It was quick, the shock to Mai, and Dirk quickly stood and left her where she was while going to look out the Cockpit view port for the source of a muffled explosion he'd heard. It was completely Dark out now the only illumination being the small flood light he'd forgotten to shut off. Barely on the edges of ghe illumination he could make out three figures, two humanoid and one clearly a droid. A crumpled form lay nearby. Probably the remains of the lest rider.

He was studying them when he noticed someone in ragged robes moving hastily towards the loading ramp. He finally entered into the small cameras view and began frantically waving his arms. He looked ridiculous. Dirk looked back up to the two figures. Atleast one of them must have noticed, Dirk pressed a little button next to the only working screen in the cockpit and quietly spoke into it, "I hope none of you are looking for trouble, 'Cause i got plenty to give."

Nuru Krest loosened his grip on his lightsaber as the young Sith commented on him being here. She was young and naive, but still just like many force users she seemed to have potential. The middle aged Chiss walked slowly forward as he slowly got next to her but then he moved forward as he looked directly at the damaged ship.

"Nothing is really odd in this galaxy as it is small, The only thing that has been really surprising and unpredictable is the force as it is the power that bounds the galaxy together and decides the fate of all sentinel beings" Nuru replied, his words might have been full of riddles, but Nuru has always spoke with riddles involving the force, and riddles that could completely be understood with a clearer understanding of the force.

Nuru then used the force as he dedicated the living being inside the ship and they were actually three, one of them seemed to be injured though and that was a thing that Nuru expected after the fight that has gone on above the sizzling sands of the Tatooine desert.

"No I am not looking for troubles...but if I got attacked I wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone on the ship" Nuru sent the message through the force to answer those inside the ship, it would ring in the ears of everyone inside and through the whole ship. It was clear message from Nuru that he would not attack unless attacked first as he had no reason to kill anyone, at least not yet.

Nuru then once again reached through the force as he used his mind powers to shut the screen working inside the ship. It was indeed an old trick that was taught to him by his old Sith master and which he had used during many battles in the past. After all, Nuru was trained and prepared to be one of the most powerful force using assassins in the universe.

"I see that you have someone injured inside....I can help but I wouldn't suggest doing anything foolish" Nuru added using the force once again. He then raised his hand as he concentrated the force on his fingers and used it to open the ramp for those who were inside to get out. Usually, if this was the battlefield he would have killed them all, but Nuru was off duty and he was not on the battlefield. So clearly, he had no reason to kill anyone and decided that it was the best to let them choose their own fate.

"Indeed..." Kanari suddenly turned around. She had found the point in the force that had disturbed her. Directly in front of her lie a human. From the clear-cut allignment in the force, a jedi as well. It was not a very tall, nor a particularly strong-looking one. She supposed that should he attack, she would be ready.
She had long-since sheathed her vibrokatana, and now gazed catiously at the young jedi. Deciding to take a chance, she said: "And who might you be?"
The desert, as any tattooinian person could tell you, is a very unpradictable place. Sometimes it's cold, sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's still, sometimes it's bursting with life. And sometimes it's windy. The sudden desert winds picked up about a knee-high cloud of thick dust, aswell as blowing off the thin cloth that covered the overly-visible sith tattooes on her right arm. Great, now what...

((OOC - @Count Sam – What you did seemed awfully over powered. Authors have gone through great lengths to describe how certain powers are performed. In Order to do what you did, you would have to have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of Dirk’s ship. Either that, or taken hours upon hours to examine the ship through the Force. Even then, unless you were a ship mechanic, you wouldn’t know what wire to affect to make the landing ramp open. Reading through fiction Jedi and Sith can’t readily open locked doors with the Force. It’s perfectly fine, since there isn’t any particular outcome that has been affected, but I would caution using such abilities in more serious threads.))

Mai laid restfully on the floor of the Axiom, as she tried to ignore her aching muscles and the large welts that would soon to be developing on her back and leg. Her mind wandered to what exactly happened to that Speeder. It just seemed to come apart at the seams. And if Dirk didn’t do it, then it must have been the woman outside the ship. She was considering all of the possibilities when the ship thief pinched her neck. Ow! She thought in her head. In reality, her eyes moved slowly toward the rugged man.

What did he mean he can’t? He didn’t have any weapons on this blasted bucket of bolts?! Why would anyone put such a nice bounty out over such a piece of garbage? It must have been the principle of the matter. Still… That was when the large amount of voltage charged through her system. Her nerves screamed in protest, but her mind became clear and focused.

”What the…?! Did you just shock me?!” she argued in protest.

Her complaints were washed out by a bright flash and then a thunderous sound. The Imperial hefted herself up, standing next to Dirk, and peered through the cockpit window. Wreckage of the second Speeder bike still burned on the desert floor, as blue skinned figure made its way toward the downed pilot. She didn’t see exactly what happened, but after an encounter with the Chiss, the man just slumped to the ground.

”What have you gotten us into now?” Mai queried, as she casted an inquisitive look toward Dirk. That was when the voice echoed through Dirk’s ship. ”Oh great! A Kriffen Force User!” she exclaimed.

Though her outside appearance was one of worry and anxiousness, her insides were calm and still. Hunting down Jedi and Rouge Sith were once part of her job for the Imperium. She actually enjoyed engaging them, especially when they were as cocky and overconfident as this one seemed to be. Kill everyone on board the ship, my leather clad butt. she thought.

”You have to be careful with the one’s like this one. They have an inferiority complex from before they got their abilities, and they tend to want to showcase their new gotten power.” Mai explained to Dirk.

Just as she did so, the monitors to the loading ramp went dark, and the ship rumbled slightly – with the lowering of the ramp. She eyes shifted to Dirk and her face displayed a certain I-told-you-so attitude, as if the Force User had just proven her point. Mai looked for the com switch on the cluttered dash of the vessel, but gave up when it was taking too long to find.

”Tell them, we’re fine. They can move along now.” she requested of Dirk; though she had a sneaking suspicion that they would not heed a friendly ‘go away’. The petite woman quickly checked the belt at her waist, smiling that she had the equipment to face a Force User if necessary. ”I can’t believe you shocked me.”

Two things were going through Dirk's mind. One: he did not want in anyway whatso ever want to start a fight with somebody who could squish his gray matter with flick of the pinky finger. And two: the jerk using the force to talk was coincidentally making his head abit fuzzy feeling. Something whispered at the back of his mind, and he looke down at Mai. "That was for gettin me into trouble," then he looked down at the figures below and without looking reached and pressed the external speakers button. The familiar quick pop of static didnt come and he sighed heavily, "He fried the comms when he forced those screens off. Jackass."

He pulled the wire out of his blaster and clossd the little panel. He put the charge on full power and guessed he had about four shot before his capaciter was dry. "I really hope we live long enough for you to pay me back for this, girl." He turned and stomped out of the cockpit, went down into the cargo hold, put on his holster, stuck his blaster through it, anx walked to the end of the loading ramp, which was most likely also broken now. The metal on his boots cluncked heavily as he came to the bottom and stood in the blowing sand. He looked at Atarek for a quick second, and stood at a slight angle from him, just incase. The he looked out towards the edge of the lights, "You two and the droid out there, go away please. I'll be pretty honest, some of ya are kinda makin my head feel funny, and i dont like... So go on."

“If you think I know any of those people that’s where your first wrong.” Atarek stated flatly, taking step onto the landing ramp. “If you think I have done anything to hurt you so far, you are wrong again.” Atarek brought forward his other foot onto the ramp.

“And If you think I haven’t done everything in my power to help you this far, you are wrong one last time. Although it may not have turned out way I planned, I attacked the imperials and destroyed one of their bikes.”
Atarek frantically looked in the direction of the Chiss, he needed to hurry along and get out of his vicinity.

“Trust me, I’m a Jedi.”
In a swift motion Atarek pull out his saber and took a high guard position for a moment before he returned it to his belt.

Kanari looked at the jedi who had walked past her to the ramp. Her eyes restored their unnatural yellowish glow, and shestepped back a bit. That explains it, that explains everything. So... it was a jedi... Interesting. The young sith distrustfully fingered the hilt of her vibrokatana, readying herself to fight if nessisary. "Perhapse I aught to leave, then. But if so, It shall be on my own time. For once I, a sith, shall have to agree with the jedi."
"Of course, I could offer assistance in repairing your ship, but I am no mechanic." Her hand left her sword, still sheathed behind her back. She had no intention of using it today. She had long-since realised any fight would be against impossible odds, even with the only-slightly-outdated assassin droid beside her.

Dirk, that big jerk, claimed that she had brought all this down upon them. That was, in fact, the furthest from the truth. Mai had most of the evening’s spectacle carefully plotted out. It wasn’t until the first Speeder mystically fell apart, that her plan veered wildly off track. Sure she had planned to stiff the Speeder Riders the credits that she promised to pay them, but killing them was not part of her original idea. These crazy people had come out of no where, and by no doing of hers.

”What do you mean getting you into troble?!” she huffed.

The petite Imperial sighed at the idea that the external speakers were fried. She looked over a couple of the wires that Dirk was fiddling with. Maybe she could jury-rig the comm system if she knew which wires went to what system. She looked up to ask the man for assistance, only to see the scruffy smuggler walking from the cockpit.

”What do you mean, pay you back?! And you’re not going out there, are you?” she called after him.

She swore, as she released the strap of the holster that locked her EED-1 Pistol into place, and rushed out after him. It was a little strange and a lot frustrating that she kept finding herself in the position to rescue the man that she was trying to collect a bounty on. Charging out to the lowered ramp behind him, she prepared herself for the worst. Her dark eyes shifted between Dirk and the tall blonde haired kid that was at the foot of the entry way. I took all she had to keep from laughing at the kid with the piercing blue eyes. He thought that the men on the Raptors were Imperial. She could guarantee that they were far from it. After the young man ended with ‘Trust me, I’m a Jedi’, Mai rolled her eyes. She almost shot the boy right then and there when he drew his lightsaber. After she noticed that he was making no move to attack, she let him finish his embellished pose.

”You know? I had a Hutt use that very line on me the other day. I must be a thing going around the galaxy. ‘Trust me, I’m a Jedi”. Oop! Would you look at that, I can say it too.” she said, looking to the kid in disbelief. ”And why would a Jedi be hanging around two Sith?” she continued, making an inference from what the Sith woman had just stated to be fact.

Her eyes shifted to the assassin droid. She couldn’t stand tin cans; you can’t reason with a machine. That, and they put many a work out of business; simply because they could work longer hours, follow rules to the letter, and caused no drama. In essence they didn’t do anything that made life interesting. Mai’s eyes then moved to the Sith woman. ”Nope. My time’s pretty good too. You can definitely leave on my time. You heard the man; you’re giving him a headache.” she said with a smile on her face.

Her hand rested heavily on her pistol, as she looked to the scary looking Chiss. She knew of their abilities, and she wasn’t going to allow him to strip her of her weapon. It was he, who seemed to be unreasonable, and most likely to be antagonistic. Her left hand also thumbed at something small on her belt; something hidden behind the size of her hand. She tended not to like Force Users in general, but something about the Chiss rubbed her the wrong way.

Dirk studied the blond kid infront of him, he said he was a jedi and Dirk was inclined to believe him after the lightsaber flourish. Atarek was also claiming to be on the same 'team' as Dirk an Mai. Dirk met the kids peircing blue eyes with a cold gaze, "Fine, we're on the same side. But you should know this'll probably end up turning into a brawl."

He turned around and looked at Mai, "In the cockpit. There's a panel missing on the port side wall. A large power cable, about the size of a fist connects to a junction, and a small converter. Disconnect it. And then reconnect the Orange, and Blue wires directly to the converter. Theres a hydrospanner in the pilots chair if you have trouble removing the saftey nuts," he didnt bother telling her more as he turned a looked at the Zabrak.

"I'll be honest lady. You, your creepy eyes, your droid, and your extremely disturbing chiss dont look to trustworthy. And I dont like that. So you should be gone before the primary and secondary power safeties are bypassed by my friend. Because when that happens one of two things will happen, either the reactor will suffer a catastrophic failure, and explode, or my ship will come back to full operation."

He was careful to keep a completely serious and straight face. Because while both of those things did have a chance of happening, there was a third option. Nothing at all could happen. And then he'd be up a hyperspacelane without a navcomp.

"First of all, I dont know where you gathered that this... being is 'my' chiss, second, the droid is borrowed, third, I have no intention of leaving any time soon. the desert is vast, and I have chosen a specfic area to occupy for a precise reason you would not understand. I have no idea where the chiss came from, and had I not senced something of interest, namely the jedi child, in the force, I would not have broken my meditation, and you would never have realised that I was here."

The zabrak stubbornly chose to continue just standing there, not taking the threats seriously. she leaned against the assassin droid, and it shifted to keep it's balance, in turn leaning against her, creating a somewhat akward triangle-shaped stance. "Sentient carbon anomaly 'Kanari' has no intention of leaving. Verbal argument is futile. reccommended course of action: ignore sentient carbon anomaly 'Kanari' intirely. Aditional information: Arguments against sentient carbon anomaly 'Kanari' have been futile in 283/300 documented cases."

Atarek did not let Mai's word's hurt him. He shouldn't have done that flourish, he had pulled a weapon out first of all, and the more he thought about it the more unintelligent it sounded.

"I have no intention of instigating a fight." Atarek placed his right hand on his chest and used his best sincere tone to portray his honesty. he carefully thought over his next plan of action before turning towards Dirk again. "I understand your fear, but doubting your own abilities as well as those around you will do nothing for you. We are not helpless, we can observe the Chiss, and if he proves hostile we have two force users, a skilled mechanic, and a ship off this planet." Atarek turned toward Mai.

"That was a truly amazing feat of acrobatics by the way."

”A you sure?” she queried in her thick imperial accent. Her eyes passed over the Sith, Chiss, and assassin droid one more time. She wasn’t confident in the blonde Jedi’s ability to help Dirk… if things got rough. Before the gruff rouge could answer, Mai simply shrugged and made her way to the cockpit. Her hips naturally swayed in wide sweeping motions as she walked.

Upon arriving at the cockpit, the Imperial immediately reached for the hydrospanner. She wasn’t even going to bother trying to loosen nuts with her hands. She quickly began following Dirks instructions; first beginning to remove the thick cable. Sparks flew through the cabin, as she connected the orange and blue wires; something she wasn’t entirely sure was supposed to happen. Satisfied that the wires were snuggly connected, Mai brushed the dust from her gloves, and returned back to the embarking –debarking ramp.

She noticed that the Sith still stood there, stubbornly refusing to leave. She looked at the blond man, who seemed intent on help, and then to Dirk. ”It’s your ship.” she said with a shrug. ”By the way, I connected those cables, but I didn’t do any testing. That cockpit already looks jury-rigged to hell, so I had no clue what was going on in there.” she admitted, as her eyes watched the assassin droid with great interest.

*A lone figure walked throughout the deserts of Tatooine, the cloak that hid a majority of his body blew in the wind, as a dark hood covered his face. He had walked quite a distance, the ship he stowed away on previously had crashed and now lay in a heap of rubble quite some distance in away in the endlessness of the Dune Sea.*

*The figure kept walking at his casual pace, a gaffi stick in his right hand helping him along. He dealt with a Sand Raider scout quite some time ago, appearing upon it by accident. He'd had no choice but to kill it. Taking the gaffi stick gave no pride to him, but it did help with his long trek.*

*Some distance away the figure could barely spot a distant ship. He had not the faintest idea what model ship it was. He was never fond of ships to the point that he knew their model number by heart nor their plan type. So he kept his distance, wondering if he should even think about getting any closer to the mysterious ship.* "It could be something of a trap....Yet....I have no idea where I'm going...wandering out here seems like it will do me no better then what might be in there...." *He had to let himself think this over. He could not afford to act rashly at this point.*

Kanari's head snapped towards the newcomer in the distance. She studied the appearance of the figure, and tilted her head to the side. Cautiously looking to the droid on her left, she said quietly "Sharpshot, there's someone else here. you know what I mean. off in the distance, keep an eye on him."

"Master Kyberdash, I do not have-"

"Visual-receptors. whatever." Kanari rolled her own eyes, as she would never had have this problem with droidekka 1-alpha.

Dirk was really starting to get flustered, he had people to meet and places to be and hopefully his idea had worked. He threw his arms up and boisterously shouted,

"Alright! Everyone off the ship! Git' go on, thank you for the help, thank you for making my day interesting but all in all, your all trouble! Shoo. Before I vaporize each of ya!"

He was busily hustling Mai and the blonde Jedi off his ship, flapping his arms and playing to be quite distracted with trying to get them all gone. Eventually by the time he had gotten everyone off the ramp,a familiar tick-rumbling noise had greeted his ears. His ship was miraculously coming back to life. It was time for him to make what would hopefully be a quiet exit.

"Geez," Atarek stumbled off his ship. "Didn't have to be so harsh."

What was he supposed to do now? He turned and smiled apologetically to Mai.

"Uh oh..." He spotted several dark forms among the desert dunes. "We have company."
