Commander Saul Perth was dressed in his civilian clothes, leaning casually against a scuffed durasteel wall as he waited for his student, Forim Veridux. In the chaotic tides of war, he never knew when he'd be pulled away from Forim, so in the slight bit of downtime they had traveling through hyperspace aboard the Dauntless, Saul was determined to start Forim onto a higher level of training which he could practice on his own.

The room in which he waited was a decently sized, yet almost empty, storage hold. What few crates remained had been stacked out of the way against the far wall. A simple dufflebag sat at his feet, containing all that he had planned to use for the lesson today. Although he was admittedly lacking in the skill, Saul could sense someone with a much higher than average Force sensitivity approaching. Saul cleared his throat and stood straight as the durasteel door hissed slightly and slid open.

Once again, Forim found himself heading to another training session with Commander Saul Perth. Of course being that this deals with the Force like last time, Viridux had gotten little more confidant. He had practiced with the training and remote saber Saul had given him when off duty. All the same there was some uneasiness in him. At the end of their previous training, Saul welcomed him to the life of a Jedi. With all due respect to the Commander Forim didn't really comfortable associating with that title.

It was one that who hypocrites claimed awhile they left billions of beings including his own people to die and suffer to the Sith to save their own skins. Still he can't blame all of them, Saul and a few others like him stayed and fought on. Then there was those who too young to make a choice about it. But the fighters were in the pilot's opinion the exception compare to the rest and the newer generation wherever they are were likely taught by those who did. No Forim wasn't taking these lessons to become like that but to learn to utilize the Force purely as a means to battle the Sith.

Forim toss those thoughts awhile he opened the door to the storage room. Once it hissed open, he walked in. The Durosian was wearing causal clothes, a brown t-shirt and blue pants, unlike usual pilot or military grab. Once inside the young blueish alien noticed Perth standing straight. It took a moment to see the bag Saul had, then taking a very obvious guess that it had something connected the upcoming session. "Either that or he just likes dufflebags.

With that amusing thought, Forim stood at attention and stated;

"Its great to see you again Commander, what are we doing this time?"

"Its great to see you again Commander, what are we doing this time?"

"Good to see you too Forim. Before we get into the training for today, I think congratulations are in order. As I was reviewing the battle report from our assault on the Nova, I couldn't help but notice you landed a fair amount of kills, combined with our eventful training during the first flight of Violet squadron you're officially an Ace now, keep up the pace and we'll have the Empire booted out within the week."

Saul gave his student a quick smile and salute, before continuing.

"But we don't have time to stand on ceremony. Last time we were working on your sense of the Force, allowing it to guide your body for quicker, extra-perceptual reactions. We're going to begin today with something similar, only last time we took your other senses out of the picture to focus purely on the Force. Today, you're going to use your other senses, and your mind, at the same time."

Saul reached into his duffle and produced a training remote.

"This remote is like the one we used last time, only I've made some modifications."

Saul let the remote float in the air as he picked up a small datapad. With the press of a button, a small blue light winked on the front of the remote. With another button the light flashed yellow. Yet another button made the remote emit a beep, and one final button made the remote buzz.

"A battlefield is littered with sights and sounds, all of which need to be noticed and analysed for information about your surroundings. This remote is now similar. As you're deflecting blasts from the remote, the light will flash a series of colors and produce sounds. When I stop the remote, you need to repeat the sequence of the remote back to me. Ready to begin?"

"Thank you sir."

Forim admitted with a little bit of a smirk at the comment of becoming an ace. After spending almost a year with the rebel movement, its amazing at what's happen to him so far. Though his blueish expression turn somber, remembering that he lost some friends and comrades along way like...Rani.

The her death was still a very fresh wound on Viridux's conscience for he had been her squadron leader during the battle against the pirate ship, Nova. In his mind if he had been done better as a squad leader or something she could've still been alive now.

Now that the Durosian thought about it more, the Chiss woman did became ace too in the recent battle despite her demise. A small part of him wanted to find a way to contact any of Rani's family if she had any. But that idea sadly had to wait, as Saul Perth, his force instructor began explaining the new lesson.

"But we don't have time to stand on ceremony. Last time we were working on your sense of the Force, allowing it to guide your body for quicker, extra-perceptual reactions. We're going to begin today with something similar, only last time we took your other senses out of the picture to focus purely on the Force. Forim widen his red eyes in surprise for a second, that does sound very hard to do. Of course, he should've expected it but still. Then Perth brought out of the bag, a training remote, seemly like the one from the last session. The human commander explained very quickly that he made some differences for this one.

Paying close attention, Forim watched the little floating device demonstrate the new features by control from Perth using a datapad. First a blue light came out in its front then a strong one in the color of yellow that made Viridux close his eyes for a moment. Suddenly the small sphere uttered out a beep then finally a buzz. Once it was done, Commander Perth spoke further.

Despite some nervousness okay not some but a lot more, Forim wasn't backing out from this lesson. Sure he didn't like the possibility of getting stung repeatedly as before, but it was lot better than getting blasted into noting or get sliced by a lightsaber. With very determined look in his eyes, Forim replied;

"Let's do this."
