus]

"Sooran, shab!" yelled Will with a cackling laugh as he's slowly moved down the stairs with raised blasters in both hands. Four out of the seven bounty hunters laid dead on the staircase, blood was plastered all over the surrounding walls and stairs. It looked like a bloodbath. A few steps down, Will saw the two wounded hunters, trying to keep themselves from bleeding out, which Will quickly took out with each a shot to the head.

One hunter left and he knew it, 'cause he to come up with multiple offers, everything from credits, too great treasures. But before Will even got to reply, the hunter started to wildly shoot from his cover behind the railing. "How unfortunate, I would have taken the offer and let you go pass me" yelled out Will, which amazingly enough, it got the Bounty Hunter to stop firing for just a few minutes. "So, you'll take my offer?!" Asked the hunter surprised and the hunter got his asked.

"Of course, I won't your shab" replied Will and couldn't believe it got the hunter to actually stop for a brief moment. They returned firing at each other for a few minutes until Will jumped the guy, which turned into a good ol' wrestling match. The fiery-haired Mando'ad got the upper hand and just started to force his fingers into the man's eyeballs, making the hunter scream in horrific pay. Frantically hitting Will's armoured shoulders in an attempt to make him stop, but to no avail. The mandalorian rose but the bloody mess of a bounty hunter below him and started to walk up the staircase again.

"This is Will, tangos are down" commed Will to Koil.

The man moved back up the stair case. Shots hitting the wall just behind him as the hunters tracked his movements and tried following him up. They were not going directly for their original target, the forger. Instead they were making sure that no opposition remained. But that meant they were following for Koil's diversionary tactic.

Once he got up an extra level the Echani vaulted over the railing and came down ontop of the bounty hunters that were giving chase. He fired once into the back of the lead hunter's head. The one that had been behind got a frantic shot off that his the mandalorian's back arm. Rolling onto his back he let lose a flurry of bolts into the chest of the man in response.

The body fell to the ground and Koil was laying there among them for a moment with his pistols still raised, waiting for something to move. But William's voice came over the eerie silence saying he had dealt with his side. Getting up with a grunt Koil quickly changed out the ammunition loaded in his weapons. "There's still at least one sniper outside. Maybe more." He warned his clan mate.

[William Hackett Solus]

Making his way back to the room, where their little friend was hiding. The little creature still looked like he's seen a ghost as he started to ramble. Luckily for Will, he didn't really listen to the dwarvish creature and swept his rifle from his shoulder. Entering Koil's side of the building, Will crept forward by the walls, to get by the window. The red-haired mando'ad slowly peeked out the window just enough, to scout the neighbouring buildings for any snipers.

Will didn't get much more than ten to twenty seconds of scouting the opposite buildings before a couple of shots flew right by his helmet, marking the wall behind him with black small crater looking holes. One shot even gazed his helmet, but only just, before Will pulled back. Another set of five shots followed soon after, piercing the wall, making Will kneel down, not to get shot through the wall. "It's almost like they wanted to kill us" laughed Will behind his faceless white and red helmet. "I counted 2 snipers on the roof of the building opposite to where we are" explained Will, looking over at Koil.

Koil knew that with his blaster pistols he was not likely going to be able to take someone out at extreme range. He had his wrist rocket but that would not be very good for collateral damage. The Echani did not want chunks of building raining down on people below.

"I'm going to the roof." He put simply and started jogging up the stair well. Stopping before he got to the door he activated his bulwark shield gauntlet. Also he adjusted his jetpack so that it would be in flight mode. He wanted to make sure that he had as many things in his favor as possible for what was to come.

Once it was up he opened the door and immediately began to run. The run turned into a flight as his jetpack took him off the ground and towards the buildings that he heard William indicate the shooters were targeting them from. He could not see them at first but after they started shooting at him Koil could see them without a doubt.

Bolts wizzed passed him but none of them even struck his shield as he did his best to zigzag out of the way. For now he had them distracted and was making his way towards the building they were holed up on. One was a trandoshan by the looks of it on a roof and the other was in the shadow of a rooftop awning making him hard to find. Silent Badger was able to land on part of the roof that was behind some heating units that provided cover but was still holding the attention of the two sharp shooters.

[William Hackett Solus]

Will followed Koil to the roof and while Koil jumped off and flew to the other building, Will kneeled by the small top-wall on the roof and lined up his fire. The moment Koil got safely behind the heating units on the other building, opened Will a rain of hellfire upon the two bounty hunters. he forced them to seek cover, providing Koil chances to get really close, maybe even get within line of fire for a kill.

The sniper had pulled a blaster rifle, laying his sniper rifle on the ground and tried to return fire, but none of the shots connected with Will. The other one, the one in the shadow, begun to sneak around, to get a sort of flanking position.

The other guy started to shoot wildly at Koil's position while beginning flanking Will, forcing him to switch target. Will ducked just for a moment, "Koil, take out that ugly farker that's trying to flank, I'll keep the lizard busy" relayed the red-haired Mandalorian to his fellow clan member. Right after he replyed his message to Koil, returned Will fire at the trandoshan, keeping him from getting a good shot at Koil or Will.

Zap, ping, sizzle, all these sounds were loud and close as the two sharpshooters kept trying to pierce the heavy industrial sized cooling unit that Koil was behind. Additional weapon fire from William added to the myriad of sounds. This would likely attract some law enforcement officers if they had not already been called from the violence inside the building.

Hearing William's voice come over his helmet's communication link he did not respond. Instead he just acted. Moving around his cover counter clockwise he had his bulwark shield up in front of him. In his right hand he held one of his quickdraw blasters. The face of one of the bounty hunters quickly came into view. He probably had been hoping that Koil would be hunkered down and flat footed behind the cover and not charging out to meet him.

Pulling the trigger one he fired into the man's center of mass. The typical double shot of medium blaster damage to his chest would take him out of the fight perminently. Koil did not stop moving though. He dove behind the cover in front of him, not slowing own his charge even though the man was dead. The other sharp shooter could still shoot at him so he wanted to make sure he was out of harms way and allow William the chance to take him out.

Will heard the loud blast from somewhere close to where Koil was, but couldn't see who got shot. But, he expected a darn War Councillor was able to take care of himself. Will duck as a shot flew past his helmet and popped up and fired back at the trandoshan. Over what felt like a couple of minutes, due to the constant duck and shoot between both sides, Will finally got the damn lizardman in the shoulder.

The trandoshan fell down to the side, revelling his whole upper body out of his cover. The red-haired Mandalorian smiled behind the cold mask of his helmet and fired the last shot from his rifle, emptying the charge pack. The half of the Trandoshan's head exploded on impact from Will's shot, covering the roof with blood, brain mass and gore where the Trandoshan laid. "Lizard is down, going back down to our little paranoid friend" relayed Will to Koil, "oh and we might want to get a move on, I hear sirens" added the fiery red-haired Mando'a as he left the roof.

Down below at the streets, the local law enforcement has just arrived at the location and was in the middle of locking off the streets, surrounding the building. Going back down, Will reloaded another charge pack into the rifle, before entering the room the little guy was hiding in. "Already, the law enforcement just join our fun, we're waiting for Koil and then we're out of here" announced Will to the Bimm. The Bimm was about to leave his good skin, of all the stress. First bounty hunters and now the law enforcement! He was not about to get captured by the law enforcement and went for the back door in an attempt to flee.

However, he never really got far, as he got grabbed by his arm, "Woah, where do you think you're going little one?" Asked Will, holding an iron grip around the Bimm's arm. The Bimm frantically started to say all the usual stuff about how he couldn't go to jail, if they didn't leave now, they would get caught and yarda yarda yarda.

Looking up from his cover, Koil had his blaster raised. But there was no further call to use it. The hostiles in the area had been defeated. Slowly but surely the War Councilor got out and checked the bodies to make sure they were dead. Well, the trandoshan was definitely down.

The sound of sirens and commotion were reaching the echani's ears at this time. He double checked his weapons, reloading them. Afterwards he hopped over to the same side of the roof that William was on. The man did not have a jetpack and neither did the Bimm. Koil was not going to be able to help too much in that regard then.

"Fire escape" He directed William. The police were only in front and would not have surrounded the building. They had a time to get out of here and blend in. Chances were it would look like some sort of gang shoot out or the bounty hunters maybe fighting one another for some target. Whatever the case, it would take them some time to figure it out.

While they made for the back, Koil pulled out an adhesive and concusion grenade. Turning off his bulwark shield he threw each of the grenades down. The timer was active and some of the street police saw the ball devices knowing what they were. One shouted while the others tried to dive out of the way. It was not meant to actually stick them or do damage, just distract the public servants a little bit longer.

Turning from the edge of the roof the Silent Badger knew that this was not a place to dawdle. Instead he lead the way for the escape of the two mandalorians and their package. "You better be good at what you do." The man muttered as they disappeared into another part of the city and out of harms way.
