The ship shook violently as its wheels made contact with the desert of Jedha. Pani, the owner of the small and dusty passenger ship created of scraps, cheered at yet another 'solid' landing. Anxiously Clove opened her chocolate brown eyes and took in the faces of the Padawans in front of her, to distract her churning stomach. Their faces were pale, like chalk, with a touch of grey and green around their cheeks and lips. Not many liked Pani's shaking box of death, but today it was the only way to visit Jedha and explore the Kyber caverns.

Clove's trembling fingers messed with the clunky belt around her waist, until the click of the belt unbuckling rang through the hull, followed by the gentle sound of her feet hitting the ground. Not long after the others followed hers, sending them to the exit of the ship. The Padawan learners eagerly rushed over the still moving ramp, to Pani's dismay, and were met with Jedha's harsh sun and bright grey-blue sky. The five students all shielded their eyes to adjust to the light, some while scowling, others while groaning with complaints. It was warm, warmer than they had all expected. Nonetheless, after one final equipment check, the group traveled north, towards a tall mountain range hiding a sandstone-carved structure in its shadows.

The air was filled with electricity, created by the excitement of the Jedi. They all carried an excited yet impatient skip in their steps, which only grew quicker the closer they got. No longer were they complaining about the smoldering heat or the sand blowing in their eyes, the sight ahead of them worth the discomfort. Two Padawans in front of Clove conversed excitedly, theorizing about the caverns and the structure and what types of crystals they'd find, but she was no longer listening. Her mind had drifted off and became preoccupied with her own amazement.

Clove's delicate freckled hand traced the corner of the entrance, following the fine curves carved into the sandstone all those many years ago. It felt ancient and yet full of life, like a forgotten storybook waiting to be opened to reveal its secrets. She hadn't noticed the Jedi walking past her and traveling down the structure, leaving her behind at the entrance to marvel quietly. "Woah" she whispered quietly as the tips of her fingers traced another line. Woah didn't come close to the utter magnificence that was the structure behind her hands, but it was a good starting point.
