ISO: Connections to my 600 year old Jedi

So I'm writing my character and spending a lot of time on his personality and biography moreso than I did with Aleem. This time I came up with an idea with @Shu Rin and I've done before where I tie my character to others already here to make him meld in easily once I get started.

Tentatively he's almost 600 years old, and a compassionate, intuitive, open minded Jedi who's formerly been a member of the council/ master, has forgone having a lightsaber altogether, and has been working outside the formal Order since the Republic and the Order went through their breakup but hasn't left. Haven't fully decided on a species yet but leaning toward either the unnamed species that Yoda/Yaddle and others were from or making a new species based on the Protheans from Mass Effect. I'm essentially looking for any characters who might have had a significant connection to him in some way or another in his life (Jedi or not, friends, foes, former pupils, people who he's met before on mission, etc). If you're up for it, lemme know!

I mean, Emilgotha comes from a very long line of Sith, so he may recognize the name. But I think Kwanli (played by Bauren) would be best. If he's interested.

Why make a new species rather than using a pre-existing long-lived species? I can say with certainty that if the species is created just to live long it will be rejected.

Coincidentally, I do have a century old Anzati Jedi. They could probably be said to know each other, although Kalaar has been in a self-imposed minor exile for the last eighty years or so.
