FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
It is with great regret in my heart that I must announce the passing of our great lizard, Szebat, the first Supreme Commander of our glorious Empire and the last Warlord of the old Sith Brotherhood, who died in combat with the cancerous Jedi Order.
As a direct consequence of this, @Gian Greydragon is no longer the Assistant Faction Leader (AFL) in charge of the Imperial Legion. I would like to take a moment to thank Gian for the tremendous work he has done for the faction. He has served the Sith, in both of their iterations, for longer than I have been the Faction Leader, and has continued to bring a wealth of ideas and enthusiasm to the faction throughout his role in leadership. While he will be missed in leadership sorely, he continues to be a valued member of the faction, and I look forward to seeing what he continues to do as the Empire moves ahead in the RP.
Sorrowful goodbyes aside, there is a silver-lining. @Intratec will be joining the leadership team as a new AFL and as the leader of the Imperial Legion. This will be true in both the OOC and the IC. As his character is a Sith, this will also mean that his character will take the title of "Darth" despite not serving directly on the Dark Council (as it is not accomodate to include the Supreme Leader of the Legion). Please welcome him aboard, congratulate him, and give him a bit of time as he adjusts to his new role!
Beyond this, @Vinny has selected the new members of the Dark Council (the "Darths"). He is in the process of completing the IC threads that will officiate their promotions and, when that happens, I will leave it to him to announce them to you all.
Next, the faction is still adapting to the new battle system that was recently released by the Staff. Here in the next couple of days the faction's story planets will be added to the Imperial Lexicon. You all will also be receiving a host of new mission packs. Some of these packs will be aimed at expanding our interest in the on-going war plot; some of the packs will revolve around acquiring resource planets; others will focus on expanding story planets already within our Empire's possession; and yet others will be what I call "story packs," that will allow you to weave your character into the faction's overall story. I'm hoping to have some (if not most) of these changes in progress by this weekend when I get a few days off from work.
