Imagine a character that was once a Padawan, and then left the order before being knighted (simply taking off one day), and found himself "forced" to work as a smuggler. We're talking about a gray Force Sensitive here, that is basically a smuggler with high standards.
Now you have a very - very, very, very - superficial idea of what my PC is.
So, one of the plots I have considered for this character is to see whether he completely turns to the dark or the light side of the Force, possibly even joining - provided they'll accept him - one of the factions. The change in alignment - i.e. mentality - if it ever does happen, will take a long time - as it normally does IRL. It won't happen in a single thread of two, but everyone has to start somewhere...
Also, I (still) want to do this completely IC and without an agenda in mind; in other words, not steering the events towards any particular outcome. Still, it is easier to provoke an outcome - any outcome - rather than wait for something to randomly happen, by joining/creating threads with RPers whose characters are willing to actively influence mine.
Do you have such a character? Are you willing to try to purify/corrupt my PC? Do you see a need for a character such as mine in any of your own plots/threads? Let me know by posting here or PMing me.
