Intragalactic Intelligence Agency (IIA)​

The Intragalactic Intelligence Agency, often abbreviated to just the IIA or the Agency, is a civilian foreign intelligence service of the Free Worlds Alliance. They are tasked with various facets of national security, including gathering, processing, and analyzing information from within and outside of the Free Worlds Alliance worlds. This is often done through human intelligence and covert operations within four branches—the ISD, IAD, OCD, and TSD.

P u r p o s e​

The purpose of the IIA is to collect, analyze, evaluate, and disseminate foreign intelligence, carry out covert operations, protect the FWA from terrorist attacks, combat cybersecurity threats, and combat major/significant crime operations within FWA borders. They employ members from all over the FWA’s space, but potential employees have to undergo extensive vetting, and classification ranks are strictly enforced.

O r g a n i z a t i o n - S t r u c t u r e​

Intragalactic Security Division (ISD)
The ISD is responsible for protecting FWA worlds from weapons of mass destruction, acts of terrorism, and foreign intelligence and espionage operations. This division oversees the training and operations of spies in a subdivision.

Intelligence and Analysis Division (IAD)
The IAD is responsible for all intelligence functions and conducts analyses of intragalactic security and law enforcement purposes. This division includes language analysts, surveillance specialists, and IIA agents.

Operations and Crime Division (OCD)
The OCD is responsible for investigating major crimes, including but not limited to: organized crime, public corruption, smuggling, and especially Syndicate activity. They work together with FWA rangers and will sometimes collaborate with NR or ISC rangers in regards to intergalactic crimes.

Technology and Science Division (TSD)
The TSD is responsible for the development and innovation of new sciences and technologies to aid the IIA as a whole. They employ an array of scientists, engineers, programmers, etc. from many parts of FWA space. This division often works in lieu with FWA-associated militaries, or the FWA military itself.

IIA bases of operation are located on and funded by PC planets, but often operate on/with other FWA planets as well.

H i s t o r y​

The IIA was formed with the establishment of the Free Worlds Alliance, but it wasn’t until recent years that activity within the organization began to ramp up. They have expanded their reach and influence since the declaration of war against the Sith Empire, as well as their vetting process.
