Momentum is rolling for the Syndicate and the Hutt Cartel. Nem'ro the Hutt has claimed Ryloth as his own, solidifying himself as a major player in the Hutt Cartel and the Wook has gained a lot as well, to the point where he is intending to take on Balla's spot on the Hutt Council, replacing the old Clan-General with another Syndicate member. All very good things coming. Now it's time for Spectre to be making some moves of his own to increase his standing and bolster his assets as well. Sure Spectre has his really large freighter and his specialists and top notch pilots, but he could always use more. That never hurt anyone right?

To that end, the Hutt Cartel Kajidii has touched based with his codebreaker Aldric Alan. The guy had a reputation on Canto Bight for being a very capable codebreaker and it's very likely that he had some contacts of his own that he can put Spectre in touch with. Spectre remembers back when he first came to Canto Bight with his old friend Ark Insalius to get him on his side, Aldric was drunk and irritating, but the two are on good terms and he works well under him. No problems so far. But if he knows anyone who might be worth trying to get on his side, that could prove useful.

"Alright, I'm telling you, these guys are champs, you can't go wrong with them" Aldric Alan would then smirk and chuckle after he tells Spectre as the two would have arrived on Cantonica, returning to Canto Bight once more at a fancy restaurant in the casino city. Spectre believe Aldric on this. The two would be shown to their seats that the table that was reserved. They are punctual as usual at Spectre's insistence, as punctuality is a big thing of his, giving him time to get a feel for the place while waiting for his Aldric's friends.

Spectre would be wearing a tuxedo and would be wearing a light armor vest underneath it, as usual. Even as a basadi he always had some form of armor protection on him. He would also have a holster with his custom-made pistol underneath his left shoulder holstered. Aldric is also wearing a tuxedo as well. Formal attire is part of the dress-code of this area. There are a lot of people talking across the tables from each other in the place in addition to the jazzy music being played in the background, so it wasn't dull. Everything is moving fast as well. Now that Spectre and Aldric are seated, they would be waiting for Aldric's contacts to show up, and two empty seats will be waiting for them.

Jesit and Jamex Dento were slicers and they were damn good slicers as well - many systems had fallen to their combined skills and, no doubt, more would fall to them in the future. They had been contacted by Aldric Alan to meet with their old friend's current employer, the man known as Spectre.

Naturally they had done as much background research on the man as they could and had, surprisingly, come up with very little. This lent some validity to the claims that Spectre was the "Hacker's Hutt" as it were - the man you went to if you wanted to hack into the Courscanti Central Bank and make off with trillions of Credits as well as the guy you went to if you just wanted the know-how on what the latest, and greatest, piece of kit for slicing would be.

Was it a bit of an odd mix? You betcha.

But then again, the husband and wife team weren't exactly going to complain since they'd used some contacts with Spectre's crew in the past to help them out on some of their personal missions. Approaching the table, they nodded to both Spectre and Aldric as Jamex held the seat out for Jesit to sit before seating himself. Jesit was the one to open the discussion,

"Aldric... you still owe us thirty five credits." she teased lightly before turning her attention to Spectre, "Spectre. A pleasure to finally meet you."

When the husband and wife slicer duo came into view Spectre was intrigued and glad that they have arrived on time and dressed for the occasion. They look curious. Aldric told Spectre in advance who they were meeting and what they were like. Aldric insists that these two are good and Spectre did as much prior research and everything checks out. Going by that, if Spectre can get them to follow under him that could prove beneficial. But this formal dinner is kind of like a job interview as well. This is a good chance for the Hutt Councilman to get to know them, and if they indeed would be an asset, then splendid. If this dinner goes less than pleasant, then maybe they shouldn't be brought on. Screening is for potential employees is something any organization worth it's salt should do. Skill might not be in question, but attitude is.

When the husband and wife would nod, Spectre and Aldric would nod back to them. Spectre would have a friendly smile while Aldric would then respond to Jamex' little quip. "Oh sorry, the casinos have been rough for me lately, maybe later." Aldric would likewise tease back, accompanied by a chuckle. "Nice to meet you two as well" Spectre would then raise up out of his seat and then extend his right hand for a handshake towards the both of them. Once they take him up on it (or don't) Spectre would sit down. Afterwards before he could say anything else, an elegant and sleek looking waiting droid would then approach the table. Canto Bight would have the wealth to commission droids such as those. After the droid wheels itself to the table, it would the four patrons with a synthesized voice what they will be starting with today. "Welcome to our fine establishment. May I start you off with a drink?" Spectre would roll his eyes towards the droid and answer and his subordinate will follow suit. "One Corellian Brandy please" "And old trusty for me" Now it's turn for the Dentos.

Both Jesit and Jamex smiled a little bit at Aldric's joke - neither of them actually expected the other slicer to pay them back and that was fine. They were just proving that they had a bit of a sense of humour but nothing that got in the way of business - just enough so that they didn't come across as drones.

Jamex, the husband, was actually be really laid back man when out of interview situations like this. Some might consider that a bad attitude to have but he was actually able to do his best work when not wearing socks or shoes and sipping on an energy drink... so basically like most slicers.

Jesit, the wife, was a different kind of slicer usually. She specialised in making programs that could be run from datapad and portable com units for agents in the field - and she rather enjoyed testing them out in the field herself to be honest.

They both took the hand when it was offer and gave him a brief handshake. They didn't linger on the touch, just wanting to make sure that they came across well with the simple gesture. When it came time for them to order their drinks, they smiled a little bit,

"Do you want to order them this time?" Jamex teased his wife a little bit, getting a little blush from her, "You know what I want after all."

Jesit rolled her eyes good naturedly before ordering,

"I will have a white wine spritzer and my husband will have a mayloorun juice." she ordered and once the droid was gone she explained, "My husband doesn't drink so apologies for the strange order."

Alright, all is going good so far. The husband and wife duo seem to be close with each other, so of course they would be a package deal. But yeah, so far they seem good. So now that the droid has dismissed itself and is preparing drinks, the Hutt Councilman think it's time to get straight to the business. "Alright, alright" he would lightly each. "So, the reason you here today, is because i'm looking to expand my group of specialists, and my friend Alan here" he would clance to his Aldric "...told me about the two of you and said you two would be perfect fits for it. Is that something that would interest you? You would be working with the Hutt Cartel in that case, but you would be only working for me" Just in case the two have any reservations about working with the Hutt Cartel. They wouldn't answer to anyone except Spectre himself. Not even the Supreme Mogul herself. "Of course, you two would be well compensated for your services." The Slicer-Kajidii thought it was prudent to get to the meaning of why they were here first. If there is an interest for them to be rolling with him, they can elaborate on the details afterwards and go from there. Or find out if they are on the fence or anything.

And the droid returned with the drinks on it's plate, but when the droid rolls all the way up to the table and sets down the drinks. "And here you go, heres your drinks" the droid would then pass out the drinks ordered by their respective patrons.

The husband and wife duo are silent as Spectre explains his interest in them, explains why he would be looking to hire them and why he would be a good boss for the two of them. Truth be told, they had heard good things about the man from the slicing grapevine so they didn't need too much of a sales pitch to believe that he was capable of delivering at least some of what he was promising them. The issue was if they guy could put up with them and if the guy was expecting some kind of oath of loyalty that required them to be willing to lay down their lives or some kriff.

Higher ups in organisations were big on those kinds of things as they both well knew.

Jesit, the wife, spoke up,

"Where would we be working?" she asked with a small frown, "We're okay with working in Hutt space but... neither of us likes to work in one area too long since it tends to make it a target in the end."

Jamex, the husband, added,

"And what my wife neglected to mention... our specialities." he added with a small smile, "I'm the classic behind the desk slicer but Jesit here? She's the one you take with her on jobs. The one who loads easy-to-use slices on datapads and the like. Would she be able to do that or would she be on base like me?"

They quietened up when the droid arrived, aware that they could be hacked for their audio logs. They accepted their drinks without a word.

Those were fair questions asked by the husband and wife duo. And Spectre had the perfect answer, but first that droid rolled in. The slicer duo sitting opposite of the Councilman didn't say a word or anything as they accepted their drinks, and neither did Spectre or Aldric. they had nothing to say to the automaton either. Spectre would then grip his Corellian brandy and place it on the table next to him, still gripping it as he would reply the two duo. "Fair questions and I'm glad you asked. You see, I operate mainly out of a T2 Thresher Freighter. We use that as our mobile base, it's constantly on move from one gig to another." Spectre would then lean back in his seat a little. "I'm also soon be process of obtaining a building that we can use as a slicer den under my watch" rather than under the Exchange, Svallos' own intelligence network she inherited from Gulla's death after she became the Supreme Mogul. "When that's successful, we can be looking into expanding into more locations." and what Spectre is about to say next should answer both questions. "And our gigs could take us anywhere out in the galaxy. And yes Jamex, I will be able to accompadied your both perferences." he would grin towards the two as he would nod his head. In all, "So, Suffice it to say that we will going to many places if you join up with me." If not only credits but also adventure is something that would lure them, then there will be plenty of it. "Does that answer your questions well enough" he would ask to make sure.

The idea of working on a ship was... not unwelcome to the husband and wife duo. Neither of them had any real connection to one planet or system so there was no reason for them to want to stick to one ball of rock and dirt over any of the others. The two of them looked to each other and nodded to each other before Jamex nodded,

"Both of us can work on a ship no problem." the husband agreed before grinning a little bit, "I suppose we all know better than to ask where this building will be located?"

The married couple spoke to each other briefly for a moment as he expanded further on the whole thing. Nodding again as they whispered to each other, Jesit was the one who spoke,

"I think we're very interested and you've answered almost all of our questions rather well." she agreed with a bright smile of her own, "What I am wondering is..."

She cut herself off as the serving robot can back, one of it's hands replaced with an electric carving knife. The droid bowed,

"Allow me to cut your roast, sir."

Jamex raised an eyebrow,

"We don't have any roast."

In the time it took for Jamex to speak, the droid had spun on it's hips, slashing him across the chest with the serrated, mechanised, carving knife, cutting through his suit and into his flesh in a spray of blood even as Jesit dragged him backwards. The droid would then spin to attempt to cut at Spectre's neck. Elsewhere, the serving robots were acting in the same way, using their cooking and serving attachments to cut into unsuspecting dinners.

And in a restaurant of acclaimed service? There were twenty droids including the one already attacking.

Spectre was really pleased with the way negotiations are turning out, he would smile as he would take a sip of his brandy. Jesit looked like she had just one more question, but she cut herself off when the droid wheeled it's way back to them, this time with a knife. That's odd, shouldn't this be the point in time where it will take their orders for the actual food? The Hutt Cartel Kajidii had it's eyes on the thing as his table quieted down. Then the droid asked cut their roast. They don't even have any roast on the table as Jamex pointed out. But then it happened, the droid's chassis spun around and slashed through the man's suit, drawing blood. Jesit was quick to leap in the action. "Oh shit" Aldric yelled as he got out his seat with haste. Spectre was surprised and shocked, then the droid spun in an attempt to slit into his neck. Spectre's instinct and reflexes took over, he forcefully leaned back all in the chair quickly enough to evade it with a narrow margin. Spectre would also be drawing his golden blaster pistol from the his shoulder holster as his back would hit the floor, and he would quickly aim and push one trigger to fire two shots, courtesy of being a burst-fire pistol, firing in it's center of mass. Since it''s just a waiting droid with no actual armor plating on it's chassis, the seemingly nice looking droid should be rendered into spare parts. What even caused the droid to do that? It seems every time the Hutt Cartel slicer is on Canto Bight, something bad happens. Alan would go over to Jamex and try tending to him. They've got to get out of here and hopefully didn't get mortally hit.

With Jamex down on his back with a large bleeding gashing across his front, a serious wound to be honest. The male slicer grunted in pain as both Jesit and Alan tried to stem the bleeding by adding pressure to his wound with a series of napkins and his own shirt. It was working to a degree but it was clear that he needed an actual first aid kit.

With Spectre's double-tap shot, the waiter droid was destroyed, being no sturdier built than any other service droid. Even one shot would have destroyed it but the double-tap shot was enough to destroy it utterly.

"Hello Sir! Would you like me to set that baked Hoth setting ablaze now?"

From behind Spectre, a duo of droids, hovering above the ground via way of their single repulsor engines, came spinning at Spectre with their trio of arms - one with a rotating saw, one with a pincer... and both of them were using a miniature flamer-thrower attached to their third arms.

"Let us warm you up, post haste, sir!"

That scratches one. Spectre is a very experienced operative and even with having to react to an situation that escalated in a couple second's worth of time his aim hasn't failed him. But that wasn't it, Spectre was able to hear the sounds of repulsorlift engines creeping up at his six behind him, he would look that way and would see two butler-type droids. Spectre could see the weapons on them in it's hands, most notably the buzzsaw. The Kajidii had the right to assume the worst after seeing the last droid slash one of his potential prospects and make an attempt on his own life. Quickly and without hesitation, the Hutt Council member would aim his pistol towards the droid on the left and then pull the trigger. With two shots aimed at the droid's center ball on it's chassis, it should destroy it before it can attack him, as the slicer didn't even wait for it to finish speaking. Then quickly Spectre would adjust his aim to repeat the process with the one next to it, once again aiming to destroy it before it can attack him. The Kajidii-Slicer would then roll out of his chair lying on the ground and stand himself up, if successful in turning them into spare parts, he would keep his eyes peeled for his surroundings and stay alert, with his weapon gripped and leveled. He could see Aldric is doing the best he can with the hurt Jamex along with his wife, it's clear he is going to need a first aid kit. In case of emergencies, they do usually keep first aid kids in the kitchen when needed. Aldric would draw his pistol, having caught a glimpse of more droids attacking his employeer, keeping it ready. "Need a first aid kit, lets check the kitchen" he would notion Jenix.

Killer service robots... you really couldn't make this stuff up because this right here? It was stranger than fiction was what it was.

Spectre was quick on the draw, shooting at one of the butler droids before it could finish speaking with another double-tap shot from his golden gun. The second one, however, had managed to already start using it's flame thrower when Spectre turned his attention to it - thankfully for Spectre, the burst of flame was aimed at his head and the slicer managed to pull himself down and out of the way.

By going for the attack, the droid was unable to avoid the double-tap shot.

Jamex's wound was still bad but wasn't going to kill him right now... it might if nothing else was done for it but everyone hear knew that some things needed to be done. And they needed to get the first aid kit. Jesit would nod to both Aldric and Spectre,

"I can keep him stable... there aren't so many droids out here." he encouraged them with a hard edge to her voice, "Bring me back something to stop my husband bleeding and I'll work for you without hesitation until I can't even see the screens anymore in my old age."

James would weakly raise his hand in the "ok" gesture - showing that his wife wasn't alone in that.

The medical kit was in the kitchen and what was in the kitchen were four more robots - specially robots designed to work with the knives of the kitchen. With knives in both of their hands, all four of the droids would rush the cartel men as soon as they entered the kitchen, one from either side and two from straight ahead.

Once again with a narrow margin, Spectre manages to evade the flamethrower before hit burned his face off. But now the droids are destroyed. What is causing them to go haywire though? It's not just a defective droid, either there is a corrupted signal, or they were hacked. Either way, mystery solving isn't the priority here at the moment, the prize, the husband an wife duo take precedence. Spectre went in the kitchen first and Aldric was close beside him to his left as they went into the kitchen, they each had their respective blaster pistols griped, leveled, and ready to fire at a moment's notice. Once the two barrged through the doors, the droids that were inside, with knives in their hands, then started coming at the two Cartel men. The Kajidii wouldn't waste any time firing four shots at the droids (two for each) that two droids that would closest to the right while Aldric would do the same with the droids on closest to the left. Alan is an expert codebreaker and agent himself, he is no slouch. That should cover all four droids approaching from both sides. Those droids do look more bulky and their chassis might be a bit more durable (as far as public service droids go anyway), but that should be enough to take them down before they can get into knife attacking range.

The two slicers burst into the kitchens, blasters blazing and doing good work.

Spectre, with his gun specialising in double-shots, was able to put four rounds into each other droids coming his way and this was enough to put these droids down, even with their stronger chassis due to being built to withstand much harder work than the droids from front of house.

Aldric however was using a standard blaster so while he was able to drill two holes into the central section of the two droids he was responsible for, they didn't actually go down. They were almost ready to go but not quite - which was more than enough time for the two remaining droids to throw their knives rather than try and stab the two slicers.

With two knives each, the two remaining droids threw their weapons with ruthless mechanical speed and skill - two knives coming for Aldric's front and two knives coming for Spectre's back, considering he had been looking to the droids he had been responsible for.

The thing is though, Hutt Cartel operatives (usually) don't play around while in combat. Both Aldric and Spectre are seasoned operatives and gunfighters both. Aldric didn't just give up after his initial shots fail the put down the droids he was responsible for. Instead kept firing, two more shots at the droid on the right (where his blaster would already be aiming at), which should put it down and the continued blasterfire should interrupt it's knife throw attempt at Spectre. While at the same time, Aldric would sidestep to the left to dodge the knives aimed at him thrown by the last droid, letting them fly off harmlessly elsewhere. He's a multi-tasker and as if he was going to let them do as they please.

Spectre was also efficient and didn't intend on wasting a singe second. The moment he finished his droids, he sidesteped while spinning around to face the droids Aldric was on with his blaster ready to aim and fire at the last droid. Spectre had an advanced custom-made weapon, so it's understandable as to why Aldric couldn't deal with his droids yet, but the Councilman could see the codebreaker was still holding his own. he would squeeze one and fire two shots, and if that fails to do the droid in he would press it again, which should no doubt destroy it.

The droids of the kitchen were stronger and tougher than the serving droids but it simply wasn't enough to avoid being dismantled by the two slicers, the weapons they had been attempting to throw doing nothing as they were either interrupted in their attack or the attack was just neatly avoided.

In the end, both droids went down, beeping sad error messages to each other before they ceased working entirely and merely slumped forwards... both of them then falling flat onto their fronts as they were far too top heavy to stay standing as they were. With the last of the obstacles in the kitchen destroyed, Spectre and Aldric would find that there was nothing to stop them from grabbing the first aid kit.

Back out on the restaurant floor however, there were still six of the floating droids hovering around, patrolling for more patrons as they had managed to kill all who had remained. A single man strode amongst the tables in the bulwark armour, tapping away at a datapad as he spoke out loud, Z-11 Repeater cradled in his arms as his droids patrolled, still missing the married couple,

"Spectre!" he called out, "I know you're not dead. It's time we had a little chat!"

Alright, the droids are finished and are disposed of like the tin cans they are. With that, the Hutt Council member and his subordinate would grab the first aid kit and leave without further resistance, they would return to the husband and wife duo. Spectre and Aldric would kneel over to them but were looking in the direction of where the tables were because any number of droids could be out there on the lose and they were checking to make sure the ghost was clear first before administering aid. 'Alrigh-' Spectre with his soft voice was cut off by some man calling him out. What? He wants to have a little chat with him? That's odd, who would want to have a chat with him and how did they even track him here to this location? That's curious, but with Jamex in pain and the slicer didn't really doesn't want to bother humouring that loud boisterous man. Whoever he is, he might be the one responsible for the servent droids going haywire in the first place, and there could be more. Obvious set-up/trap is obvious. Spectre would turn facing his codebreaker and the married couple and gesture them to start leaving the building through an emergency exit. The front entrance would be blocked-off, but they still have a chance out the back door. Aldric would assist the married couple in getting out, while Spectre will cover their rear, still ready, looking in the direction of where the apparent foe is. Spectre still had his pistol out and would guard and keep close Aldric, Jamex, and Jesit as they withdraw, being alert and prepared.
