Anyone else intrigued by Inception? I've always had interesting experiences with dreams, so perhaps the story meant more to me in that way.
At any rate, it was very interesting and introduced a very unique world with a wide range of possibilities.
In my mind, the sort of sandbox nature and emotional stakes of an Inception themed RP is a mother lode in terms of untapped potential. The universe and its rules are also undeveloped, so there is a lot of invention to be had. Everyone could add their personal touch to this sort of project.
Anyways, anyone who would be interested in running through something with me? It'd be a lot of fun, if we could get together an inventive crew of people. As for plotlines, the possibilities are endless...we could try inception like they did in the movies, or do some simpler operations like stealing secrets. Plenty of room for a variety of different characters and plotlines.
I haven't really developed anything, and am putting this out as a sort of feeler. Anyone interested? If so, what sort of things would you want to explore, and with what kinds of characters?
What I really want is a character driven plotline, preferably with well fleshed out characters you can really get into the head of to RP effectively. And good storytelling ability as well, as I would want to swing that away. There will be combat, but it would be more artistic so to speak - meaning I would clue in the players OOC so they are ready for it, sort of plan things out a few moments ahead.
Plenty of room for epicness.
Comment away...if this generates enough interest with some people I think this would do well with (I don't intend to post something that will flop) I have enough to put together a solid plotline for us to jump into.
