[Invite] A Cereberus' Tale Part 1: Conspiracy

[Sirberius]

Sirberius the Hutt's shuttle docked at the Nal Hutta space station Wheel of Fortune. The Hutt came for special business.

Sirberius slid to a turbolift, which brought him up to the top floor, with very limited clearance. There was only one room on the floor: a security detail. A tube on this level reached a private room in the middle of the space station's node, nicknamed the Vault. The Vault was, in theory, the most secure room in the space station. Turrents on the round ring of the space station were programmed to shoot anything withing a fifty meters of the Vault, with the exception of the tube. Thus, as long as the security checkpoint remained secure, the Vault was safe. As a security precaution, occupants of the Vault had a code which would vacuum the tube, preventing any air-breathing organism or airborne toxin to reach the Vault. For the case of droids, powerful magnets encircled the tube, preventing any metal from passing, which also took care of the problem of blasters and lightsabers.

Sirberius entered the Vault. A window collage encompassed an entire section of the wall. The Hutt grinned. The Vault was in fact booby-trapped, as he instructed his engineers to do so. A simple code would cause the transparisteel collage to eject itself, the artwork shards gushing into outer space, suffocating anyone inside.

Now all he needed was to wait on his 'guest'.

 

[Bianca]

Dragutin Dimitrijevic, the "Black Hand" of Luminado, arrived at the Wheel of Fortune. She took an elevator up to the Vault where a slimey slug awaited her. She sat down.
"I've got my end of the bargain set," said Dragutin.
The bargain was simple. She'd find a way to con Marquis Gabriel Djibril to come to the Vault. Sirberius would provide the place for the assassination to take place, while adding Sakaki Uchiwa to the death toll. Dragutin had already persuaded Sakaki to meet with Djibril in the Vault. Once the two men were inside, Dragutin and Sirberius would jettison them into space.
Both would profit from the deaths of Gabriel Djibril and Sakaki Uchiwa. If Djibril died, Sirberius would be able to take Obroa-skai for himself. If Sakaki died, Dragutin would be able to seize control of Luminado. Both sides win, especially for Dragutin, whom Sirberius promised to try to persuade Tusa to make her a dame if she had Luminado join the Hutt Empire as a unit, rather than an ally.
"How will we prevent Sakaki from sensing our farce?" asked Dragutin.

 

[Sirberius]

Sirberius' guest, Dragutin Dimitrijevic, arrived soon. The "Black Hand" sat down at the luxurious table in the middle of the Vault.

Dimitrijevic had the nerve to question Sirberius' security procedures. How dare she!

[Ysalimir are always in the Vault,] replied Sirberius, vexed. [Most are hidden so that they cannot be attacked.]

Sirberius decided he was not going to like this woman. However, he would have to deal with her if he wanted to climb up the Hutt hiearchy.

 

[Bianca]

Dragutin grinned. Ysalimir. That would explain why her Force powers were not working. She hadn't been using them so she didn't notice right away.

"Excellent," said Dragutin. "Sakaki will be here tomorrow. He's been told that Senator Djibril wishes to hire Luminado, but wants a face-to-face meeting. If we want this to work, we'll need to make sure they don't encounter each other until after they enter the Vault."

 

[Sirberius]

At the the woman had given Sakaki a reasonable lie while at the same time telling the truth. It was true the Hutts would be doing business with Luminado but not while Sakaki was alive.

"I myself have told Djibril that I have a proposition for him that needs to be done personally," said Sirberius the Hutt.

"Then all we need to do now is wait," said Dragutin.
Dismissing herself, Dragutin left the Vault. She walked to her suite and plopped herself on her bed.
One more day until she'd be the Grand General of the Luminado Mercenaries.

 

[Sirberius]

Dragutin Dimitrijevic left before Sirberius continued. He didn't stop her. He didn't care. After all, she was his ticket to a promotion.

"Once I get what I want, I'll deal with you," muttered Sirberius.
