Alright, for those of you who haven't heard of Zakuul, I suggest you click this link here. Very cool planet concept, and I suggest to look into the Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne stories as well if you'd like. Not really a requirement, but it's a treat. That said, you might be thinking, "Get on with it!", so without further ado, let me pitch my idea:
Zakuulan imperialists. Basically, this would look like the militarists that pretty much ruled Japan in the 1930s and during World War II. They're looking to expand their empire and spread Zakuulan culture abroad. They control the Knights of Zakuul, and they control the young, naive ruler of Zakuul. They also want to eliminate the Scions of Zakuul, which partially goes back the an old feud between the predecessors of the Scions and Knights, the Ashla and Bogan. The Scions, much like the Ashla and the Jedi, see the Force as a guide. The Knights, more like the Bogan and the Sith, see it as a tool. The Knights want to eliminate the Scions cause they see them as a hokey religion that shouldn't have as much sway as they do over things. Unfortunately for the Scions, in this scenario the Knight leader, as I said, has influence over the Emperor.
In this scenario, as the head of the faction, I'll be the Evil Chancellor trope (the 'Jafar' or the 'Wormtongue'). I will need a 'Theoden' or 'Sultan' type figure to fill the role of the Emperor, so whisper me if you figure you're interested in taking that up. While I will certainly give you plenty of freedom, there is a certain direction I need him to go to make this work so be prepared. Beyond that, potential roles include, but are not limited to Knights, Justices (Force-using aristocrats), soldiers, or droids (skytrooper or GEMINI).
Please, let me know if this faction is an idea that would pique your interest.
