Nyx smoothed her hands over the leather repeatedly, checking how well it fit in the reflection of nearby shop windows. She couldn't stop smiling; her shoulders were back and her head held high, seeming to take pride in her new jacket. "There are alternatives to bathing; I should know." She cheekily grinned, sticking her tongue out, "But I suppose I don't want to ruin the leather. I'll have to manage."
The girl seemed utterly content with her life. She had done more time with her life in the short couple of months with Al than she had accomplished during her years on the streets. She was becoming something, someone worth being. She was going to be a jedi; she was able to help people and stop evil in the galaxy. At least, that's what she hoped. She still had a long way to go. No matter how quick she learnt, some things just came with time. Nyx was still finding herself, still finding out about her past, about her mother and father. For now she shook off the thoughts and focused on the present. The great market city still had lots to offer, still so much to drink in.
"Lightsaber Lane? Do a lot of Jedi come here to get parts? What stops people who aren't jedi from trying to make a lightsaber?" She queried, looking around at the hustle and bustle lining the streets. She had yet to see any other jedi there and truth be told she did not expect to see any. Since they had left Dantooine, Nyx had not encountered others from their order, which was surprising, given their numbers. The on going war with the Brotherhood had the Army of the Light stretched thinly with no end in sight.
