In the fallout after Tython, a group of Jedi placed blame on the order itself. They felt that the order hadn't done enough to prevent this disaster, and left, deciding to fight the Sith themselves. The ex-Jedi had turned to the darkside of the Force, hoping to gain enough power to defeat the Sith. For five long years, the Jedi followed leads regarding these Jedi and had turned up nothing. Now, a new lead had been discovered. The Jedi mission was to capture the dark Jedi, and bring them back. The Jedi hope it isn't too late to reverse the damage they've done.
Airen was in a freighter with a Jedi known as Soshat. They had left together for the distant planet of Zakuul. While Airen would usually sleep during the trip, she found this other Jedi to be very interesting company and was trying to make conversation with him.
"So, how long have you been with the order?" She asked to Jedi she hadn't met before. Soon they would arrive on Zakuul, but being so far from home and unsure how the Void Serpents would react to their presence, Airen felt uncomfortable. She also didn't enjoy the prospect of hunting down one of their own members, even if that member had turned to the darkside.
She felt like getting to know the Jedi she would be on the ground with would help to ease her tension. He didn't look nervous at all. Airen envied his apparent inner calmness. She had faith it would work out for the Jedi, as she always did, but she still couldn't help but be nervous.
