Ask Yavin IV In the Wake

"You the one that found him and brought him back?" Kyosuke Yamato stood several paces behind the silver-haired Knight that managed to leave the Jedi Thelian's funeral before he could. His hood was still donned, hands were still in his pockets, and his head was down ever so slightly to block his bright blues from the girl's gaze. A faint breeze in the clearing of trees around them would kick his clothes and hair around ever so gently.

The Shadow chose to keep his true intentions hidden as he confronted the only other Jedi he'd seen so far at the funeral that he thought felt similarly about the situation as he did. For now though, he'd try to break the ice a little bit with some small talk, even if he wasn't so good at it. At the very least he hoped to make her a contact by the end of this, just in case either one of them might take their current feelings too far, and end up trying to do something about all this alone.

Emilia did not expect to hear a voice ring behind her, not one that was directed towards her. Partly annoyed that she was stopped, but still feeling bound to honor the fallen Jedi by at least speaking to others, she turned around.

It was a hooded Jedi, one that she hadn't seen before, or, at least, noticed. Not that she'd seen many Jedi, considering this was the first time she'd been at a temple since she was a youngling.

The small sephi flicked her eyes once up and down the man, taking in all the information she could about him from it. Which wasn't much, but it was possible to learn (or, more specifically, assume) something about a person based purely on their looks, what they were wearing, how they were standing, how they spoke. People often didn't realize this, and it was why Emilia tried to outwardly control everything about herself.

It all probably made her look stiff, and she was fine with that.

After she flicked her gaze once up and down the man, she answered, "Yes." If she hadn't felt honor-bound to talk, she probably would've turned around and left after answering, but she made herself stay for the time being. "Did you know him?"

"Nah, I--" The young man glanced back at the temple behind them, holding his gaze there for a moment before he gradually dragged it back over to the girl with the platinum hair. "-I don't know any of them." He tried to hide the fact that he regretted that. Tried to hide that he wished he'd spent the last dozen cycles bonding with them, instead of hiding and waiting for them to disappear from the galaxy.

"I never really had the chance, and not sure if I will again." The wind swept up again, blowing the raven-haired Knight's bangs out of his bright blue eyes as he straightened his posture, and let his shoulders rise up. "But that's not why I came here."

Kyo reflected on the way he'd entered the funeral, the things he'd said, the way he'd been reminded that conclaves were actually a thing. Though, he couldn't remember the last one he'd been to, or if he'd make it to the next one. "You wanna double your efforts? So do I. You got something in mind?"
