IL Question

Howdy! I'm probably going to be offing my Sith soon, and I was wondering a few things about an Imperial Legion.

It says that only a "skilled" Navy Commander would be able to captain a corvette or cruiser. Would that mean to captain one you would have to distinguish yourself IC, or could you start out commanding one?

Second question, would it be plausible for a Republic defector to be an officer (or join at all) or would there be too much stigma surrounding their past?

First: Don't off your Sith, he's a badass. I have a character that I'm working on that I'd like to a thread with him . On the other hand, I fully support making an Imperial Legionnaire (You can have three main faction characters now, in case you didn't know.). I'd personally prefer IL characters reach the rank Admiral before they pilot anything above a Frigate. That said, after a few threads as a Naval Commander, I'd be cool with you piloting a Corvette though.

As for your second question, that's totally possible, but he'd be vetted heavily by both the Legion and the Inquisition to assure his allegiance.

That means a lot, actually! I'm just having a really hard time getting inspired writing for him. I'll definately rethink killing him off without giving him some time.

As for the Navy guy, I am totally fine staring with a smaller ship. Would all of the general-use tech frigates be in use by the Empire?

Woo!! Yeah, I've got an Initiate in the works, who's gonna be a tank-y Templar character, I thought it'd be cool for them to have a sparring match or do a mission together in the future.

**EDIT** To answer your other question, yes, you'd be able to use any of the ships on the site that are on the 'free market'. We also have a few ships in our Faction tech, and more to come.
