ooc: I don't know if the caves have been destroyed or not in someones rp already so if they have been just someone ooc about it for me

The extreme cold of the near-dead planet Ilum was harsh to some.. Although freezing may be an even better death to a man than the death that the native Gorgodon would bring upon them.. Once they got a hold of you, there was no breaking from there deadly squeeze, usually crushing the prey, unless the lack of oxygen got too them first.

But this day there was a bigger threat than a Gorgodon or the cold, a man with no fear or mercy for his enemies was on the arise once again, for the first time in years, but perhaps just many months. The ship that carried the man had just touched down on a ledge of a near-by mountain after sending a shocking blast from it's laser's onto the supposedly, important, Crystal Caves.

With wind blowing hard and the snow seizing for miles, it was colder than usual, the bitter wind would touch many and bring doubt of survival for most. Which was why Artyr had made his way to a small cave on about the half-way point of the towering mountains that made its reach over the Crystal Caves. The cave close to the ship, and it was not habited by any of the native Gorgodon's, who were more keen to the lowlands of the frost bitten planet, although with a long stretch the cave led elsewhere, meaning there was more than likely multiple entrances from anywhere unknown, so there was an expected visit from the creatures sooner or later. The cave kept the temperature surprisenly somewhat higher than it was in the open, although not much, but with a good coat on and being sheltered from the wind, the former Sith was fine.

All Artyr would do was wait, weapon in hand, for a Jedi, if there even was any in this hell hole of a planet.. So if none would come, he would make sure the caves would never be used as a supply of crystals for the Jedi again.. But some Jedi had to be there.. If there were, they would come to the warning of the small beating from the lasers, and even if not then, a strong Jedi would sense the hole in the Force which Artyr had made with his sacrifice.. He was waiting..

*Torn Presley, a Mandalorian Recruit was making his way across the endless white winters of Ilum. He walked through the snow, his feet being 2 feet deep in the snow with every step he took, until he reached Crystal Caves, and he saw 'Artyr.*

"Oi, looks like I'll be your dueling adversary. I ain't no Jedi, but a Mandalorian. We are stronger, faster, and better than any man or woman in the universe. He is the rules. First, no deaths. Two, no Force powers of using of the Force. And third, no weapon of your choice, just a regular blade with I will supply you with."

*Torn walked up to 'Artyr and handed him the sword and then equipped his own, and put himself into a melee fighting stance.*

The rules for the duel were fair enough..Artyr had a sense of respect for the Mandalorians..Or somewhat at least, there honour and strength was what made them who they were, and that was why Artyr would take both from the man. Placing his deadly flechette shotgun on the icy ground, he kept his Sith sword and his useless lightsaber on him for a reason.. He planned on taking Torn's honour, and quick but drastic measures might be used by the Mandalorian, if he wished to win.. The Force was not an issue for the former Sith however, he had no power in the Force, and the Force had no control on him, he was stronger without.. Trained for melee, Artyr was a fighter, much like Torn was, but size did not matter in this fight, the faster of the two would more than likely conquer the other.
"Let's begin.."
His dark voice was not one that was heard often to anyone, but Torn would hear enough of it in his time.. There was no deaths, and there wouldn't be a single death between the two for certain.. A knockout wasn't out of the ruling, and perhaps even a ransom would be in order if only to lure out the Mandalorians even more.
"Strike"
Artyr's sword was held out in front of him in a stance to easily parry a quick attack from the Mandalorian.. Leaving an opening for his right shoulder and lower half on the left side of his body.. Reason to the openings, there was no reason for Torn to not take the openings..

*Torn jumped into the air, and his blade crossed with Artyr's. Using his foot, he kicked snow into Artyr's face, and backed up and jumped at him again.*

Artyr's fighting stance at the moment allowed him to make the block from Torn's first attack and have his sword back and ready in a defensive position for another quick parry..The snow that was kicked at Artyr's face was easily enough stopped from touching his eyes by a simple raise of his arm, his arm being already raised a bit for his stance.

The snow was cold, cold enough to shake the spines of those who had contact to it, cold enough to seize life if used right..Artyr had only blocked his eyes so he could keep his vision, but the snow that had touched his chin sent shivers throughout his wicked body..

Fully aware of Torn's lunge, Artyr had no problem with choosing his next set of actions. With Torn jumping at him, he knew that no Mandalorian could jump far..Even the better of the Mandalorians when compaired to a former Sith or Jedi.. The very last second before Torn's sword would have come into dead contact with the former Sith Artyr had jumped back gently, just beyond the Mandalorians reach. Artyr had brought his own sword down at the Mandalorian just seconds after both jumps, leaving hardly a moments time for Torn to parry after the jump. Making sure that his blade was going in the same direction Torn's had on his attack, creating a harder situation for Torn to block with his blade, the former Sith was trying to create the worst odds for the Mandalorian..
